Yeah. I always wondered why nobody ever guessed I was Arcanaville. I guess I'm even more clever than I thought. Or am I?

  5. True story.

The room we were filming this in was right next to the men's bathroom.

And because we didn't have any sound-proofing, EVERY TIME someone went to the bathroom, it'd ruin the shot.

This was in spite of me hanging out signs, sending out emails, and yelling at people to just stop using the bathroom that day. That's all I asked for. I didn't think that was unreasonable.

So that's me yelling off-screen, every time we had to redo the take.

Matt "The Television" Stults ruined more hours of footage that day then we probably captured. I guess he drinks too much coffee.
  6. Cold dead hands, etc.

We'll all be with you guys til the end, and then some.
  7. I did edit the page a couple times after it launched, but no one noticed it.... We buffed the Origin Powers! And put in alternate ways to get Advanced Psychic Incarnate Experience. And more screenshots.

    Not Goodbye

As for TheNet's secret identity....I always thought he was Kenneth Connell, from the old Star Brand comic book. Because he looked like he was a refugee from the 80's.
  9. Kevin,

Thanks for being the all-purpose, can do everything guy. Most of you may not know this, but Kevin/Freitag did things far beyond community management, including hands on marketing support. He was also a guy who was never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you.

In fact, one of my best memories was an awesome Hamidon raid we participated in together, which I'm fortunate enough to have some footage of still. (http://youtu.be/js59jVIcqqg)

But most of all, thanks for showing me that chinese restaurant that serves the soup dumplings. I love those, and I was so happy to find one near the office.

    Not Goodbye

Working with TheNut was one of the best parts of being a part of the Paragon team.

This guy helped me figure out everything from why I couldn't use travel powers in Warburg (duh....I was exemplared down...), to figuring out emotes to use in screenshots, and setting up missions and trials for me for our trailers. He also completely willingly and on his own, would send me builds for various characters I wanted to play. Most importantly, he was and is a great friend, and bs-ing with him was one of the highlights of each day.

TheNut had the experience and the skills to be one of the best game designers in the industry, and I know that he still will follow that path.

Oh hey, can I make a really funny joke asking if you can hook me up with YOU KNOW WHO?

Oh, and raise your hand if you were born when "The Net" played in theaters. (Which you still haven't watched!) (Which may be the one smart thing you've done.)

Oh. Okay, now I get what that second body type in the character creator is for, I just thought it was for super slim characters.

    Cough cough...what leaked auras...?

Tunnel bRat, you are the funniest, happiest, bravest and most optimistic person I know. The anti-me. There's a reason I feared you. It's because you made me smile, and that really ruins my image.

And that's also why I still consider Honeybadger to be the bravest man on earth, because he has the courage and strength to protect us from you.

I'll always cherish our time together, even if you never made that Snot Aura I asked you to make. We all loved you in spite of your evil.

And I still think your pigtail looks funny.

PS: Thanks for not showing up at the BBQ tonight. You made Protean cry.

Just to refocus a bit, bAss was absolutely instrumental in reporting bugs in Pools customization - and there were a LOT. Of. Bugs. THAT I MADE. It was a huge task and his reports were super thorough and well organized. Thanks, bAss.

I was really excited when I heard we'd hired bAss_Ackwards (and was slightly surprised he wasn't a tiny blonde girl, as depicted in his avatar). BECAUSE I WANTED TO PICK ON SOMEONE EVEN SMALLER THAN ME. I love meeting players SO I CAN EAT THEM, and I had lots of respect for his feedback in the Beta forums. He was fun to work with and his enthusiasm for the game was contagious.

Also, I'm sorry I almost ran you over the first week you were here. I WAS AIMING FOR A CUB SCOUT TRYING TO ESCORT A GRANDMOTHER ACROSS THE STREET. Glad you were cool about it. BUT I'M STILL GUNNING FOR BLOOD
    Edited for correction.

On a less serious note - Bass was, is and will continue to be awesome. Everyone at Paragon, especially our QA and Production team, wore a dozen different hats each day. Having such a passionate, dedicated player working with the team really helped the game because better. Thanks to Bass, there are countless bug fixes and quality of life improvements we all benefit from now.

Unlike Tunnel Rat, whose pigtails look funny.
  16. I cried yesterday. Of course they were very macho, manly tears.

Today, it hit me that not only is the team gone, but the game will be too. Then I cried slightly less manly tears.

I can't help the sparkling. I use whitening toothpaste.

And as for insults well....umm...your pigtail looks funny.

Yes we did. And you were really cool and nice to me. I actually look out for you whenever I log on, to see if you're running any itrials.

I'm serious. Sure there were some folks who frustrated me, but I had way more fun than not. Maybe I was really lucky. But whatever the reason, Freedom (the server) was and is a great place to hang out. Which doesn't mean that other servers weren't great, either. I play around on most of the servers.

Each server had its own unique flavor, and great players who always gave me a reason to log in.
