(You essentially lose 100% of base damage for about 10 seconds out of every 40, so your DPS will be about 25% of base less than people with Build UP, this is wothout really crunching the numbers though)

Right then! To get all our lazy bums into gear for PvP we are going to attempt a friendly raid (badges weren't an issue last time but do have an up to date copy of your badges on test). It's the hero SG vs the villain VG so you will have to pick which side to be on, although I suggest you post early as we can't all be on the same side! If you don;t post I guess you will be expected to make up whatever we need at the time. I would like to avoid using the 50s from the SG due to uberness of them vs the villains, so if you can use something between 20 and 40 that'd be ideal, although if you are stuck with the option of 10 or 50 go with 50. As usual, at the end of the day it's up to the individual, I'm just trying to smooth things along.

This is alse an excuse for us to get together as an SG, as it's Plight's 2nd birthday on the day after (I won't be about), so we can [censored] about a bit and maybe do a TF too, or mash a PvP zone up if any1 is on, maybe even raid another SG's base!?

Anyways, try and have TS ready for weds, I'm thinking ooooo 8 pm UK time, god knows what the KotH team is doing, but if they keep moving it i really cba to mess us about.

P.S. Villains make sure u enter a base portal near a hosp (I think in Sharkhead it is next to it), this means when u are pwned you won;t have miles to run!

P.P.S. If every would rather we can do it in the VG base, although the nice openness of the hero tp room can be fun i think.

P.P.P.S. When the raid offer is sent you will need to click SG > raid > join, anyone/toon that does not join in the 1st 5 minutes will not be able to join/swap.

Of course, hardcore PvP builds will likely have both in there, but it's entirely up to you. I have a PvE / PvP mix build and I wouldn't change much in it at all, and if you get placated, or phase shifted on during those 5 seconds you have those buffs, well, you're a bit screwed anyway

With regard to PvP builds, dropping either of these powers due to the chance that someone may placate you or phase you as you use them is pretty silly IMO, to not have these powers means you won't succeed in PvP not only when placated or phased, but generally.

Make it sunday as you said originally, many many poeple with regular jobs and part time jobs work saturdays, not so many work sundays afaik, wednesday, well people can't all make it til late, and the ones that can dont want to be up late. Sunday was going well til it got moved afaik :/.

Best advice as Xan said, pick a day and a time, tell people when it is, ask for confirmation, if they cant make it, get new teams in.

i have this same issue, my housemates laptop shows me the base items as they should be but i get no details even if i replace them.

the holograms i have to hit in the right light from below to see them which i dont think is right either.

also, the metal plating on the walls of our VG base (no idea which part, MCX placed them) appears all gun metal grey to me, but on my friends machine is red after the lighting in the base :/.

I have no problems seeing details on floor tiles

if you go from basic plot to 1.1Mp plot then to 3.3Mp plot i believe it costs a total of 4.4Mp, if you go from 1.1 > free > 3.3 do you save 1.1 Mp? i don't think this is very fair : /

King of the hill is now looking more like 8:30 pm on wednesday 12/7/06 (July Keith, not December).

what the others said is pretty spot on. At 14 you wont really see the inherent secondaries playing a massive part in your play (any mor than the other secondaries).

For all intents and purposes fire gets no control, the slows and drains that it gets are negligable and the combo is all amount high damage followed by DoT.

As for melee being a bad idea and ice seeming to have great control, melee, as Sin said, is all about the risk you take, for elec blasters this risk is somewhere between 0 and 0.1 on a scale of 1 - 100, but for fire blasters its probably more like 80-90 out of 100. Ice has good crowd control but elec is the PBAoE controller. nrg has stuns and self buffs galore.

i hate to be a pescimist, but my advice is usually to avoid fire blasters unless u really want the concept, they are pretty much second to the other sets imo, although people furiously claim it can be great. so play away and let us know how it goes
