I went Regen as a secondary. I haven't played it since launch - it's the secondary of my first level 50 character.

Have I made a mistake? I thought I could focus more on the Kinetic Melee since Regen has a few skippable powers.

I'm all about trying this powerset but I cannot make up my mind on the Secondary.

Beta testers, was there a Secondary that stood out?

Texas, thanks for the advice - a couple of shortcuts still exist that don't have the -test extension so I deleted the checksum and tried one of those.

According to the Updater - in an hour and a half I'll be ready to go. I can wait that long. Hopefully it will do the trick. Does it sound like I'm on the right track? An hour to get back to the live version seems reasonable to me.

Long story short, been away a looong time. Picked the game up again recently to try out the new powersets.

I have access to two computers, one is updated and ready to go- I was playing yesterday. The second computer, not so much. I think it was last powered on in April or May. I just fired up the second computer and that's where my troubles began.

I'm not sure- but I think I just replaced my live files with training room files. I search my drives for cohupdater.exe and every shortcut I find loads the training room instead of live.

Is there a fix for this beyond downloading the game again? Any shortcuts I can rename? I remember a quick solution for installing the training room - but there's probably no way to back to the live version, is there? Yikes.

I'm going to try and adapt your build FF/Ice/Psi to FF/DP/Power for a concept I have.

Looks like I can still get good results...maybe? I'm not really a build scientist. Any advice?

I lost a single slot on Virtue last night. I deleted an old character to make a new one and the slot became unavailable. The shopping bag icon disappeared as well.

Since i12 hit I've had more than a little trouble connecting to the log in server. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I cleared my weekend in advance and took friday off. I normally wouldn't do that sort of thing but hey, it's just two weekends out of the year, might as well go nuts.

I took a controller from 18 to 27 (Wormhole!) a Scrapper from 12 to 19 (Vengeful Strike!) another Controller from 12 to 16 (Telekinesis!) a Tank from 18-20 (KO Blow!) and got a level or two on assorted other characters.

Phew. Would you believe I still didn't get everything done I wanted to?

I had slow loading on Virtue but otherwise, no probs. Now my teams on the other hand... some of them were an exercise in frustration. I could tell when I had a good one going and I stayed with them as long as I could.

Yes! I've caught a little break in regards to protecting my creation. We recently hired a new Vice President at our company and his wife is *drumrolllll* a copyright lawyer!

I should be able to get loads of info and direction from those two. I'm super pumped.

I just completed my 15th issue and I'm cooking up a very simple website to go up in July. July being significant because it will mark one year of work.

I have already sent myself a few copies through certified mail so if all else fails, I have that to help my cause should something go horribly wrong.

I'm torn here... Throw some of my work onto the webbernet and risk some plagiarism or copycat madness. Or... work for the rest of the year on something no one will be interested in...

I hope no one thinks I'm an egomaniac who thinks his story is so great people are ready to yank it out from him. I promise I'm just being cautious with something that is uniquely mine.

Thanks Zekiran_Elfmaker. This has already been a huge investment of time. I began work on this last July and while reaction to what I've written thus far has been positive- I need an audience that will be brutally honest.

Since I have nothing to sell and no artist to "wrap" the project into what I had envisioned I'll save my cash for now.

Creating a NDA is something I'm familiar with from my video production days so I can protect myself that way. Great idea. Thanks.

Another question. Rather than spend the rest of the year completing the comic without valuable feedback- do you think I can I copyright the first issue and story synopsis- and go ahead and let people read what I've completed so far?

Hey all - I've posted here before in regards to my comic. Right now it exists only in script form. I'm now preparing to send a good portion of it to the US Copyright Office.

So- which of the headings found here apply to a comic that has not yet been illustrated?

Once I do this I'd really like to get more people reading my comic. I suspect it will take me the rest of the year to complete it. Currently I have completed 14 issues and I'm looking at about 50 issues total. It is very possible that number could climb higher to reach the conclusion I have in mind.

Thanks for the thoughts on the website. I don't want to alienate anyone with excessive fluff. I promise to make it classy- although everyone has a different idea of what classy is. I mean, I thought seizurerobots robots was pretty top notch once I stopped vomiting.

I guess I could do some of the more elaborate stuff through links off the main page. Music could be an optional thing. I'm still trying to make original music happen but I haven't heard back from the musicians I know. I may ditch the whole music idea. I dunno. I'll be putting a great deal of thought into the site. It's an important part of the whole package.

I got a super-super brief mention in a local paper from 24 hour comic book day. That was kind of neat.

Anyhow, I'm really pleased that I posted this now. Thanks to everyone who posted links. I'll definitely hit those resources. Getting this going seems quite difficult but I want to see this happen- even if just a single issue.

My short term goal is a slick website by the end of the year with a synopsis and some character art and profiles. I'm going to contact a guy about some original music for the site. Heck, I may even have those fancy scroll bars!

Yeah, it's not so much what you guys told me - it's how you said it. Understand that I've been pouring my soul into this thing since July and this is my first time trying to see what it will take to make it happen.

I commissioned an artist last night to do some character work. We'll see how that goes. It looks like I'm a good distance from seeing the first 13 page issue realised- but if it takes two grand to make it happen then I'll just have to get two grand.

Yeah, I feel the need to add that I'm not like a 13 year old dreaming here - I'm a 30 year old with a modest income. I love this story and the characters I created within it. I've had about half a dozen people read it and they went bonkers. There are 3 more people awaiting in line to read it.

Sadly, it's meant to be an ongoing epic - the 8 13 page issues I have created thus far are only the tip of the iceburg. To see the story through to completion it would be more like 75 or 100 issues.

I need someone to back me financially. Or you know, get a part time job at the Sizzler to help cover the costs.
