Hey Dechs,
Thanks for the pointers. I completely spaced the placement of Mire/Grant Invis.
I like the figures you get out of Dark Extraction and Dwarf is probably a bit better than my slotting. I didn't realize that the PS proc would make up for the much endredux. I'll give it a shot.
I didn't think to mention in my original post, but I am indeed planning on Cardiac Alpha slotting this build.
Also, what do you think about the Forced Feedback slot in Grav. Emanation, and Dark Nova Det.? Would the added recharge from those proc's be worth stealing slots from Health or Ebon Eye? -
Hey DK, looking forward to your critique. AoO is a great game by the way, but if you haven't pick up the same companies smash hit that takes place in space.
Anyway, if you are like me and have tons of free time at work and want to look this over, here is the none hex code version:
Side Note: Been considering how beneficial it might be to remove two slots from health and add one to each of GE and Nova Det. to add Forced Feedback chance for +Rech to each. Seems like that would add a good little chunk to my global recharge. Thoughts?

Hey everyone,
With double XP weekend, I finally got my Warshade to DING 50, and I'm now looking at putting together a final build. I'm hoping to be able to run +4/x8 in the PI Farms, but this is mostly a TF/general content toon. I've read and taken a lot of advice from DK's Guide, so take a look and tell me what you think. Still looking for advice before I blow a respec.
Also two quick bind questions:
1) Is there a bind to auto-combine inspirations into blues and BF's? (obviously this would be two seperate binds)
2) Is there a way to craft a bind so that in a single key stroke I could summon the closest defeated body and activate Unchained? (Preferably without using an auto_toggle command)

Quote:I have hover and combat jumping so I can switch between ground and arial combat without falling below the S/L softcap.Looking over your most recent build, you have CJ, Hover, and Fly. Could you drop either the leaping or flight pool and pick up manuevers?
My current build is excessively purpled, but may give you some additional ideas.
Due to the various tactics for deploying hurricane I thought this would be a good idea. Opted for CJ over Maneuvers because of the endurance cost associated with Maneuvers and the added mobility of CJ. -
Salty and Kinaki, I appreciate the advice. I have made some changes, but I'm still looking for critique.
One thing I haven't mentioned (although might be obvious) is that I'll be going with the Cardiac Alpha slot.
Questions:
1) I'm reluctant to sacrifice the global recharge bonus (already making several sacrifices in this area as it is) in Fissure to add an more range. As it stands now, I'm a little less than 2 feet shy of Hurricanes radius. Is it THAT important to go beyond? Won't I be keeping enemies JUST inside that radius anyway to apply the -tohit? Also, won't roots prevent them from going anywhere?
1a) Or will roots not prevent the repel component of Hurricane?
2) Again, having trouble making sacrifices, but I have my Ranged defense at 30% and S/L still capped. Shouldn't 30% ranged defense mixed with strong Regen, good Hard Control and 45% -tohit be enough for most content?
3) How would the Forced Feedback proc work in Lightning Storm? Would it apply to my powers or just recharge Lightning Storms blast quicker?
4) Since Fly Trap has two aoe's with Roots and Fling Thorns, would he make good use of the +Build Up Proc?
Here is the build as it currently stands. Thoughts?

Thanks for the feed back guys. I put together a couple of builds, both are similar but different enough to warrant consideration.
I stuck with capping S/L Defense, mainly because I couldn't find a way to cap Ranged Defence without crippling some of the powers I feel are necessary. I'm open to suggestions, I just had trouble thinking it through.
I could have used more purple sets, but buying all of the sets will be more of a long-term goal. These two builds are both attainable fairly quickly with my current bank account balance.

I appreciate the feedback. I figured that Plant/Storm/Earth would be hardpressed to keep up with the two known power houses, but the more I looked in mids , my goodness: Easy to cap S/L defense, a huge -tohit, great mitigation through Seeds and general chaos, plus a self heal (granted a long recharge). Then for damage: Freezing Rain, Seeds, 2 Lightning Storms, 2 Tornado's, Roots, Creepers, Fly Trap, Fissure. Seismis Smash for finishing off bosses. Almost seemed to go to be true.
Does containment double the damage of Tornado or Lightning Storm or Creepers?
Back to the Invis question, is invisibility alone enough to go undetected by an ambush? Would I need Invis PLUS a stealth IO? -
I am thinking about making a Plant/Storm/Earth and have two questions.
(1) If I take Invisibilty And steamy mist, will I be detected by ambushes in the AE farms? (Yes, I will be PL'ing this toon into the mid-late 20's with an Alt Account).
(2) I have heard, but never seen, that this can be an insane farmer (with capped S/L defense). If true, how good are they? Same level as Fire/Kin or SS/Fire Brute? Not building this toon to be a sole farmer, but I like to hop in farms from time to time.
Thanks! -
Definitely leaning towards SS/Fire, just wanted to do my due diligence.
-
What about a SS/Sheild Brute or Tank? Do they suffer to much from the lack of a damage aura?
-
I thought that might be the case. Last night, while playing in game somebody suggest Elec/Fire/Mu and also a FireX3 Tank. How do those builds compare to the so-called God of the fire ambush?
-
Hey All,
I know that some people look down on farming, or think it's boring. I however have come to enjoy some of the AE farms. My Arch/MM blaster loads of fun but is more of a second farmer and not the main attraction.
So, I've come to look for the Main Attraction. Returning from a year long hiatus, Brutes and Fire/Kin trollers used to be top dog. I can afford the most expensive builds, so no holds barred, what is my best bet?
I assume it's a Brute, but I'll go with whatever AT necessary. -
Ha, fair enough. Appreciate the honesty.
Is 20-30 mill profit per sale pretty standard? Should I be able do get more then that consistently? -
Just capped my first character at 2Bill and now I figure I might as well cap another. My question is this: With my new found wealth, is there an easier way to cap my second character.
I'm not seeking a "magic bullet" here, just a better strategy. I've been buying recipes that once crafted net a profit of 20-30 million. Is this good, bad, about right?
Should a start looking into purple sets and PVP IO's?
Should I split the 2Bill between 2 characters and earn another Bill with each?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, I still consider myself a novice at Ebil Marketeering. -
Quote:With one only lvl 50 corruptor being an Ice/Cold, I can certainly say that two of them as a duo would be awesome, BUT they bloom so late. It would feel like forever waiting for Sleet and Heat Loss. What would be the optimal duo combination when it comes to corrs? Fire/Rad and Ice/Rad? A matched pair of colds?
Silas is probably right in suggesting two /rad's (although I find it more helpful when duo'ing to have different primaries to vary the damage type). A Fire/Rad and then perhaps Ice/ or Arch/ would be fun.
As far as other secondaries we considered were:
AR/Traps and Arch/TA - didn't feel safe enough (ZOMG, no heals!)
Fire/Rad and Ice/Kin - This was a close second, but worried about lack of defense. -
Hey All,
A friend and I just returned to the game after year-long absences and have decided to roll a corruptor duo (we rarely join teams), settling on my Fire/Dark and his Ice/Storm.
First off, whole cow! Forgot how much fun corruptors can be. So far, this is the fastest leveling duo we have ever ran. Tar Patch/Freezing Rain --> RoF/Ice Storm wipes groups faster than I have ever seen at lvl 18 (not to mention Fire Blast, Fire Breathe).
However, as someone who plans ahead, trying to think of what problems/difficulties me might encounter moving into the 20's and beyond. Mez Protection will hopefully be solved by our combination of Steamy Mist/Shadow Fall/ManueversX2 and the occassionally break free.
I assume AV's and Heroes won't be a problem with the debuff's from Dark and the (eventual) added damage from Storm? Am I too optimistic here?
Any specific enemy groups that will pose as a serious threat? -
Well, since you haven't got a response yet I thought I might offer a little help. First of, I'm just returning from a year long absence so I am still figuring some stuff out (alpha slots, power changes, the state of the market economy, etc.), but since I have a lvl 50 Claws Nin that is currently IO'ed out, here goes.
First, since your armors are Melee/Ranged/AOE based, naturally it is easiest soft-capping positional defense. Putting together this build was fairly cheap when I did it, but that being a year ago, not sure what the cost would be now. I didn't use any purples or any of the ultra rare pieces so this should be something attainable.
I have both Melee and Ranged defenses to just below the soft-cap BEFORE accounting for Hide, which I assume still suppresses to roughly 2.3%, meaning both hit the soft-cap when accounting for Hide defense.
Hope this helps a little:

I'm not sure how the Markets priorty system works and was looking for a little explanation.
Th reason I ask is that I posted a specific Purple for 125,000,000 to sell last Monday. My friend posted the exact same Purple for the exact same price on Wednesday. Today his sold for 130,000,000 and mine are still waiting to be sold.
How in the world did his sell before mine? -
Wow, I feel like I just ignited a political debate. I have learned a great deal about Warshades from this thread as in my 4 years experience, never paid any attention to Khelds.
Do Set Bonuses carry over to the other Forms?
I actually tossed 2 builds back and forth before settling on the Human Former. This is what I had come up with for a Tri-Former, how's it look?

I will probably wait it out until at least the New Year as I do have plenty of free slots and 300,000,000 influence sitting in my back pocket.
I will certainly play things safer in the future as I continue my journey to 1billion influence. (perhaps I just got greedy as selling everything I had listed would have netted me another 400,000,000 over the course of 1 weekend) -
Quote:Actually, I also listed Blessing of the Zephyr KB Protection, which I got from a Recipe Roll via AE.The popularity of AE pushed everyone from doing regular content and farms towards AE, which doesn't drop any of the recipes the OP had listed. With supply down and demand up (from AE PLing), you know what happened.
Listed for $100mil, they are now selling for about $80mil. I know this could be just a normal market flux, just pointing that out.
If this is in fact a result of Theory #3, then I guess I'm screwed and need to pull and re-list?
Kinda sucks, but live and learn I guess. -
Quote:This is the same thing that happened to the Absolute Amazements that I referred to above. At the time I listed them for $125mill, they had been selling for $130-140mil.Wow, that's a huge drop. It almost sounds like someone is listing them at 1inf each to clear out bids but that wouldn't explain where the supply is coming from.
When I checked at the end of "Business" on Sunday, the last 5 purchases were for anywhere between $20mill and $40mil, with the recipes still selling for $35-50mil, which is clearly bass ackwards.
I took that to be a fluke, but with the going rate so low, prices look like they are going to take a long time to climb back to where they were.
I just have to wonder what happened to cause such a collapse, especially when the same is true for 2 other Set Pieces I'm selling and others have experienced similar events.
So confused. -
Hey Everyone,
I'm still fairly new to the Marketeering circles, just about 1.5 months of real experience.
Recently I started investing in some higher priced IO's to craft and sell and I'm worried that I've got bit in the rear end.
I Purchased:
7 Coercive Persuasion Confuse/Recharge
- Paid $5mil each -Selling Crafted for $25mil each.
2 Absolute Amazement
- Paid $35mil each -Selling Crafted for $125mil each.
1 Blessing of Zephyr -KB
- Via Rare Recipe Roll - Selling Crafted for $100mil.
When I posted these on the market, I listed each for $5-$10mil less than the going rate (the most recent 5 purchase prices), but since this past weekend the going rate has plummeted to well below what I have them listed for. In fact at one point, the Crafted Coercive Persuasion was selling for less than the Recipes, something I don't understand at all.
I understand that patience is a vitue in the market place, but I'm worried that I just posted these a fluky times when the Going Rate happened to be higher. Either that or several others noticed the profit being made off of these recipes and flooded the market place with more crafted versions, thus driving the price down.
Am I going to have to pull my IO's of the market (eating the original posting fee) and re-listing for a low price?
Thanks in advance for the advice, I feel like I'm learning a lesson the hard way here.
