Energy Transfer. The single best attack in the Energy primary. Get it, slot it, never look back. I'd go so far as to say that Energy Transfer is the single best reason for choosing Energy Melee.
2acc, 3 dam, 1 recharge. Enjoy how a gentle seeming tap does such massive damage. Repeat as often as possible.
(But you can probably get away with waiting to 35 to get it. No later though!) -

It's ace!

A truly great community event, that needs to be repeated! Got a couple of screenies (see below), and some demorecords, and blind recorded loads of footage too - will try and work up a movie soon!
Big thanks to everyone who turned up, for FG for the dedication, to Xanthus and the Evo Radio crew, and for the RP crowd who stuck around at the end for a spot of the old RP - haven't done any in ages, but was good fun.
Cap plots on ways to remove Mr Normal's Ninjas from the party
Cap, Blindfaith and Lord Yggur (Solar) get down and do the bad thing, pirate style -
Only got mine slotted 2 end reds at the moment, and works fine - Energy Drain pretty much solves all your endurance needs once it has 3x recharge in.
I'll be sticking the 3x def in there if I find the slots - I should have some spare at 37. -
aye, if we have to sub, a like for like is preferred (and from 3vPers)- I'll be at the fight anyway to make sure it is as fair as possible.
And yes, if Pyra wins, the beer and icon change funding seems fair -
Oops... Missed pyra off the -1 life list... that's what you get for doing it at silly o'clock in the morning i guess :O
Up to you guys if you want me to do a redraw based on 8 people (not entirely sure how that would work though), or to carry on as above (it would be nice to have at least one villainous alt in the finals imo...)
But it is your tournament, so unless anyone has really strong feelings about it, i'd prefer to stick as it is. -
Right, we are down to our final 9, and with one exception (OmegaMCX) you are all on 1 life.
So, rather than giving byes, we are gonna have a good ol'fashioned high noon showdown.
I'm going to need you all to confirm a time that you can be in the arena for 30 minutes, where we will have a round robin to determine the champions of defiant.
Team A
Katie Ann
Max Thunder
Red Hot Rock
Team B
Columna
SinghMC
Eat Static
Team C
OmegaMCX
Troke
Elerith.
Each team faces each other team once. Pick up 2 wins to claim the championship. In the event that each team wins one match, we repeat until we have a clear winning team.
So, suggestions for times are:
I'm available to referee tomorrow evening, friday evening, all day saturday and all day sunday - please indicate your preferred date and time, and let me know any days you can't do it (although i can't think of anything more important )
Lets get ready to Rumble! -

Captain, this build is all about racking up kills, fast and as dishonest as possible, I have a lvl 45 brute which will only be going to 47 like Biowar, who is built for sirens when I feel like a fair fight.

Fair enough Different monkeys, different nuts and all that. My personal take on the perception arms race is that you have three options.
1) Take Grant Invisibility and Invis, and duo with a fellow stalker, staying at the -per cap for all the time you aren't killing things. (Requires someone else to form up the duo).
2) Take Stealth, and focus on hit and run. Some stalker hunter builds will still spot you, but they can be avoided for easier targets. Good for quick, dastardly rep gathering.
3) My personal preference: accept that there will always be someone who can see you, and use just hide, making use of armours/regen to scrap it out. You will die more, but you'll still end up with more wins than losses. Works especially well when AS isn't an opener. -
I'll be there throwing some shapes, monopolising the rum, and trying to avoid blindfaith catching me trying me luck with the fair ladies of Paragon
I'll also join as many PuGs as possible between now and hype it up. I may even treat you all to a RPS costumed Cap -
Very nice hun, especially considering all the lag :P
(perhaps I'll let you record some of it on my pc next time, instead of that old thing ) -
Ah, the one who ran He gave me a right old chuckle.

It's a matter of playstyle I guess. Whenever I take the wife's stalker into the zones, I have far more fun scrapping it out than hit and run, same goes for her (and she is far better at it than I). I could probably rack up more kills by putting stealth in there, but I don't find it a challenge - I'll still be seen by certain builds anyway, so I'll happily take the easy wins from people without any +per, and enjoy the challenge against those who can see me. Just because they know I'm there, doesn't mean they can stop me
Grant Invis on the other hand... (which will feature in my own stalker build). -
Katie is like Hess - she is unlocked by completing the Croatoa arc of contacts.

I'm sure a few of the union all dominator VG (Force of Will, part of the villainous 1AT) would be up for it - we did a couple of all dom teams in the early levels, and it was utter, utter carnage. My mind/psi is sat at around 10ish IIRC, but would be happy to pop along every now and again (although not every week).

Ok, my request for the costume of the Rangers has been answered. Rocky had already set in motion a costume competition for each of the 1AT Coalition.
Results will be given on the 10th or thereabouts.
I'm looking forward to this, especially as some of the entries are really impressive. Sadly, to my way of thinking, most of the Ranger outfits are "spandex stylee". I feel even more vulnerable than usual in such skimpy outfits. I'm sure that blasters last longer if they are costumed in armour!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, slip her into the TR armour then -
Yep. Dull pain > stealth. Stealth really isn't needed for siren's PvP, in fact, it isn't needed full stop, especially for EM, whose reliance on AS is virtually none.
I'd ditch stealth and barrage, get 6 slotted dull pain in there, shift energy transfer to 26, and get combat jumping at 30, for increased mobility. -
Stone/Fire is probably the best combo for stone - no knockback to force unnecessary movement, 2 aoes for aggro grabbing. Beyond that, nothing really sticks out.
Just about everything works with invuln, but nothing stands out in the same way as ice/fire -

The main reason im setting up two teams is for this: to keep players safe from the one trick pony Stalkers which know your badge hunting but still just attack you with Assasin Strike (no skill involved with this type at all).
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe this may have provided additional incentive to the villains
Not that I was there (really should get around to getting one of my 35s a little higher ), but badgering in PvP zones should always encourage greater PvP populations - it's the whole point of the zones. Taking down the signature villains while under attack from player characters makes the badges worthwhile imo. Anyone who wants the badges without the risk of PvP stopping play (so to speak) should arrange it ingame, at a time when populations are likely to be low, to avoid being ambushed by those dastardly villains.
Your mileage, and opinions, may of course vary. Happy hunting for your next attempt. -
Very, very nice indeed. Pirates always get my approval
-
Highly tempted to send Blind along, if only for the comment about stalkers in the thread
