    Facemaker Crash

I run CoH on an Nvidia GeForce 4 MX420, and I have had the same issues as those with the 440 since Issue 17 came out. The game would crash every time I tried to look at the Costume Selection Window, either mine or through the Tailor/Facemaker, view my or someone else's Personal Info, and sometimes when accessing my contacts list(about 10% of the time).

I just hopped on the Training room as per the Television's request and ran my Dominator to the Facemaker in Cap Au Diable. No crashing when I opened my Costume Window from the menu, no crash when I accessed the Facemaker, and no crashing when I tried to view my Contacts list or my Personal Info screen. Couldn't find any other players to check their info, but I did check a few Luddites outside and my game did not crash.

It would indeed appear this has fixed the issue. I was only on The Test Server for a few minutes though to check, and all the things that are guaranteed crashes for me on Live appear to be working fine there.

  2. I have one that I've played all the way to 50 actually. The only powers I skipped were on the Assault Rifle side: Bean Bag, Sniper Rifle, and M30 grenade. It does quite an unsane amount of damage to foes once all the stars align: EMP Arrow, Disruption Arrow, Oil Arrow, Flamethrower...then glue/ice and Ignite anyone that's left. If a group is still left, there's always Full Auto for the whole flaming mess. Solo or against small groups though, I usually lean pretty heavily on Ignites and Ice Arrows. It's the only real fast and high damage attack the combo gets. You can take on huge groups of foes if you don't mind waiting for a minute between spawns for your AoE moves to come back, or if you're on a team, it's like having a big nuke up every two or three spawns. Definately need Hasten for this build...or pretty much any Trick Archer so your two big moves come back fast: EMP and Oil Slick.

Incidentally, my current project is a level 46 Trick Archery/Dual Pistols Defender who is MUCH worse due to the lack of strong single-target damage in the form of Ignite or even potent AoE damage. The only AoE I felt had any power was Hail of Bullets which is a mini-nuke and not up often enough to be called a regular attack. It also requires quite a bit more exposure to danger to use than either Flamethrower or Full Auto.
  3. I'll be the one to say I like my Trick Archery/Assault Rifle Defender. Yeah, I went there. I've never had a problem with redraw. I always throw out the arrow debuffs first, then use the rifle to finish the job. Nothing like lighting an Oil Slick on fire with a Flamethrower. But the real hidden power in the matchup comes from Ignite. Using that on Glue Arrowed foes or Entangling Arrow-ed/Ice Arrowed foes works wonders. Too bad it doesn't come till level 35, but it's WELL worth the wait.

    (Arachnos) Mace

Only found eight, but I was trying to limit myself to words four letters and over...there's a bunch of three letter ones out there that *might* be what we're looking for.
  5. Auralu(50):
    933 Hours on Patrol
    742 times on Patrol

This is also my main badger-ing character, so a lot of that time was just spent hunting the various creatures required for badges(I'm lookin' at you, Illusionists!) or playing in Flashback missions.

The Sun looks like the Oracle's altar in the Imperious task force. Phoebas (Phoebus Apollo) maybe?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I have found The Sun

Close. It's not the Alter, but the archway above the circle there.

Here are all the cards collected together, hacked up with demo editing so it's a uniform background and no players.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That stuff is amazing. Thanks for doing that for us!
  8. And here's the last one:

    The Sun

Can't make out what it is either other than very shiny.
  9. Alright, I got me a screenshot of The Wheel of Fortune, but i still can't tell what it's supposed to be. I can clearly make out the CoH skyline along the bottom, but as for the actual Wheel...*shrug*

    The Wheel of Fortune

Pretty sure The Magician is Numina.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd believe that. Haven't been able to play much yesterday and today, so I've yet to finish my list.
  11. Cardcast Screen

Thought it might be worth it to screenshot the cards that show up when casting. You can see all of them in there...in the upper left is The Dark Watcher, and in the upper right is one I just cast on someone:

The Tower, which looks like Lord Recluse's Headquarters in Grandville.
  12. Didn't realize there was another thread on the subject. Ah well...

At first I always thought it was just a generic "tarot card" type image.

I'll try to update my list as people name 'em.

    Just cast this one somebody:
    The Moon

Seems it is a symbol, but not a generic one. That's the Midnight Squad emblem.
  13. Dunno what anyone's noticed this yet, but the little glowing purple and red card that shows up over a person to show a buff is present is actually one of the City Of Heroes main characters. I noticed it at first when someone gave me The Hermit, and the card was distinctly The Dark Watcher.

I used it on someone and took some caps. This is The Lovers. You know who these kids are.

    Small Lovers

And the large one that appears when the power is cast:

    Large Lovers

You know what that means: List Time!

The Hermit - The Dark Watcher
The Lovers - Sister Psyche and Manticore
    Death - Ghost Widow
    The Fool - Synapse
    The Magician - Numina
The Moon - Midnight Squad Emblem
    The Sun - ?
    Tower - Arachnos HQ
Wheel of Fortune - Orenbagen Arcane Circle?

A very nice little Easter Egg from our favorite people. Awesomesauce with a cherry on top.
  14. I read the "Weapons" Mastermind Primary suggestion in the big list there, and while melee Masterminds are a no-no, I thought I could make it work. Instead of the Mastermind getting melee attacks, why not summon floating weapons to battle for you? Floating swords, knifes, bows, and axes would be awesome. Could be easy to do as well graphically. Just have the henchmen themselves have an entirely invisible graphic except for their weapon. Would look so cool to have a horde of floating weapons around you. For the upgrades on the weapons to show visually, just change the weapon model to a different one, or even just make the colour change.

    Animated Weapons

    1 - Flying Dagger
The basic attack. Just a copy of that darned knife the Snakes throw at you.

The Snakes classic triple dagger toss cone attack.

    12 - Animated Bow
Summons 1-2 Floating Bows to shoot your foes with a variety of arrows.

Upgrade 1: Fistful of Arrows, Glue Arrow
Upgrade 2: Blazing Arrow, Ice Arrow

    18 - Swarm of Daggers
I figured it'd be awesome to summon a horde of flying daggers. A copy of Thugs Gang War Power, just a horde of flying Dual Blades daggers.

    Recharge: Very Long

    26 - Animated Battle Axe
