Seriously though, would love to learn how to tank/run aggro for Hami. I usually end up bringing a blaster or scrapper. So I'm not sure if my IO'd SD/Elec tank is up to snuff. Any tips or strategies would be great before I just jump in next Hami raid I get a chance with.
And no, he won't mind that I volunteered him.

Inspired by this month's Tanker Tuesday, we'll be running an Ice themed ITF this Sunday (8/15). The requirements are either your primary or secondary power set has to be Ice, and you have to have access to Cimerora. We'll gather at Imperious at 3pm EST.

I want to thank everyone who put in the effort to make this raid run so smoothly, especially Brax, Warboss, and Q who helped make everything run so smoothly.
It was really fun, and I'm looking forward to doing it again. -
You didn't misunderstand, Q. I guess I didn't explain my concern clearly.
Again, I understand what you're saying and don't disagree with it. My concern is if we should do this on our first 3 round Hami, or wait until next time. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, you know? After we get the confidence that we can do it, it won't be such a big deal.
Does that make more sense? -

I mentioned this before, but if you want this to be a warmup for no retreat, I would have them get the practice of getting back to a mito before the bloom and the practice calling it. That is one of the, if not the, most important part, and pretty much everyone needs practice with the orientation and timing if nothing else.
I think what it's going to come down to is seeing what Yellow Aggro looks like tonight. If we have mostly veteran Tankers, I'll probably have Warboss get them into position. If we have new Tankers, I probably won't. -

Yeah, if it's Blues then, I wouldn't recommend a Blue team either, just for those reasons - we want most of our best DPSers on Hami for sure. I'm thinking more a couple of people specifically appointed by the raid leaders to go poke Blues.

The worst that can happen is that we'll need to retreat and do the bloom round as usual.

I have been talking to Brax and Warboss about this for a while now, and I think the time has come to give it a try.
On Monday (8/9), we'll be trying a little bit different strategy with the Hami raid. When Hami gets down to 25% health, instead of teleporting out, eveyrone will use an EoE, buff up (possibly use a bio nuke even), and continue beating on Hami while ignoring the mitos.
This is going to require everyone to have at least one EoE on them. It's also going to mean grouping up close while fighting, watching for the call, and having good buffs and debuffs. Having a lot of -regen on Hami himself will help immensely. I will also need experienced team leaders to help out with this, so if you're interested, let me know.
The reason for doing this is multi-fold. For one, it's always frustrated me to run when Hami has so little health left. For two, it'll make things simply go faster. And for three, I'm hoping this helps us get back into the habit of running no-retreat raids (which are my personal favorite). Maybe we can even get to the point where we do three round, no-retreat raids. That would be great.

While I'll admit that I didn't see what happened last night, I don't understand how harassing and verbally assaulting someone is considered "adult" behavior. JFA has always been flexible with allowed topics and language, and that has not changed. The guidelines posted a few months ago are how we had (or should have been) modding all along. We just posted them so that there was no confusion about what is expected of you as a member of the channel.
All player-created content, even private channels, are subject to the EULA and player Code of Conduct. If you want a channel where you can harrass and verbally assault people, the by all means create it. Just don't be surprised if it's not too popular, or if there are reprecussions. -
