Midnight Dodger What Dodges at Midnight guide
Enjoy! -
Don't forget, if you're having troubles locating the location, use the Interactive Maps over at Vidiotmaps and select Boomtown, you can click on the badge marker you are having troubles with and a small popup will open showing you a screenshot of it exact location. This may help you locate the badge a little easier.

Quote:Yeah, somehow the file got corrupted after uploading it, I didn;t realize it until someone pointed it out to me, but the error has ben corrected.Yup, site is back, downloaded, but I'm getting a message that the file is corrupt when I try to run it. Any idea how to fix it?
-
Sorry bout this guys, we seem to be having a dns issue, its being workied on now. It should be up soonish.
-
-
Maybe the devs have turned off PvP rewards like they did a while back until they could fix the PvP recipe farming. They may be doing the same thing here as well. Not sure though, just my guess.
-
-
Yeah, it looks like all the PvP recipes on the market were bought up, I wonder who that was
-
Yeah, I was in Bloody Bay testing my exemp set bonuses and playing around when I noticed this, I then went to RV and the same results, nothing but rep.
-
Has anyone else notice that the PvP rewards have been turned off or not working correctly?
I did a respec and went to do some testing with a SG buddy and noticed I'm not getting inspirations or salvage, influence, or prestige. I would assume the PvP Recip3es are not awarding either, but no real way to find that out.
I hope this will be corrected. -
Quote:Sorry but this is a feature I can't disable, its part of the security feature of the site.I don't suppose you could make it available without having to register with the site? It's a superb addon but it's a bit annoying having to go through a registration process for a site that I will rarely visit. Not a massive inconvenience I know but it adds yet another registration to keep track of and even more emails to fill my inbox.

We are Immortal
above all others we are
We are Badge Hunters -
yes, we are in the process of doing all of that now. Just working our way around the site getting things updated now, so in the next day or so, we should have them done as well.

Hey everyone, I made a post in a few global channels as well as the Badge-Hunter forums announcing the release of the Issue 19 Update for the Map Pack. So I figured I'd do the here as well.
If you wish to download the Issue 19 Map Pack, please visit the Badge-Hunter site and proceed to the download section.
Issue 19 Map Pack Update
Hope you all enjoy, and please take the time to give thanks to Blondeshell for helping me put this together. He's been a great deal of help with the site and I can't thank him enough

Hey Tony,
Just wanted to apologize to you and the guys if you felt my quote was a little harsh, that wasn't my intention. I was just making the post as simple as possible without going into too much details on which you and I spoke about. This was an an option presented to me, and as you said in your most recent post...
Quote:This was my main reason why I didn't want to take the offer of phasing out Badge-Hunter and merging with the TN. You know from the past I wanted to when the other admin staff left me with Badge-Hunter. At that time I was ready, but since then, I've spent a great deal of my time and money on the site and I'm not currently looking to part with it. So I hope you and everyone else can understand that.I don't blame him for wanting to keep the sites, he has put a lot of time, effort, and money into developing them, and I agree that they have their own flavor.
But, I do look forward to working with you guys here on out. I think there is a great deal we can learn from each other to better ourselves for the community. -
Quote:That is exactly what I plan to doWhile it might be nice to have one program that "does it all" I don't think it's something you need to be worried about producing anytime soon, if ever. Hero Stats is relatively complicated, already exists and does what it does (which is mostly non-badge stuff) fairly well. No need to do a lot of extra work just to copy all that non-badge functionality.
At this point all we need is a simple tool to do badge verification for Badge-Hunter. If you can copy that basic function from what Titan Sentinel provides that's good enough. Worry about extra "bells and whistles" later on if you ever get the time for it. -
Quote:I personally use Mid's on a daily basis. It's almost as if it's part of my gameplay. So I have no doubt they'll find a correction for this issue, if they haven't already. Either way, I planned on making all new builds anyway. I just hope they have the Incarnate system built into it as well! I look forward to their new build of Mid'sLike Kheldarn I only touch Mids/Wiki from Titan and I wonder about Mids given the recent flip-flop on i19-compatibility; I for one wouldn't want to change all my alt builds before loading into i19 mids.
Quote:I'm sad that I'm going to need two programs (HS for ingame info) and your tracker for badge-hunting (I no longer bother with Titan tracking and have deleted my character's info there). Hopefully you'll expand your badge tracking into a HeroStats-type program that means that won't be necessary either. -
I wanted to chime in here and let everyone know Ive acquired a developer for the tracker program for Badge-Hunter. I do thank everyone for their PMs and emails in regards to this thread. If not for this thread Id still be looking.
My negotiations with the Titan Network havent panned out the way Id hoped. The programmer of the Titan Sentinel couldnt justify integrating Badge-Hunter into the program like I had planned out. Which wouldve been great considering the members of both websites wouldnt have had to use multiple programs to use both sites. I was presented with another option, which was to close down Badge-Hunter and merge Vidiotmaps into the Titan Network, but that wasnt an option I was looking to venture into at this time. But I do appreciate the offer!
However, the developer over at the Titan Network, who created the Titan Sentinel have said theyd gladly give my developer all the information needed to create and maintain a tracker for Badge-Hunter. So Id like to thank the guys over at the Titan Network for their interest in helping the community and myself with this issue. Ill keep everyone posted on the update of the tracker program as progress unfolds.
Thanks for your time and help,

Thanks guys, when I sent the inquires to you guys and never heard a response I didn't want to press the issue. So I never followed up on second email.
I do look forward to being a part of the program. I understand there are bugs, which are to be expected with a new program such as this. But I'm a patient person, so I'm very willing to wait for the bugs to be ironed out before being integrated. I just hope Skip can wait until then before removing the website integration from Hero Stats.
But I do look forward to working out the details to get this ball rolling when the time comes.

Quote:I tried to avoid this, but haven't received a response to my inquires. So I'm pretty much left with no choice but to venture into a seperate program. I'd love to use just one program as I use both sites myself. But it doesn't look like it will turn out that way. SorryAs someone that uses both sites (both sites go down occasionally and it is rare for both to do so at the same time), I really don't want to have to use two programs to keep both sites up to date.
Edit:
I've never looked deeply into doing program memory scans or C#, so I'd be a bit out of my depth. -

That has nothing to do with badge-hunter. That is their own personal application for their site. I need one for badge-hunter as well. -
Hello everyone,
As some of you may know Skip over at Hero Stats has made an announcement in regards to the future of Hero Stats and it's website integration. if not you may read his blog relating this this post.
I wanted to thank Skip for all of his hard work in working with the sites to help the community in communicating with the badge sites allowing us to track our badges. I know it must've been a pain to keep up with all of the updating to keep us sites going. So thanks again for all of your hard work.
Now with the removal of the website integration, I'm now looking for a developer who is willing to jump aboard and continue to help the community by building a tracker program similar to that of Hero Stats or the newly released Titan Tracker. So if anyone out there has the ability and time to help with this project, I would appreciate if you would take the time to message me either here on the CoH Forums or contact me via the badge-hunter forums.
I would've done this much earilier, but I actually enjoyed using Hero Stats allowing us to link each site as a community, so I never wanted to step on anyone's toes by creating our own tracker. But the time has come where I need to. So please contact me if anyone is willing to lend a hand.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Quote:Wow you really have it in for me huh. If I notice a error somewhere I always report it no matter the degree in which the error may be.Honestly, I think the case is more about Beef_cake not having to "correct" what he's already done, but looking for the devs to fix it on their end so he doesn't have to backtrack his own work.
For me, this isn't important because is affects gameplay 0%. No matter how you look at it, you are getting awarded a badge for completing a task. The image files correctly match the TF reward. The filenames, as Beef noted, are different. Once again, that affects the gameplay 0% as you are not being cheated out of anything. As every badge has been earned and verified, in Beta, no one is missing out on anything.
And I'm FAR from being an "average player" but this is a non-issue to me, once again, because it doesn't change the gameplay in any way. And... if the gameplay is the actual thing that's important (ie. no badges if the game is broken), then I'd rather see the Devs spend time on keeping the gameplay working rather than have to backtrack their own work JUST to keep Beef_Cake happy.
And let's not forget... this wouldn't be an issue if Beef_Cake didn't make it one. No one else put any thought or cared to make this point, most likely, because it really is a non-issue... or they didn't pigg dive.
God forbid I would have to waste 2 seconds of my life to change badge art on any badge on the site, that's not the point at all. -
These badges are active and awarding to people, I highly doubt this falls under that situation.
-
Quote:Yes, it is important. An Error is an Error, I don't care how you look at it.Seriously, does it matter what badge is given with what name attached? I mean, playng through the arcs, the images match correctly to each TF. Like BT said, the Battle Maiden spear image goes with the TF that Battle Maiden is in. The Neuron and Portal go with the Tin Mage TF.
It just seems people carry on over useless info and just either want to waste more time by having a dev rename or address something in the game files. (And yes, reading game files is still considered a no-no, especially when you're telling people in public "well, the game files say differently." "Permission" or not, you're not supposed to discuss the files within the game that you can access/read outside of the game.)
In other words: is it really all that important? Really? I don't see anyone making a stink over the ToT Costume badge names that they weren't renamed from the badges that they never even used in game.
