I loved playing on Freedom. It had some of the best, friendliest and capable players I've ever met. (Except for that one leader of the LGTF who kicked my fire blaster out of the TF for an elec blaster.....GRRR!)
I'm going to miss running itrials and TF's with you guys (incognito). Though I expect I'll get more than my fair share over the next few weeks. -
AMG! YOU'RE BASS-ACKWARDS??!?!
Wait... I knew this already...
WAIT, CAN I MAKE A MEGA MAN JOKE NOW?! -

Quote:That's how I ended up getting Zookeper. Monster Island. Lingering Radiation. Toss in a Radiation Infection.Another study in unlimited aggro:
.....
I remember once three rads got together and made a herd so big it filled the street completely as it headed for the gate.
It was a pretty big letdown to find out afterwards that no other game allowed you to have that much control and herding abilities. -
Quote:My main back then was a Fire/Rad controller. One of my favorite memories was teaming up with a Fire/Kin controller, gathering up a huge mob and popping Imp+FS......
Aggro cap? What's that?
As amusing as it was to blow up dumpsters full of werewolves and freaks, my favorite was Circle of Thorns portals! Your team versus a never-ending supply of
.....
If we did it right, we'd get a blue full screen error saying there were too many VFX on screen to render.
THAT was hilariously epic. -
Quote:Blargh. You guys were both still ahead of me. I dreamt of having an Apple, or even...an Amiga! The Adam didn't stay with me for very long, unfortunately.Wow that brought me back Positron. I wish I had a Commodore 64, I had a crappy Atari 800XL.
I used a typewriter for a good chunk of my academic years. Gooo Smith Corona! -
Quote:Aww yeah, I remember my Everex 1200 baud internal modem. Holy smokes that was awesome. It took a while before I found more BBS's than the one run by the school district. Nowadays it's hard to imagine kids willingly hanging out at any online forum organized by the county.....and it being cool! You folks are old!
(I wasn't born until '82.)
And then our first real computer. I have no clue what it was, but it had a modem whose speed was measured in baud and it ran DOS (at some point Windows 3.1 was in our house, but I am not sure if it was the same system or not). I recall vaguely searching BBS for stuff and playing lame games through CompuServe.
I also remember fondly how excited my dad was when we got a photocopied hint book for Wolfenstein with all the maps and secrets in it... he had gotten it from some friend at work.
There was a guy named Mike Focke who updated a list of local BBS's. Once I found that list, then it went all downhill from there.
I think my first mind-blowing moment was downloading my first gif file, and then being able to print it on my dot matrix printer. Who'd have thought you could do that on a computer? It looked just like a photograph! -
Quote:I was lucky, then. My Adam worked for at least the next 10 years. What I do remember was that every once in a while, BASIC or Buck Rogers would go on the fritz. Waiting a while seemed to fix it. In retrospect, it was probably the faulty printer's EMP.I was with one of my friends in high school when he picked up an Adam. I think he had to buy take it back two times before he got one that worked.
Oh, I also had Dragon's Lair for the Adam. I was really disappointed to find out that it was NOT the actual Don Bluth animated game, but a pixel-based recreation. It was still pretty fun though.
But the cartridge games were what I used it for mostly. Zaxxon and War Games kept me busy for a long time.
I really wanted to get a floppy drive for it. They came out with one about 2-3 months before they stopped making the Adams. -

I had a Colecovision Adam. Tape drive. Ginormous printer. It came with Buck Rogers, which I still remember because the alien spaceships looked like fried eggs. It also had no memory, so every awesome 20 line program I made in BASIC had to be recreated every single time. And of course, the fact that I could play all of my Colecovision games on it was nice.
I never met anyone else who ever had one. :-(
I think I still have it in storage somewhere.

I'd like to thank everyone here and the rest of the Internet for their kind words and wishes today. If you asked me thus morning if I was going to go into work today and find my head photoshopped onto Sailor Moon's body and then have that image broadcast via email, forums Facebook, Twitter all as part of a birthday salute.....then I'd say it's not unlikely.(1)
There's no other company or community where I could say that and believe it. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed of it, but I'm definitely glad.
Now I'm going to be dreading what's going to happen next year. Still, it can't possibly be any more humiliating than this.
(1) I'd also like to offer my sincerest condolences to those of you whose eyes and sanity have been scarred by that image. There are just some things mankind is not ready for. -
Quote:If you look REALLY closely for a long time, you may find there are costume codes hidden within.[1]Sweet disco-dancing Jesus in a polyester jumpsuit! My eyes! MY EYES!
Oh yeah. Happy Birthday BP!
AUUGH! MY EYES! Tear them out! TEAR THEM OUT!
[1] There aren't any. I'm joking. Please don't hurt yourself.[2]
[2] If my family ever finds out about that image I'll be disowned.[3]
[3] I had to explain the difference between Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon and Eternal Sailor moon today to Positron.

Thank you for taking the time to enhance an already fantastic application. There's already a fair number of folks at the studio who use your app, and this upgrade only makes it better.

Using the game to update your info and purchase points is as safe as doing it from the website. In fact, it's also more reliable for now. It's a known system with fixed parameters. This is not a plot to force everyone to flee from web browsers, but it is an option that you should feel comfortable using for now.
I do understand that there are still those of you having difficulties logging in through the website, I'm actually one of those. The reality is at that this is an ongoing initiative and resolving it quickly is not likely.
The folks in Customer Service also cannot do much more than they have been able to do so far, so please don't be too hard on them. -
Quote:Can you try accessing account management through the in-game browser, accessible via the Paragon Market?its leaving me with an error message that it cant establish a secure connection on all Safari, fire fox, and google Chrome. Ive tried resetting the router at me house, clearing cookies, cache w/e and its still not working. IVe posted to CoHs FB and twitter that its giving an error.
any suggestions to getting it to work? -
As a temporary workaround, please try using the in-game interface (via the Paragon Market) to manage your Master Account.

I am happy to announce that the planning for the announcement for the announcement for Issue 24 is coming soon™.
Edit: Fixed BP's non official "™" - Z -
I would recommend frequenting the suggestions forum for ideas such as this.
Sending out a reminder e-mail is a great idea. We do understand that this could help customers who aren't on a reoccurring billing plan, or may have strict finances.
This isn't something we would be able to implement in the near future, but it is something we would like to be able to offer our players.
If we have any additional news on this requested feature, we will certainly update the community. -
Quote:It seems there are two Coralaxes. Corali? Coralines? One of you is mistaken then! TIME FOR A FLOGGING!
(Just kidding.) The Coralax hybrid I received from last year's Facebook giveaway is red, not green, and has a leafy head, not a dread-like bone structure. Black Pebble, if I buy this and it's the red minion I already have, will you "exchange" it for the Freakshow boss? If you say yes, in return I'll come back to this thread and let you know exactly which Coralax Hybrid you're selling and if it's different from last year's Facebook giveaway.
The one from the Paragon Market this week is this minion.

The one from the Community giveaways should be this boss:

The one in the store this week is the same as the one given away through Community promotions.

The latter is correct. Being able to purchase the 5 slot twice is not a bug. It should get you 10 slots total overall. If that's NOT happening, then that is a bug.
