Quote:Thanks Caemgen for posting up a piece for the jam. (the Grinchmas lol
)
It, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention as of yet and there's only 11 days left.
Everyone else is just bowing down before my mad art skillz... Ahhh, it is good to be the king!
And to just reinforce my undisputedness, here is yet another masterpiece, this time it's even CoH themed!
Eat my art skillz dust, lame-o's!! -
Dudes birthday just refuses to end...
(or, um, I just got around to finally doing his B-day sketch?)

Quote:I was going to go collect all my art and post it in a little thread, but ... I can't find it anymore
I had a little folder, and now i can't find that little folder.
Ack! Do a search for jpeg's or such? That might work. Check you'r recycle bin just in case?? Eek... I cannot even think of losing all me artsThat's one of the reasons I love DA, let's me keep a copy of everything for safe keeping...
And on another topic, I got bored and was playing in paint...
-
I feel a strong need to kidnap her and keep her for all mine!
I'm also a bit worried... Just what will happen when Amerikatt sees Dr. Mousey??? -
That came out great! Very cool. Thank you so much!!
I think the light versus dark works out excellant...
Quote:Akk Fenian Wolf's are clones. That is some great use of contrast. Is that Fenian Wolf looking at a clone of herself? Or is she the clone?\
The original was a clone whose powers faded not long after birth/hatching/whatever you want to call it... But she wanted the life of adventure, the ecxitement of it... So she signed up with Arachnos for the training and to steal the equipment and then went AWOL to live life her own way.
Alas, as it turns out, the powers aren't all that fade. Seems the clone body had a built in lifespan as well. (Hmm, wasn't thinking Bladerunner but maybe was subconsciously...) Fortunately, Fenian Wolf had access to a cloning facility thanks to a run in with Protean! With a little help from a mysterious Doc M (heh) a process of transfering memories and skills from one clone to the next was developed.
This memory transfer is built into the helmet - whenever Fen Wolf dies (due to built in timer or accidental) the memories are transfered and the next clone birthed... Thus Fen Wolf almost never takes off the helmet so that no memories are lost. (bad part is that even the memories of the dying are transferred...)
For this piece I wanted one of those rare moments when she does take off the helmet. I was thinking of an introspective piece of Fenian Wolf contemplating the situation, the morality, the death after death after death... And I think this piece captures it great! -

If I figure out if Central is 1 or 2 hours behind Eastern, I'll be there
You do know Father Time gives two mission choices now though, right? The standard Baby New Year and the Winter Lady mission. I think they give out the same rewards but I think Winter Lady may have a badge for defeating her so the group should do her (heh) at least once...
Ironik - I would bet he means PM. -
Quote:D'oh!!Never tried Caemgen's way (too many steps
) but I just do it manually.
The syntax is the word "icon" and the persons name in between colons, with no spaces.
So for example mine is...
:iconChristopherRobinArtz:
so if you put that into a message box on DA and hit preview you should see a link to me/my avatar.
Cheers.
Errr, yeah - What he said.
(I was thinking you were asking how to link a name here.... oops. I guess reading is important!) -
Quote:Don't know how to link the avatar image but to just provide a link to the artist:p.s can anyone tell me how in DeviantArt, you link the avatar/link of an artist into your message?
Copy the url of their page
Put their name (or whatever) in the message.
Highlight name
Click the little world and link symbol (hovering your mous eover it a second says insert link)
When the boc pops up, paste the url into it
Finished.
p.s. - Great new arts Lasy C -

Speaking of Nema Art.... The final of Fenian and Gorm by him is complete!
Again, you really should go to NemafronSpain's page and check this out full sized! -
Quote:Wow, I don't think mine will end up looking near that good, but hopefully you'll like that one too.
Pffft, I think Swanzy has a few years of practice and study on you so no far comparing youself to him just yet!Frankly I think yours is coming along great so far.
-
Phew, glad you like
I think it came out really cute myself

Quote:Before I saw that I went and asked Eddy Swan to do his thing on your Fenian "Get Lucky" piece... I tend to get everything colored and I thought you might like to see one of your pieces done up as well. Didn't realize you had your own in house color artist...Thanks CR, I have been trying to lay off on the shading so I can line my pieces easier. My hubby has been helping me with the lining process and coloring a few pieces and leaving me to do the finer detail work, so hopefully I'll post those up soon Nothing brings a husband and wife together like coloring ^^
Still, I wasn't going to un-hire Swanzy so I just got the finished piece... If you prefer I'll be happy to take it done but I figure dyou may at least like to see how someone else colored up your arts...

It was just a flesh wound!
Yeah, well... I did intend to kill him off for a while so as to cut down on the number of arts I was buying. Then, somehow, instead of having less characters I ended up with Fenian Wolf as well... Then Gorm Diabhal.
And soon after commissioning the Nema piece that shows Alpha's death, but before recieving it, I started playing Alpha as a peacebringer and found I really liked how that power set worked with Alpha's Armored Hero concept. So the idea was developed that Alpha merged with a Kheldian unbenknownst to the others. The saving effect was a bit delayed though, seems this Kheldian knew little or nothing about humans and didn't know where the person ended and the armor began. Alpha's cybernetic leg, arm and eye only complicated matters. (The man inside the suit had the bionics due to injuries before he became Alpha...) So the idea is that now Alpha is comprised of the man in the suit, the Kheldian, and the suit itself... And they're all permanantly joined to one another...
As far as cutting back on arts... I am also planning on doing that once again. My plan is to stop buying anything new until what I have out there comes in... And then I am going to decide which of my 5 characters get to keep the psotlight, and which fade away to supporting roles at best. I'm thinking of keeping two mains, probably one male and one female... Also planning on rewriting all of their histories as they've all kind of been tweaked here and there and are a bit disjointed. *shrug* -

Very cool...
But is Doc Mousey in space? Nooooo!! We need her here!!!! -

Well going to let Nema finish it before I have it coloredNeeds a bit of a fix to FenWolf's helmet and then a bight of general tightening up... Ok, doesn't need but will get
Then I'll probably get Swanzy to color it...

BTW, I looked and looked but could not find your faithful sidekick (and shoulder kitty). I wonder what's happened to her!
Thanks for sharing your fabulous collection with us!
Miss Vexxxa: +5 Interwebz for adding the 'Congratulations' kitty!
Thanks!(the approval of the Kitty Krusader is worth the praise of ten normal kitties!)
Yep, that is the masked Fenian with the hood and the scarf. She's gotten a bit more into the secret identity thing.
As for the shoulder kitty... Hmmmmmm, I may just have to look into that! -
Quote:Oddly enough, all my history classes skipped over the parts where the Spanish Inquisition shoveled snow and assisted neighbors...
Well let that be a lesson to ya... my birthday is kinda like the Spanish Inquisition...
Most of it was spent dealing with snow (and by dealing with I mean shoveling lol) and helping my neighbors dig out their cars but it was still a good day and people were very thankful for the help.
