What's so enjoyable? My boyfriend and I primarily duo, and he doesn't like to team up with others
. This is my chance to team up with different people, which I really enjoy
He's been alseep for a little bit, and in that time I had two different Rikti team. Definitely win/win

Hi All! I have a level 41 Energy Aura/Energy Melee brute (please, no jokes, I really like her
) who is planning on doing a respec at level 42. I have taken Ghost Widow as my patron and a slew of powers from both sets.
I am asking this wonderful community to help me make my brute more survivable. I realize my powers don't lead to the most "smashtastic" combo, but this is my highest villian and I would really like to get her to level 50.
What can I do? I am looking to beef up my defense/resistance via invention set enhancements and maybe even tough and weave (which I currently don't have). I really want to keep Air Superiority, Fly, Swift, Health & Stamina.
I don't have unlimited funds, but I could save up or craft as I find things. I have about 150 million infamy right now and don't mind being patient on the market/cashing in merits/rolling AE tickets.
My brute is a lot of fun to me since I come from a long line of controllers and blasters. Thank goodness for status protection
! I just want her to be able to survive a bit better. Any slotting or power advice is really appreciated. I guess I'm also looking for specific invention sets that will help these powersets shine to the best of their ability.
All of my shields are 4 slotted (end/3 resistance) and I have all passives 1 slotted. I have plenty of respecs plus dual builds so there is tons of room to play around. I primarily solo, since my boyfriend's villians are all paired with other characters of mine.
Thank you so much, knowledgeable Brute community! I appreciate any help you have to offer

A gazillion thanks to BillZBubba for this great info (and also to the kind folks in Player Questions who linked me to this thread)
I really think this should be stickied somewhere.

As a side note, I was also one of those folks who ran into the installer appending the installation location with "\city of heroes" (i.e. I selected c:\games\city of heroes" and it'd try to do a fresh install to "c:\games\city of heroes\city of heroes"). It took me a little while to figure out why the heck it was popping into a full install! I didn't realize at first that installer was adding in "\city of heroes" to the installation location until I read some of the responses in this thread and looked at my installation path more closely. Once I realized what it was doing, I just selected "c:\games" as my location instead (so the game would install to "c:\games\city of heroes" instead of "c:\games\city of heroes\city of heroes") and it worked like a charm!

Those were really cute, thanks Hertz! The theme music to Atlas Park gets me every time; makes me feel all warm and tingley
