On.. randomly, but fairly frequently. -
Nevermind! Suddenly had a different idea for my base that seems less mind-bogglingly impossible, so I'm gonna give it a shot. :P
-
So, decided to finally get off my butt and get something on my level 50 scrapper better than common io's, but I seem to suck at figuring out how to slot stuff. Seems like i have way too much stuff to slot than i actually have slots.
Anyhow, here's the skills and such I want, just hoping for some good input on what the heck to put in'em all.. Mainly hoping to murder things as fast as possible, without passing out from lack of endurance for aslong as possible. All I ask is to stay away from Purples and Hami's. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Am I the only one that's not all that impressed with Ultra Mode? From what I've seen, water and some other things are a little shinier, and there's a few more shadows.. that's about it.
Hopefully I'm mistaken. -
Okay so, unless someone comes along with some great revelation as to why this build needs to be massively improved, or something, I'm pretty sure this'll be what I'm going with..
This build is the same as the last one finduilas posted, I just re-arranged things to take Stamina by 20, as per his original instructions (which i just forgot to do, last time). So a big ol' thanky to everyone who had feedback, 'specially Finduilas! I think with all the help I'm maybe, sorta, kinda, perhaps starting to figure this stuff out a li'l bit.

Here's my second attempt, after listening to some of the feedback. Lemme know if it's any better and, as always, more than open to creative criticism.

Quote:Well, I'm already level 48, what I'm aiming for here is a good build to use in my secondary build (AKA the free respec), when I hit 50.. If I can actually manage to toss a good build together by then, hehe. So it likely doesnt matter much what level I take things at.But first, the fact that you're waiting until 44 (!) for Stamina is a serious problem. It is much, MUCH more important to take Stamina by 20 than it is to fit in the Fighting Pool early.
But yeah, my slotting is quite horrendous. And I'll gladly admit my own cluelessness when it comes to this stuff. But hey, that's what we have this forum for!
I'll go through your suggestions and try to fix it up a bit, then likely post it again to see if I messed that up as well, haha.
-Edit- Oh, and to Eislor with the membranes and purples and stuff.. Yeah, uhm.. I'm not really -that- rich, lol. -
Decided what skills I want. Like I said, half the time I'm solo. The other half of the time i'll be with our groups main tank, who is built for being the main tank, so I saw no need to take taunt and grant cover.. As for the slotting, well, this is the first character I've tried to do anything with, outside of common IO's, so it's probably incredibly horrible. Think I just ended up trying to get as many random bonuses as possible, hehe.
But yeah, pretty sure these are the skills I want, but I'm more than open to better ways to slot'em all..

No one else knowledgeable in the ways of the SD/SM Tank?
-
So since I'm fairly clueless, I figured it'd be best to just ask people who know what they're doing, as opposed to me trying a bunch of stuff, finding out it doesnt work well, trying new stuff, etc, which could easily get crazy expensive when it comes to reslotting stuff..
Basically I'm looking for the whole shebang, what skills to take, how to slot'em, what to put in said slots. So I'll try to give as much relevant info as I can think off, and await the inevitable 12 different replies which all suggest completely different things, hehe.
So, obviously, Level 50 Shield Defense/Stone Melee Tanker.
PvE is where i'm generally looking to murder things.
I'd say a good 75% of the time I'm killing stuff solo. So Solo Survivability and ability to kill crap is the main goal. Other 25% usually being TF's and the like.
Due to the concept, the travel power will have to be Super Jump. But it doesn't need any extra slots given to it, if there are better places for those slots to go. As long as there are some good jump enhancements in there somewhere it should be fine.
As for my build allowance, let's keep it under two billion, shall we? hehe.
PERTAH PLEASE WIFF CHERRIES ON TOP! (This part was totally always here, and has absolutely nothing to do with the post below. S'true story.)
If there's anything else you need to know to work your magics, just let me know.. And if you can shoot it out there in Mids format or something, that'd be grande as well. -

We need to have a canadian-hero only costume contest to see who's managed to make the coolest looking hero with the one single canadian costume option available, hehe.
Though I did win a spot in a "Most patriotic" themed CC before. It was great too, as it was held by the american legion, so there was a line of 50 stars and stripes, with one lonely maple leaf in the middle, looking nervous. -
Quote:Agreed over 9000%I think if there is any lament at all, it is that the D is the only definitive hot spot these days. RP flares up here and there, and we all have our private circles we RP in as well, but the game could use another cross-faction spot. I mean when you have to use the entrance to the Rikti War Zone to get something other than a discotheque, well the situation makes me a little sad.
Personally I don't like the D because a lot of the RP and character concepts found there are simply, well, retarded. Not gonna give examples, just because i think it's silly as all hell, doesn't mean i should insult other peoples specific concepts publically :P
But I go there because where the hell else will I find roleplayers outside of my own SG? Seriously? That and, you know, they're not all rampaging butch lesbian demons who feed off sexual fluids to power their 5,000 year old smokin' hot corpse, or whatnot. There are, occasionally, some normal characters to be found as well.
P.S. Actually, it doesn't even have to be cross-faction. I'd be perfectly fine with hotspots both redside specific and blueside specific. But as far as I know, those dont exist either. -
Speaking of costumes, anyone notice how theres about 100 different ways to have an american themed costume. And all you can do for a canadian themed one is have a maple leaf on your chest? Isn't even a canadian style cape!
But oh lawdy, you can be covered with all different variations of the american flag.
They need a pack thats just emblems and flavour stuff based on all the different flags of the world, hehe. -
I think this SG should come into existance (Mainly because my canadian hero needs somewhere to go be canadian in).
I also think a requirement to join, besides a canadian character, is to actually be a canadian player!
Don't need any americans spying on our secret plans to ally with cuba and surround them. -
I'm pretty much clueless, hence the post, so I'll basically respec into whatever people-who-know-what-they're-doing determine to be a good soloing type Bots/FF build.
-
For a Bots/FF.
Mainly for Soloing/Farming.
Notes:
* Level 32.
* Would prefer to NOT have any of the 3 Bots pistol abilities.
* Would prefer to have 6 slotted superjump.
* Can pretty much only afford the university style IO's.
* Would be snazzy if you included the level 50 version of the build, so i know where to go once i start leveling.
P.S. My Endurance seriously needs some love. -
I think the only way someone should get away with performing a violent act in RP in Pocket D, is if they're then willing to never enter Pocket D again, due to being banned by DJ Zero for breaking the no violence rule (at least outside of the arena, anyway).
At least then people might reconsider being a ****** more thoroughly.
As for out in the normal world, I'm sure something like fetus stabbing would get all sorts of law dudes on yer butt.
Basically what I'm saying is I don't mind that kinda stuff if the other person is also willing to RP the consequences of their actions. But if they're doing it and then just walking around like they didnt just stab a fetus or whatever, then they're annoying and dumb, and feel free to ignore whatever the hell they just did.
If you want someone else to suffer the consequences of your actions, RPly, then you have to suffer the consequences as well, IMO.
And as someone said earlier, the whole "tries" thing is probably the most important rule to follow, to avoid being an annoying godmoding ******. -
Sadly i didn't have the chance to collect mine before the shard went down. Ah well.
-
It's up. At least for now.
Hopefully it stays that way. -
I'm sorry, but is there -any- point to all these spammy rookery threads? I find it hard to locate actually useful threads among all of these. Not only that, but they're plain ol' annoying.
Perhaps create your own guild or whatever forums for this kind of thing, rather than polluting the forum we all have to use with it?
Seriously.. it's been annoying for months.
It might not even be so bad if anything in these threads was clever or funny, but it's always just mindless crap, it isn't even mildly amusing. -
Only thing i miss about farms is they were a good pick me up every now and then when i got flat out sick and tired of "go into a warehouse, kill some guys, do it fifty times and level once."
I mean the default content is already almost as repetitive as a farm, just incredibly slower.
I'm glad they nerfed it, cause it was crazily imbalanced, but it was good every now and then when i was getting impatient to hit a certain level or something. -
Howdy, a friend and I have been looking for good Hero/Villain groups to join in with for a while now, and finding it a bit hard to catch one that might suit us. We've both been RPers for ages (just haven't had the chance in this specific game yet), are very much NOT drama queens, and are just looking for some people who're fun to rp and play the game with.
So just curious if anyone knows any groups on either side which are heavy RP, but without the ERP, Godmoders, Catgirls or general Anime horribleness. Something along the lines of more classic hero/villain type groups (since that's the setting we're in).. Doesn't really matter how big the group is, but I'd imagine somewhere in the middle would be good. Too small and you never find anyone, too big and you just become a random face in the crowd.
We also like to actually play the game itself, so a group that teams up and goes out and does stuff now and then would be great as well.
I'm sure theres a good few suitable groups out there on both sides, I've just had a horrible time trying to find one for us. So I figured this couldn't hurt.. So if you know of one that might suit us, and that we might suit, slap down the info and hopefully we can get together!
