Ebil-o is pleased this week...who knows what evil plan he has in "mind" these days. I hear he hasn't sacrificed anything for the past 2 weeks. I'd be scared if I were you.

Obviously since he's been making this mission a whole lot more difficult lately, this might be why he is so content. Today's word search might be your last chance to save the world as we know it...unless you like pretty fireworks and explosions like me.

Your opportunity to save us all is through a word block located at the bottom of this post.

The goal is to be the first one to find the words based on the theme (without being told what they are), circle them in the word block (using Paint or an equivalent program) and then list them below it.

If you are the first one to answer with the correct words, you win and only then will we be able to input the words into Ebil-o's matrix, thus delaying our impending doom. As a token of our gratitude, we'll give you the "Ebil-o FTL [date]" forum title as well as 1 (one) costume code amongst the following ones:

This week, you are looking to find 10 powers from the Power pools. Please note, some of the words you are searching are only part of the name of the corresponding power if its name contains 2 or more terms. In those cases, only one of the terms will be available.

Example: For instance, "Grant" or "Invisibility" from "Grant Invisibility" could have made it into this week's word block (let me however clarify that it has not).

There have been a lot of questions about the City of Heroes® Going Rogue prepurchase program, the Complete Collection and the Item Pack. We’d like to take a moment and try to clarify this for all of you.

There are two different ways to get the City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion: as a separate expansion, or as part of the Complete Collection.

The separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion costs $29.99 (€19.99 / £17.99) and requires you to already have City of Heroes. The separate expansion doesn’t include game time, so you must be an active subscriber to play. The separate expansion does not include the Complete Collection Item Pack. The separate expansion will only be available digitally, and will be available for prepurchase starting in March (see below for more information on what you get from prepurchasing this separate expansion).

The City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection costs $39.99 (€29.99 / £26.99) and includes City of Heroes Going Rogue as well as City of Heroes, City of Villains, 30 days of game time, and the Complete Collection Item Pack. With the game time and previous expansions included, it is ideal for those who are new to City of Heroes franchise (perhaps as a gift!), but also a good value for players not interested in prepurchasing. The Complete Collection will be available both digitally and at retail (in North America) starting in July and cannot be prepurchased (only the separate expansion can be prepurchased).

Starting at launch in July, players who prepurchased or bought just the separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion will be able to upgrade to the Complete Collection. The upgrade will include the Complete Collection Item Pack, but it won’t include any game time.

Prepurchase

Only the separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion will be available for prepurchase. The Complete Collection will not be available for prepurchase, nor are there any incentives for preordering it at retail.

Prepurchasing the separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion will give you early access to the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning power sets. Dual Pistols will be available immediately once the prepurchase program starts in early March. Demon Summoning will become available starting in April. You will get both power sets early if you prepurchase.

Complete Collection Item Pack

For those who prepurchase the separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion, but also want the Complete Collection Item Pack, starting on launch day in July, we will offer an upgrade to the Complete Collection. The artifact that Kadabra Kill managed to get to the safety of the Midnighter Club thanks to Heroes and Villains of Victory and Triumph was only part of a mystical contraption that Kadabra Kill intends to use in order to bargain for the soul of his wife Sigil.

The crazed Death Mage known as the Disciple of Lilitu is however still tracking his every move and is certainly going to try and get hold of the second artifact before it reaches the Midnighter Club in Founders' Falls or Cap au Diable.

Kadabra Kill is expected to attempt this journey at around 4pm Pacific (7pm Eastern) on Friday, 2/19/10 and he will need a little help!

Thanks all for your comments. The aim of this little game was and still is to make it a fun experience for all participants and while I've tried to find a way to address some of the issues raised, it seems there are a few things I cannot fix myself due to how the words and randomised letters are processed by the tool.

I'll make extra efforts for next week's word block and hopefully the measures taken will make it a fun game again.

Zombie Man, I understand your concerns and I apologize for not having had enough time to look into last week's puzzle. If more problems arise next week, I'll take this forum game down and will think of a suitable replacement. The tool I use is extremely simple but I do indeed suspect that something's amiss but I can't be spending my whole time looking through a word block if I want it to be hard enough not to be deciphered in 5 minutes.

My sincerest apologies if I've managed to turn this into a not very fun experience for some of you.

You're right Dark Quill, I'll make sure to clarify that in the rules! I'm already updating them actually. I was tempted to hint at it but it could have been construed as "favouritism".

Also, I need to make sure nobody edits their response after posting their participation, to avoid potential issues.

Damn, this is becoming serious!

For mentioning that Ruin probably was a false positive? She mentioned it at 12:24pm and Graevity posted his participation at 12:29pm though.
