Darn fangirls.....
(I need to get me some of them!) -
Ha! Airhead is so pale, even his name is white!
And anyway, enough... Start the arts already!!! -
Rory doesn't cross into Chuck Norris territory...
Chuck Norris asks Rory permission to even have territory! -
I think competing is a huge component towards getting entries... Compare the FART's to the various Art Jam's we've had on the boards... The FART gets more entries and more interest.
As for trying to make it a thing on dA... That could be interesting but could also have drawbacks. I suppose it would depend on how it was managed. -
Draggynn, I like you're idea but... The problem I see with people moving in and out willy-nilly and winning months is it makes it that much harder for those competing every month to earn points. If I was scraping by, getting a few votes here and there, and near the end maybe going to make the cut of the final three... Then someone, or even a couple someones, come in out of nowhere and gobble up mega points, well that would be frustrating as all get out. I competed every month!! And wham, out of nowhere I get shoved out by someone who did a total of two pieces?? Sure, maybe THEY don't make the final cut, but I can still very much feel they stole my opportunity to make it.
Personally, I kind of like an idea like the first 9 months (or whatever) be open to everyone and anyone. People can win months or not... And then after all those months, people who competed in at least say 6 months get to put what they feel are there best 2-4 pieces up for consideration. Once these "portfolios" are chosen by all who qualified, they are put up to a new vote in which people judge on the body of works, not just an individual piece, to see who makes the final cut.
In that way I think people would not HAVE to compete every month, just most months. It would allow for life to interfere but not knock someone out... It would allow for monthly winners but also not someone getting such a commanding lead as to be inevitable.
*shrug* But then again, I am sure some would have problems with that system. Whatever system, people will have issues with it. All in all, I think the most important thing is to be clear about what system will be used, and to stick to it consistantly. -
I loved the characters and storylines but *shrug* They had to leave sometime and I've eventually gotten to at least really like all but one of the companions along the way so I have no problem with them leaving now.
In fact, better they leave now than the show turn into The Doctor, Rory and Amy Show. In other words, leave them on too long and I think there would be a possibility we get bored of them... Always best to leave before that happens.
As for a spinoff... I would ALMOST like to see that, but not quite. I love both characters but I don't think either one is the type to lead adventures. Rory would much rather sit at home and have a happy little family life with Amy... Amy may long for adventure, and have a bit of a nose for finding it... But on her own, or even dragging Rory along, I don't see her as being the imputus of such a show. -
Look pretty good to me!
Besides, the only way for your art to get better is to practice it! -
Quote:Hey DeeDee, you're very brave, heh
Just looking at the guidelines for what constitutes acceptable art mediums for this. Does 3d Art meet the requirements?
From this it would seem to me no...
5. This is a drawing contest. Only (scanned) Traditional and Digital drawings are aloud in the contest.
Animations do not count unless it's specificly asked to make one.
But that's just my interpretation... -
They eyes don't match! :P
This is very nice. I think your art is getting better and better -
popular choice, she is leading in the polls
My only nitpick would be in the one with Atomic Flux checking out her reflection... That being that it's not totally obvious she is looking at a store window reflection or such and not twin walking down the other side of the little stone wall. But that hardly takes away from it being a very cool piece! -

I don't think Avionetca has ever done an art that wasn't awesome!
-
The car is looking pretty snazzy!!
-
I like Pancakeborn! I've made the syrup talk before, but never the pancakes...
Hmmm, now I want to make a Waffleborn who can be their archnemesis!!
Great stuff, as always -
I disagree. This didn't look bad at all to me. It looked like basic Stooge fun. Nothing amazing but not horrible at all...
Specially not when you compare it to some other remakes of recent years. -

You're too hard on yourself, I think they both came out very cute!

Nice piece!
Delta-India-Oscar is definitely worth the price for some very nice pieces...
