My Dom hits SS cap at 92.5mph but set bonuses will be able to push that a bit higher. And the temp movement speed buffs might do similarly.
[/ QUOTE ]
There isn't a SS cap, there's a global runspeed cap, and nothing will take you past the runspeed cap, that's why it's the cap.
Unslotted SS + Set bonuses will get you to the cap, but not one cm/hour past it. -
I eventually made it on at 22:20, but it was more symbolic than anything else, since by the look of various friends lists everyone was long gone.
I've not missed a Monday yet, technically. (but that may be stretching things a little...)
Updated the GMOTD with a meeting point for next week,
Hope those that made it had a decent evening. -
I'm not sure whether I'll be there tonight or not, since my lower spine is still screaming at me.

You can do some seriously interesting things with the base builder these days, since I13.
However... Getting the more interesting things done requires taking a 15 minute detour into stacking other items on each other to get yourself a 'working surface' to hang items on.
Now, IIRC, each space in a base room is divided into something like 32x32 grid points horizontally, and however many vertically.
What I'd like to suggest is a set of 'nudge' keys that would shift the currently selected base item one grid division north, south, east, west, up or down. (Posibly also add an extra Shift+Nudge key option to move 10 grid divisions at a time.)
Bingo, no more stacking huge numbers of floor safes, wall lights or ceiling lights in order to get your ceiling domes floating in the middle of the room, or to stick your Zone Beacons to their respective teleporters etc. etc.
Basically, it is my humble contention that such nudge functionality would save huge amounts of time in base editing, and remove a large section of the sometimes very steep learning curve that goes with the base editor at the moment.
(PS, let us have double width doorways between rooms, too :P )
:edited thread title: -
Took us just shy of 3 hours for the STF.
We missed out on the MoSTF by one faceplant, in the damn tree room. The tree, and GW/Scirocco are the two biggest stumbling blocks in MoSTF attempts in my experience.
Ah well, it was a good run, all told. And Abyssal managed (more or less) to survive Recluse, thanks to the attentions of Doc Green guest starring as 'Tanker Life Support'
This Sunday, will be an attempt on MoSTF. CF toons not essential, but two toons so far are fixed. I'll be tanking on Tufa, and Lifeline will be badgewhoring on Corten.
Other than that, buffs/debuffs/damage/control all welcome
(PS, the tree faceplant was 95% lag and 5% bad luck, and NOT Abyssal, either :P The lag in the Tree room was intensely annoying and, as it turned out, lethal.) -

I've done a 6 blaster, 1 TA/A defender and 1 scrapper one of these and it still dragged like nobody's business.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a reason it's worth 111 merits.... -
[ QUOTE ]
Actually I better cancel, I don't think I'll be there for sure or not
Sorry guys.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't worry. If there's enough interest, It shouldn't be too hard to schedule another run for a future Sunday.
Besides, I know Lifeline and I still want to do a successful MoSTF run at some point. (we've gotten oh so close in the past, but I forgot to get CM'd and GW managed a hit with Soul Storm as her second attack...)

Since logging out for some food a little while ago I haven't been able to get the updater to connect. Tried the -project eucoh workaround and still no luck. Will keep attempting to connect. Anyone else having trouble?
Edit - Still cant connect
[/ QUOTE ]
I had a little trouble logging in at about 6:30pm, took about 5 mins to connect, but at least you got in just in time.
Easy mode Statesman done, 2 hours 31 minutes.
Easy mode because we had a) A Stone tank with Granite, b) an empath, c) good amounts of debuff/damage on the rest of the team.
Apologies to everyone on the team if you knew everything I was bossing you around with, but I find it helps to go over things on that TF.
Only a few faceplants, mostly blasters and defenders.
Team photo (we had a Rock Imp too, but he had to go before we got back out to Statesman.
(as a side note to Statik Hazard, thanks for making up the 8th member, and congrats on your first 50) -
[ QUOTE ]
Sign me up please! Hypo is now at 49.5 and it would be cool to hit 50 on the States tf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Slight change of plans.
Abyssal's not going to be around on Sunday.
That, however does not prevent an STF going ahead.
One of the advantages of having played for as long as I have is that I basically have a full roster of toons to fill gaps in teams. (I'm currently on 2 tanks, 2 scrappers, 2 controllers, 1 blaster, 1 defender, 1 Warshade) If we need a tank, I can tank. Likewise for other possible gaps in the team makeup.
So, assuming we get 8 people turn up on Sunday, then we'll sort out alts then.
This also means that since Abyssal wants to tank the STF, that we'll likely be doing it again on Monday.
This means that so far it's :
Sunday:
1) a Li Sensei alt
2) Piranha coldshot, or possibly a Doc T alt.
3) Hypothermiatrix.
4) Tolledo
5)
6)
7)
8)
Monday:
1) Aerial Deceiver
2) Abyssal Chill
3) Tolledo/Unnamed Empath
4)
5)
6)
7)
8) -

Would it be a good idea for someone with a US account to ask a red-name on the US boards what's going on? There's nothing about it on the board over there at all.. I'm beginning to wonder if the US community know what's going on :/
[/ QUOTE ]
They know, they just don't particularly seem to give a monkeys about it. -
It may not have particularly been noticed in all the random chatter on Monday evening, but this Sunday's TF is going to the Statesman.
Abyssal's going to be trying to tank it, I'll be on Aerial.
Other than that, and a couple of slots reserved for a couple of friends, places are open.
If possible, can we try and start this one relatively early, please? As close to 7pm as feasible.
(In case it goes on beyond 10pm on Sunday, I'd prefer Cold Front compatible toons, but I'm not going to get massively bent out of shape about it.) -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah was good fun, almost two levels worth and we had a winner for the best use of an AoE sleep power in a DoT heavy team
[/ QUOTE ]
So good it even got noticed by someone other than the controller using the power -
Let me see, Sunday we spent 2 hours bouncing round the Chantry doing Shards 3.
Tonight, we whipped through Daedalus' arcs (both of them), with some 'interesting' moments against three or four spawns at a time. Ghost Widow, however, was a walkover.
After that was over and done with, we popped into another Carnie mission, and finally, Aerial has the Illusionist badge, Huzzah!
Other people are closing in on that badge too, so shouldn't be too much more Carnie related pain to bear.
Once that's out of the way, I was thinking of maybe going through the Warzone stuff.
But anyway, nice night tonight. Makes a little bit of a change to not be finishing off a TF on a Monday evening after the last couple of weeks.
This Sunday's TF is Shards 4. (odd that, isn't it?)
The Meeting point it Faathim the Kind in the Chantry. -
[ QUOTE ]
So is it the Justin Augustine Task Force, called "The Saga of Faathim", or the "The Saga of Lanaru", also known as "Faathim the Kind Task Force"? I'm confused, there are too many Faathim options!
[/ QUOTE ]
Shards 3 is the one I linked back up ^^ there. -
[ QUOTE ]
55 Merits
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope.
But I'm not telling. Time for Echo to learn how to look these things up for himself. He's a big boy now (allegedly :P ) -
[ QUOTE ]
Sounds good, count me in. What time do you start and when do you expect to finish?
[/ QUOTE ]
You know, after at least 6 months of this, you'd think people would know by now :P
7-7:30pm start.
Will go on until a) it's done, or b) 10pm arrives.
If situation b) occurs then we'll call it a night, and finish on Monday evening, so Cold Front toons preferable.
(the 10pm cutoff time is because of people having to get up on Monday morning to go to work for a living...)
And I've no idea how many merits you get for Shards 3, nor do I really care that much. I suspect you could look it up on Redtomax or Paragonwiki if you were suitably inclined. I'm not. -
This Sunday's plan is Shards 3, AKA The Saga of Faathim.
Yes, it's 33 missions long.
No, that's not an issue, as a lot of them are 'go there, click a glowy, ok, now go THERE and click a glowy', with assorted 'Beat up <x> of <y> at <position z>, if you'd be so kind'
I'll be taking Aerial again, we need 8 to start, and it's minimum level 44, for those who can't be arsed to read links (yes, I'm looking at you, Echo :P ) -
[ QUOTE ]
Managed to catch a pic of Echo dinging 50
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean there's actually a tank in there somewhere?
Finished Ruladak tonight.
Since it was basically a Cold Front TF, then tactics usually boil down to CHARGE!.
Barreled our way through the caves, squishing Rularuu as if they were inconsequential, did minor prep at the door to Ruladak, (wedding bands, oranges, etc.) Opened the door, and zerged in. Ruladak's minions died, and then shortly thereafter so did he
Being on a team with 3 Storm Control toons gives you a Stupid amount of debuff, and AV's tend not to last overly long.
Let me see, our team was
1 Ice/Dark tank (Abyssal)
1 Illusion/Storm Controller (Aerial)
1 Earth/Storm Controller (Barsin, who is NOT a tank, no matter how much they may think they are)
1 Storm/Ice Defender (Tolledo, I *think* Tolledo's secondary is ice, I could be wrong)
1 Cold/Dark Defender (Hypothermiatrix)
1 Empathy/Energy Defender (Doc Green)
1 Katana/Regen Scrapper (Mrs Tremaine (MJ))
1 Fire/Fire Scrapper. (Red Condor, courtesy of the 1AT)
HUGE amounts of debuff available. Decent amounts of healing for the irritation of Overseers never bleeding well missing, regardless of how much defence you've got and pets/damage coming out of our ears.
Always entertaining to see how easily you can cope with situations that would give some other teams pause. Like aggroing 3 separate 8 man unyielding sized spawns of Nemesis at once
(please note, the non-CF compatible toons were there as Sunday evening is not 100% CF, and I was hoping to get it all done last night, but the lag killed any chances of doing that.) -
Well, not done yet, so Aerial, Barsin, Tolledo, Hypothermiatrix and Abyssal are all still locked onto Shards 2 for tomorrow evening.
Got 10 out of the 15 missions done, but we were a little scuppered by the huge amount of lag we had at the start. The first couple of missions were a nightmare. -
[ QUOTE ]
Are you resolute in keeping my Belle at level 49.5 forever Canine?
I'll show up if I can make it. Is this one that will likely continue into Monday?
[/ QUOTE ]
a) Read the link, noob. It's a 40-50 TF, so you'll be able to get to 50.
b) it shouldn't last into Monday if we're quick, however, I'll be applying the 'stop at 10pm regardless' rule, as people have to get up for work on Mondays (boo!).
c) Sara Moore's in the Cascade Archipelago. Opening access to the Mole Point between FBZ and the Cascades may be a bonus. (I'll leave figuring out how to open it as an exercise for the reader :P )
d) I'll be taking Aerial.
e) We'll need 8 bodies to start it. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm up for shards 2. Normal 7pm kick off?
[/ QUOTE ]
Aye, normal 7-7:30 start.
Not as long as Dr Q, but can be a bit of a swine. -

Just a quick reminder.. I've moving today, and so won't be around this week as BT won't have set things upGood luck and see you next week
Jonathan

Good luck moving more stuff than you ever thought you could fit in one place to another place.
Sunday's going to be Shards 2, I think, assuming we get enough bodies. -
[ QUOTE ]
Are you on Defiant or Union as my wife and I both have villians at 42 & 41 looking to push them up to 50 or close
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, since it's posted in the 'Union - Villains' Board, I'd assume Union -
Dr Quaterfield done.
Total time was about 5 hours 50 minutes, at a rough guess. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.
Not bad going at all.

Hmm, don't seem to be able to link to the group photo...

I'll be around (and not in the TF).. Can send my Tank along if he's needed as well

This may be required, as both of the regular tanks are currently tied up with unfinished business.
