    Rikti drop tech stuff right?

Please consider changing this to magical..

[/ QUOTE ]Something needs to be done, the last thing we need at this point is more worthless tech salvage, we can get this on any freak farm or tv farm. From here on out devs you need to make at least 1 magic faction for every tech you add in a level range or it is going to be some severe imbalances on the market.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A good start would be to make all the magical foes actually drop arcane salvage. Getting tech salvage from a Legacy Chain is just plain wrong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A better start is for people to stop farming and just PTFG.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And where anywhere in that person's post did it say that they were farming for salvage, instead of just, as you so wonderfully put it, playing the game?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Check out the bolded text above, sweet stuff.

Please tell me villains are going to get more Strike forces in the level ranges they are missing in issue 10? If not this is more towards giving heroes more content than filling in any gaps villains have. I just hope this is just the first part of the issue 10 goodies.

I'm sorry, the "Dead-Horse Whine" Forum is thataway...

  4. *The above threadjacking is a classic example of what Protector does best. No small, furry woodland animals were harmed in the making of this threadjack*

We now return you to your regularly scheduled "serious topic".

If we really have cliques, can someone tell me which one I'm in? I need to know who to hate...

A good example of selective moderation, is a thread on one of the other boards where someone offered a bounty on another player... it's been there the whole time I've been participating in the boards.

    A comment on this:

Yes, that post should have been removed immediately, and for whatever reason, it wasn't. It quickly turned into a mockfest full of tangents, surrealism, Smurfs, Klingon language lessons and general observations. Recently, it was moved to the Games section, where it is now approaching 400 pages of weirdness.

So yes, this should have been modded from the get go, but it has now involved into a sentient life-force...will you now deny it the right to live on?

    Back on topic:

Protector is sweetness and light compared to other server forums I frequent. We respect each other, and enjoy our time together. We, in my opinion, police ourselves just fine.

    Finally...I like pie.
  7. Less them, more ME!

    Seriously though...great bathroom reading.

This is an overhead view of the Infinity Legion base on Freedom (hero) as of 5-24-07. I think I am done with expanding the plot. We are currently on the 20x20, and I think I have all the ideas I really wanted represented.

The idea of taking screenies of every room frightened me, so I apologize. If anyone wants a tour, I am happy to give one (global is @Dr. Feedback). Our base is usually part of the "Cross-server Base Tour" that Robo-Knight puts on about once every 6 weeks or so. Anyway, happy designing everyone!

Considering the sheer scale of this screw up maybe adding a single day of gameplay for free to every CoH player's account would make up at least a small bit, sorta gives them the gaming time back even if they don't get the goods and inf they lost back...

A wall of whining follows, as usual.

I had some goodies involved in this, and some bids also. I shrug my shoulders, and went and whupped on some CoT and Rikti for awhile. Y'know...I PTFG!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ummm... that's what I was doing, and then the FG lost prettt much every unit of influence I'd gained from PTFG through 50 levels. Could it be that the annoyance factor is somehow related to the percentage of overall wealth lost by this f-up? Nah, it must be that I'm a whiner and you're a lofty and courageous spirit who never becomes annoyed at the inconveniences, slights and unfairness of daily life. Congratulations to you on your magnanimosity, but I'm going to continue [censored] for a while.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I whine about the things I can change, and try not to worry about things I have no control over.

Sure, the "inconveniences, slights and unfairness of daily life" get to me every now and then, but THIS isn't life: it's a game.
The moment I let it get to me for more than 30 seconds is the moment I log off, and go and do something else.

Sh*t happens, and life goes on. Ex, Light and the gang will do their best to make things right. If they can't, oh well, guess what? It's just a game. No one died. You aren't out on the street feeding your kids cat food.

If they can make things right, I hope all you righteously indignant complainers come back here and give them a hearty "thanks"...but I have my doubts you will.

  16. Yah, that garden doth rock. Nice work!
  17. Korith's base (and SG) is coalitioned with mine, and I had never seen his base before. Both of ours match up pretty nicely in terms of look and feel.

Here's a video tour of Death Row Villain base on Freedom server. We are a small SVG but we have managed to make a fully functional base. Simple design but we like it.

Simple yet very moody. I felt damp afterwards. The only thing I didn't see was a recreation/meeting room, but if this is a function over form design, you did a great job. Little things I liked were the granite blocks and wooden pillars (?) that blocked corners...nice touch!
  20. Fantastic! You've put into words most of the things I have discovered and done myself in my many 1-person groups. This is really nicely detailed for the first-time base-builder, and it is simple to grasp quickly. The only thing I would add near the beginning is a suggestion to visit the Base Building Forum here for any questions they may have, or to learn more about bases in general.

Another thing I would add is that if they can coalition with a more established SG, they can then access the coalition mates TP's, which means they can put off building their own if they are short on influence or salvage.

    Bring on Part II !!!

Really nice work, Dolly...the lighting in many rooms makes a huge difference. I also like the vet rewards, 1 per desk in the "office" area.

I am SO stealing some of your gorgeous work!
