What's up with Faces itself has been addressed. Also, Turbo asked that his account be removed from Faces a few days before the attack, so you wouldn't find him there, anyway.

Quote:You are correct. The current EULA (updated March 2010) does not directly reference any right to monitor the hardware on your machine. It is worth noting that the updated EULA specifically calls this out under the Privacy clause. In its current form, the EULA only mentions the the privacy policy on the NCsoft website and states:I'm fairly certain there is no wording in the current EULA about allowing them to view anything in your PCs memory or on its storage devices. Setting aside whether or not the EULA can actually grant them that right, I think that section is new.
Quote:Our privacy policy, which covers the usage and protection of your personal information, is published on the Web Site, currently at http://us.ncsoft.com/en/legal/privacy-policy.html and is incorporated herein by this reference.
I have to wonder: if the indirect reference to the Privacy Policy as it appears in the current EULA had been kept and the Privacy Policy had been modified instead, would anyone have noticed what they were agreeing to had changed?
Edit: Just for kicks, I went over and checked the agreements on the other (not naming names since that's a violation these days) MMO I play. No provisions for monitoring my hardware there. So I find little credibility in "everyone else is doing it" arguments supporting the new clause. -
Congrats!
It's amazing how much baby gargoyles resemble baby humans, isn't it? -
I'm pretty sure that's what he calls it, yes.

The rescue named her Kiska, but I'm going to change it to Laika. She'll share the name with the dog that was sent into space by the Soviets and became the first animal to orbit the Earth.

I'm adopting a puppy this Friday!
She's an 8-week old Siberian husky/German shepherd mix. Poor thing was found abandoned in a trailer with her two brothers and sister about a month ago. She was all pooped out after a very stressful day of watching her littermates being adopted out today when I took the picture. -
Here's something I've discovered over the last couple of nights:
If you right click on a team member's name and hit the 'N' key, this is usually the shortcut for "Add/Edit Note". If, however, you are the team lead and hit the 'N' key, this is also the shortcut for "New League Team". So, if you right-click and hit N, you'll split the targeted character off into a new league team.
And if you happen to be in the middle of a TF when you do that, you've just effectively booted that character from the TF.
Someone needs to change that shortcut key to something that isn't already in use. -
My "Huge" Tanker seems to sound different now when taunting. Instead of the old, low, "Aaaaah" (either MaleTaunt6, MaleTaunt6b, or MaleTaunt13) he now sounds like my Tankers with the "Male" character model (might be MaleTaunt4, MaleTaunt8, or MaleTaunt14).
Intentional? -
It's still in use. Faces got roughly a third of the hits that Paragon Wiki had last month, and I know people upload new pictures pretty regularly. (I'm told it something like 5-15 pictures each day. Pretty modest, but steady.)

It might be that you haven't seen a lot of people just running around lately because the current Weekly Strike Target is a level 50 Task Force.
I would suggest joining some global channels. You might start by entering the following commands in your chat window:
/chan_join "Triumph Watch 2.0"
/chan_join "Triumph Watch 2.1"
Both channels are - for the most part - there to help form teams for Task Forces, earning badges, hunting giant monsters, starting raids, etc. Historically, 2.0 is more heavily moderated and 2.1 generally has more "off-topic" traffic. -

Congrats to those of you who earned your new badges. Always happy to help out.
