If I haven't missed this already can someone mail Plight Trawler and Plight's Bane (and Gtell me but I tend to miss em) or just write Plight in one of their replies here with the time and I will find it, I will ask the SG to turn and that usually means 5-20 people at any given time. I'd say for hover to be effective use 3 fly speeds, with another travel power and hover i'd go hover/AS tbh
acro SJ/CJ are essential for PvPers who can KB, you won;t get a look in if you can't resist KB/KD/KU
taking hasten so early may cause end issues although it will compensate for going melee heavy early on with regard to the slow recharge.
id do aid self with 3 heal 1 intred so u can really use it and move, otherwise you have to stick out a lot longer rooted animation
i wouldnt take health, i went hurdle/swift for the movement in both PvP and PvE, with aid self health is not really worth it imo.
careful of your end, without elec primary (lower end cost and chance to recoup end) you may burn out a little faster than elec elec, pop an endred in some ranges to sort this out tho.
LF seems to be pretty pointless in PvP i find, it rarely touches a stalker unless unhidden and then it doesnt do a lot, i have3 acc and tbh dont like how it is, i'd go 1 acc 1 endred for PvE or dro it and pick up another pool or lightning clap for PvP, perma KB and another ranged stun (range i hear you say? PBAoE? It's about 12-15 feet with KB and chance to stun), on test i slotted this 2 acc 3 recred and it works a charm, not that i need it often, but it's nice when needed and it's there when needed with 3 recred.
the DPS you will get from sniper blast with this slotting isnt worth it imo, take another pool or a fast recharge/KB power from your primary.
hope this helps, mainly the elec side (oh and as you have no holds in your primary you may want to get Shocking Grasp, it will make a big difference with bosses and especially once you have Shocking Bolt)

i wouldnt bother with 2 endred in acro, not needed with the elec sets imxp.
SC doesnt need 2 accs, 0 will hit all in PvE and 1 will hit all in PvP until you start to get into def based builds.
Shocking grasp is nice, although 2 ranged holds is far better imo than 1 ranged 1 melee, the dmg of SG isn't better than another hold when you consider the huge damage u already have [img]/uk/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
the armour makes a huge difference in both PvP and PvE, it really does, you can't rely on drain in PvP, although you can use it. add 3 slots of res to it [img]/uk/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

i dont care any more, PB isnt overpowered imo, nor is AS apart from its interrupt. no point nerfing one for the other, although I dont get why it boosts heals, i would rather it did as it boosts heals from empaths etc.

2 accs in all for pp apart from SC, 1 here (by the way you arent an elec blaster if you dont have SC, you are some weird energy blaster without KB and a hold)
recharge is more critical in ur melee than your range imo, depending on the style , but i try to add it to melee pre ranged
def or endred in CJ both work, apparently u get more from a def and i know end isnt an issue with these sets
personally think stimulant is better with 1 slot than aid other with 1 slot, good for bufing ur buffer
with aid self. swift/hurdle will be more use than 1 of them with health
no need for recharge in zapp, u wont be using it often, either drop a slot or endmod
TC is abotu right [img]/uk/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] i slot it this way (or would if it werent for HOs)
dont put endmod in TB, no need really, recred and dmg is all u really ned, if u think u'll be using it without aim or BU then add an acc, i dont use this power
VS i would add only 1 acc (maybe 2 if u need) and 3 dmg, the endmod is nice and i would add it later but not prferentially as other powers need slots more (like 6 slots in ur melees). no point ijn VS with endmod if u dont have SC with at least 1 acc for the -recovery
dont need even 1 endred in CA tbh
1 tohit buf wont let u hit the major def sets, 2 is more ideal per power aim and BU, but see where u can get them in.
slots in your unsuppressed movement powers is nice but again not essential providing u have eough range dmg to not rely on melee too heavily.
not taking SC is a bit silly imo, i would slot it acc 3 endmod 2 recred.
for the sake of pve i would take BL over zapp, aim BU SC BL is enough to kill even level minions iirc.
hope this helps a bit, best way to do it is respec all the powers in different styles then test on pairs of lvl 50 death mages [img]/uk/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] getting at least aim or BU pre 30 will help with Siren's PvP and have aim only but 3 melees, up to u tho, its a tough call for zone pvp and elec.

as i said i tend to fight rated rules, if this wasnt no end starts i would still do it, although im happy to not fight this way usually, the fact i tend to win by at least a few kills prolly means that the edge tac start gives me isnt game making or breaking.
pools are pools, saying a set with a heal should take aid self the nsaying AS is overpowered is like saying to a BS/regen that they shouldnt take stamina cos they have QR. the pools are for all and if people choose to optimise, as botty says, ur welcome to, but it wont be the same for everyone. as we all well know, PvP is often about travel powers and pools, SS is the single most dangerous power to me in most scrapper builds because my strongest powers are melee based. PS is not overpowered, and SC isnt particularly, but i wouldnt say nuke them just incase some1 rolls and elec elec.
i do think that the interrupt of AS is too short, but as i said befroe, castle says its too hard to change it. as botty said, i wouldnt rather fight some1 who has a chance of living than some 1 i can 2 shot and if i miss the second just hit a 3rd and win.
as was said about SS/PB/AS it is incredibly powerful as a combo of powers, but i dont have SS or PB, i have SJ and i am pretty damned difficult to kill as people may tell, but without SS my running isnt up the standards you may have with and my heal is not particularly overpowered, 1 good hit and i have lost that heal straight off

[/ QUOTE ]sure fire does huge dmg off the bat, but it lacks control, IIRC from the days when i tried to play more like a blaster with a few drains I would go in aim BU SC BL and minions would be dead, not only are minions dead but i could 1 shot lts and bosses wouldnt be hurting me 1 bit. in almost every case elec does a very high propertion of the dmg that fire can do, even over time, but has more utility. since the sparks were added to eelc i even think its about as pretty as fire, although not quite : /.
spines regen is nice, although wont outdmg any AoE blaster, in teams it doesnt matter who heal most, its some1 elses job usually, solo about 505 of blaster (imo) have enough utility to not get hurt. end result = blasters and scrappers are fastest soloers pre pet trollers, tehre are just more 'gimpy' blaster combos than scrappers ones.
but play what u want people, thats the name of the game.

2 range in FB allows me only 1 dmg, im thinking i will go this way, but 6th slot wont be for a while yet anyway
shiver is a huge cone, 60 odd feet base and about 110 degree arc, so far ive noticed it has below average/useful accruacy sometimes, i have 1 acc 1 range, vs my FB the range is overkill, but i pan to go 2 acc 1 range 2 recred
IP love it, not got hasten, will if i 'go PvP' but for now i can survive fine
immobs break KD for 1st 5 seconds, tehn its immob+KD according to Keith, as for the -melee of AA im all for melee
ISC with 1 endred and 3 dmg (1 acc) is nice, i tendc to use it early then again later, but not vs 1 mob as i try to play conservatively dmg/end, the aggro isnt too bad i find, although i try to use it post glacier/ice patch, the hang up on the end is gone, the animation is now totally viable imo
i think jack will get 1 acc 3 dmg, if i go PvP then 2 acc 2 dmg 2 hold
i havent actually planned a build, but i have a rough idea, if i do one i'll be sure to post it here

ok i read the last 60 % of this (from where i got mentioned). some points.
ty botty, i rawk, although i have been massacred with many toons even with aid self, the combination of aid self +epic res makes a HUGE difference to pre epic res aid self. in the same way that considering PB+AS is silly, considering epic res+AS is unreasonable, as most blasters dont have epic res... i would say somewhere in the region of 95% of all blasters are not 44+.
RE me being cheeky in duels: duels referred to here were mainly on test, on test i tend not to rate cos it means even less than on live, but on live i almost always rate, duels = rated = tactical start. tht is how i play FWIW.
aid self, imho, does not WAI, that is to say that it has almost no interrupt, i only slot 1 intred and have massacred the majority of toons i've fought, the actual recharge/heal/end cost of AS is pretty reasonable imo in pvp, if someone dares lock me down i can't always heal thru the dmg, and the way i use AS means that if i am constantly pummeled i will burn my end on interrupts VERY fast, a lack of understanding against AS is sometimes a problem, even vs people i think i can't hold, if they have AS i will spam my 1 slotted DoT immob my hold+DoT and my AoE+DoT, negate a power to beat it. same goes formy ice dom, i would mince a /nrg blaster if i could survive an alpha, because slow negates clicks blah blah blah.
AS makes squishies viable in small teams, particularly to those who don;t build team reliant builds. I have plenty of toons which 'dont work' outside of certain team environments, much like empaths, i also have 1 toon which can beat nigh on any enemy he encounters. to change AS's heal/recharge would hurt a lot of PvEers, which leads me to my conclusion.
as i stated earlier, AS is not WAI, becase it heals in situations where it shouldnt i.e. in intense battle, to the point that you can still have 2 recred 3 heal and it will fire off under double DoT (i use this thing in ice rain sheesh), the problem is that the interrupt is short enough to make it viable in intense toe to toe combat, this doesnt match its description tbh, i believe anyone who can control a foe or mob should be able to use this power, anyone who cant get a good few seconds clear should suffer without a self heal. that said, 1) castle said it too hard to recode and would displease people so they wont and 2) it makes my squishy viable so i dont want it nerfing. i still cant beat a good scrapper, and thats right imo.
re th click heals vs AS: any1 who cries that AS is as powerful as click heals is sooo wrong its not funny, my PB has aaid other and self and theya re so much more viable as powers than the equivalent pool powers that my blaster has, being able to move and heal is critical when u are about to die, AS needs a lot more aareness and gives a lot less in tight situations. nerf this power and we will go back to Pre PvP where pretty much no1 uses it because any other power pick would be better imo.

Hey there, just thought I'd swing by, my ice ice dom has come into his own in the 30s and I'm really enjoying a build that i could brely solo before, now hes on the 3rd setting.
my best tips would be:
*dont slot any slows
*slot your hold and particularly your AoE holds early
*go for melee dmg and control over ranged dmg, but dont neglect range as ice cones require positional play
*slot some range in frost breath, it gets crazy with an SO or 2
i've found that CE isnt too bad on my end (i have no stamina or hasten at 34 btw), although i have 2 endred in it, AA is hurting though, i plan to add a 3rd and reading this thread im interested to hear about confuse%/tick and dur/confuse, comments pls?
all my attacks have 1 endred, including block of ice, i have neglected the AoE imob to only 1 acc and not taken chillblain as i dont seeany need to. I have acc range recred dmg enred in FB (need it about this often as it a main dmg dealer in teams of 2+, and even solo), in shiver i have acc and range and its range is about 130-150% of my FB i think, 3 slotted ice patch is almost perma, this was one of my earliest aims and works well. AoE immob kills my end totally and ISC is hard on it but worth it, i tend not to use ICS or FB on less than 2 targets. i have jack with 1 acc 1 dmg atm, no plans to add hold as im tight on slots, but i will add anoher dmg (as anyone who has played a no stamina build will tell u, more powers = less slots per decent power).
from here i want to work on my confuse if its worth it, im also considering slotting the sleep, personally i hate sleep, but in small tight teams it can save lives, and its recharge isnt as harsh as the hold.
i pretty much perma hover until all is held, using PB im nippy enough to get out, shiver, FB, get in and melee again, although im considering swapping from hover/fly/tp foe to tp/tp foe/hover, i'd like to fit in recall friend and definately AS for PvP/awkward flying mobs, hasten obviously will make the toon more viable, but atm im enjoying a casual build built on good sense and a bit of fun.
any comments on what im doing wrong would be nice. o and im thinking power sink at 44, i can build domination afst without end issues if not using my CE/AA toggles, once i hit PS i dont see much need for stamina.
