    May 9th Update!

    [ QUOTE ]
It's not red, it's orange. I'm not sure how it would look to someone who is colorblind, though.

And yeah, it should be added to the patch notes under Inventions:

Added color-coding to Invention salvage and recipe drop notifications:

    • white = common salvage/recipe
    • yellow = uncommon salvage/recipe
    • orange = rare salvage/recipe

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is really no difference in this game between Red and Orange (this from a color-deficient person). So without something to compare too (and even then sometimes) they look the same

    Elec Ancillary pool: EMP Pulse
    and
    Super Strength: Knockout blow
    are disorients, not holds.

Additionally, Disruption arrow is only a -res, unless they changed the power to add a small hold component

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually Super Strength Knockout Blow is a HOLD it takes Hold enhancements.
  3. I for one am glad to have players like Foo, EvilGeko, Arcana, Circus etc here. They provide good information to other players, bring information/bugs to the dev's attention that need to be brought etc.

Between them, the Devs, etc I always find the CoH/CoV gets better each time. Plus the information provide is always better, and makes it easier to understand why things are happening that happen.

Thanks again for the information - and keep up the good work Arcana.
  4. Thanks again Altoholic, I'm adding this pic to the original that was done that gave you some basic of what the color scheme was

This does make life easier for the color blind.

When asking a "why can't" question, I would first ask a "why would heroes and villains..." question. Why would heroes and villains form a permanent coalition?

    [/ QUOTE ]
For me, it's not a matter of the coalition, but the cross base access it provides. It allows for "safe" interactions between heroes and villains in associated groups (contrary to what the PvP zones would have you believe, comic heroes and villains rarely just charge at each other yelling). Raids are less than ideal for this because of the raid mechanic limitations (like the time limit), and Pocket D (while I love it, mucho thanks to the devs) is by nature an exceedingly public area which means a particularly important scene between archrivals can be interrupted by a bunch of geniuses from either side deciding they want to pile on.

A better question when restricting options is "what good does restricting this do versus what harm not restricting it does?" Hero/Villain SG coalitions have zero potential for exploits (I've spent quite a while trying to think of one) and they make RP much easier and more enjoyable. I can't think of a single good reason for denying them (not even fluff, since hero groups and villain groups rountinely join together to battle this and that).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I will say that I heard of a group that at one point in the opening weekend was able to form a Coalition between a Villian SG and a Hero SG. However that is no longer possible. Also, I don't think it lasted after they patched it.

Also you can always use Global channel to talk between Villains and Heros, which is how my SG/VG does it, since it appears to be the only way for us to communication (i.e. who is on what, what help is needed, in CoV or CoH, etc). But the Global channel is more of a nicety, no way to really exploit it. However if it wasn't there I would be upset, since it would really cause issues with my VG/SG.
