One other way to go, is the way I'm planning on doing it for my Claws stalker, its the maximum +recharge bonus you can get from the power(or any defensive power, see below).
Slot 1 +7.5% recharge LoTG IO, and 5 pieces of the red fortune set.
It gives you the full +defense bonus on CJ, as well as reduces its end cost(though largely inconsequencial, every bit helps).
It provides in set bonuses...
Reduces the duration of immobilize effects on you by 1.65%
Improves the duration of your Confuse effects by 1.5%
Increases damage by 1.5%
Increases the Recharge Time of all of your powers by 3.75%
And the confuse effect will be changed to fire/cold resistance, per _Castle_ on his recent post.
That gives a total +recharge bonus of 11.25%. Thats quite a bit from just CJ alone. Also keep mind you can slot this combo into any defensive power, up to 5 times on a single build.
5x would give you a massive 56.25% +recharge. Just from 25 slots, and 5 powers. Thats pretty crazy.
Great guide though, as all your IO suggestions have been. -
Cool guide!
One thing you forgot though, Corruptors also get nukes.
Give the villain side some love too! -

[u]Swift:[u] I chose Swift over Hurdle as any and all passive ground based movement speed buffs available to you is going to play into your favor. The EM line is a pure bread melee monster, the ability to catch your targets quickly [especially in PVP] is going to make or break you. You cannot ram your pom poms down the throat of a target you cannot catch.
[/ QUOTE ]
Entirely alone and with only it's base slot, Hurdle provides faster movement over the ground than Swift (albeit you have to bunny hop.) It stacks with SJ, enhancing your primary travel power, and for PvP it can be slotted along with CJ for a very effective, completely unsupressible movement speed buff.
Hurdle is the superior choice for any build except pure flyers.

What he said.
Hurdle is absolutely NOT redundant with SJ. Infact it synergies with it. Hurdle 3 slotted for jump makes your SJ feel like SS speed. Honestly, test it out. Its SOOOO worth it. Especialy in pvp for chasing down quick flyers, other SJers, TPers, and even SSers. And like what was said above, Hurdle+CJ is great unsurpressed combat movement. Plus its the fastest way to move around at level 6.Excluding temporary powers ofcourse.
Also, buildup is far more useful then you make it seem. It is an important power, I would suggest getting it before the 20s. Its INVALUABLE. Not only does it provide a nice boost to your damage for 10 seconds, it gives a VERY nice boost to to hit. Dont let the description fool you, it has a +20% to hit bonus tacked on, which is huge. In PvE unslotted it will allow you to bypass things with huge defense, and get around nasty acc debuffs. Slotted, it allows you to hit an elude scrapper reliably. Enough said.
Oh, and the speed pool works amazingly well with both ELA and EM. I would personally go with Hasten/SS over CJ/SJ. But thats personal preference really.
Considering how many +rech buffs are comming with I9 and inventions, Hasten is all the more attractive. As it is, with enough patience, and many sets and set bonuses, hasten is permable once again.
Not only that, but SS slotted with Celebrity gives you full PvE invisibility. Thats nothing to sneeze at.
Also, I find that SS synergies well with EM. Zooming by someone at 90 mph in PvP only to hit TF at the last second and be activating it mid air 50 feet away is priceless. Same goes with ET. Not only does it allow for that, it also makes closing to melee that much easier. -
Wow, Great guide on two very underestimated and underused powersets.
Well done. -
Excellant guide Arcanaville, as always.

Look everyone its this plan and this simple... Ok so u got to fight all them at once and the flier ... And if u figure it that is still only 6 .. The RSF is 8 heroes ... And some of us did it when they was 54's like me .... So dont cry about it just deal with it.. And i hope they are 54's starting to b/c are at least 53's like it was for longest on us .... So u need to stop crying about everything suck it up and find away around it like we have had to do ...

its officially gone to the americans.

Hey! I resent that. Not all americans are idiots, dont generalize. Most of them are.
So..why am I the only other person on this thread who has braught up the new power? I mean...CLEARLY there is something new there. Im refering to the single large spike comming out of one, possibly both hands on one of the heroes on one of the screenies. Personally I hope its a new dual blade stalker/scrapper set, but I think thats abit much to hope for. Maybe at best just some new spines graphics? But would they REALLY change the spines graphics that drastically? I highly doubt it. So whats the deal guys?? lol, im kinda excited. Not about the TF. lol....but the spike. LETS TALK ABOUT THE SPIKE! -
Great Guide! Fire/Storm is arguably the funnest Troller combo, and certainly an extremely versatile and effective one. Thanks for the stellar write up! 2 Thumbs up!

They replaced all PPs on the V side..consider yourself lucky.
-
I for one agree with most of what he said, He was way off on a few details, as people have mentioned...but i tend to agree with him about SC. IT is dominated by heroes, and stalkers. PvP balance in CoX needs alot of work, i think everyone can agree on that. It is a neat guide, i appreciate the effort, and am sure MANY people mirror your views of SC.

Interested in the increase attack speed buff. Is it a akin to quickness? and has anyone tried stacking to see how close you can get to perma-hasten?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have tried this buff. It is 30%. Not bad actually, very noticable. Perma-hasten? LOL. Thats scarecly possible anymore, it takes ALOT more then a single +30% buff to get it perma, BUT i do have Hasten 6 sloted for rech, and quickness on my stalker..once i get this station put in i will try it out and see how much downtime there is. I will report my findings here.
The other buffs i tested were runspeed, jump speed, and +end. The movement buffs were complete and utter junk. They do less then nothing. They are completely unnoticable. Not worth the trouble at all, the end buff is actually nice. I think its about half as strong as base stamina, its kinda hard to test though. -
Excellant quide. Very thorough and detailed, great job!

Awesome guide!! Very informative. /elec is my new fav defensive set. It Balances resists, with toys, and an awesome end drain power.

Awesome to see a dom guide, They are far too rare. Thanks for an awesome guide. Great info, well done.

Well, i will admit that i had no idea bout the 5 second supression. I apologize for that. Since that is the case, i will say that some things need to be done. First fix the pet AI, then MAYBE remove the suppresion. Im not entirly sure why they would put suppresion on in the first place....I know it may seem broken, but MMs were heralded as the "tanks" of the villain side, and while with bodyguard they can be in pve, in pvp they are DEFINATLEY not tanks, or anything close 2 it. Now as for the rest of the bodyguard complaints, TP foe, nova..etc...thats just abit silly to me, everthing has its holes. And since AOE and tp foe seem to be the only 2 of bodyguard, (excluding supression and crappy AI) its really not all that bad. And i again apologize for the lack of tact in my previous post, i personally love BG, and was just shocked at how outraged everyone seems to be about it. And as an aside. MMs arent worthless in pvp even without BG, far from it infact, i can 1v1 almost anyone in pvp on either of my lvl 40 MMs. On top of that i can kill any /Stoners or regens, which is always fun. On teams, Well played MMs can use distance, and hiding to protect themselves while sending in the pets to aid in damg/control. While i will admit they arent so great in team pvp, niether are doms or stalkers. So i really thing some MINOR tweaks of the BG feature are what should really be considered here, big overhauls of the system are incredibly unlikley to happen, so suggesting them is a waste of time.

Wow. The devs hand us this amazing ability and the entire community cries about it?! SHEESH. what do you guys want them to do? give MMs Em stalker level burst damg? An always on no end PFF for every MM? JEEEEZ. Ok seriously. I have read only a few pages of this huge whine-fest and I cant bare to read a bit more. Bodyguard is awesome. MMs had one crippiling problem in pvp. The fact that they WERE so easy to kill, and when they inevitably died they would have to take a full 2-5 mins resummoing/upgrading there pets. Both of these problems have been fixed, and yes you STILL WHINE. wow. Bodyguard is amazing. AMAZING. Anyone who complains that its useless has either never played an MM with it, or has no idea that you can change your pets stances at the press of a button. A good player can be a force to reckon with in pvp a bodyguard equiped MM. Even a ninjas or a nerco mm. All of the problems everyone is complaining about is that bodyguard requires skill. Get used to it.
my .02 cents.

You have 3 /kin corruptors. hahaha this happened to me today, and it was absolutley amazing..we blazed through atleast a dozen mishes, triple SB is truly a sight to behold. So is having so many siphon powers goin on that it looks like you have FS in your low 20s!!! 8D
