Well, another FNF has come and gone. While the turnout was a little light, it was fun nonetheless. Early on it was myself on my fire/kin and Arbiter with two of his toons: Ophir and Arbiter Morrison. Finally, near the end, Pepsi came along with his tank, Idol (I can't remember the full name, sorry Pepsi).

We ran the following:

Very Long (4 missions)

The first mission ended up be an Lt. Farm, but after that, the rest of the missions were pretty good, albeit long. Ran into some high level snakes, and a bunch of EB's. Overall, the arc was good.

Well, glad everyone that was able to show up did and it was a good time.
Next Friday, Knight Chill should be back to run these FNF's.

Awesome. I have been to Disney twice. Once when I was a wee lad and then me and the misses went last year. Had a nice time and hopefully we can do it again in a couple of years. I want to save for a Carnival Cruise for us next year, and 2011 can be Disney.

I hope you all enjoy yourselves in Disney and that your little one enjoys the magic that is Disney. =)

FNF is on for this Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10PM EST at the Independence Port AE building. Last week, I went through the six arcs that I thought best suited the theme I wanted to with, "Gods".

I played all six to see whether they would be good choices and I selected two of the six, and a third (and there are two choices, in case we finish the first two quickly).

These will be the arcs we will be running on Friday:

The two other arcs, in case we finish soon can be either:

Short (1 mission) - I think this arc is way too easy.

The Valkyrie and the Fury

Medium (2 missions) - This one, at least solo was too hard for my blaster.

So, there we have it. I will be bringing either my fire/kin/fire controller (Thermakinesis) or my dark/dark/dark defender (Quantum Gloom) to the party. I think my main will be taking a much needed break from playing time in the near future so that I can focus on bringing up some 50's to join him.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday. The following Friday, Knight should be back and returning to host these fun evenings.

Well, Double XP weekend turned out pretty well after all.

While I only still have one 50 to speak of, I worked some toons up into the 40's and now I have a 46, 45 and 41. Hopefully, I can ding 50 #2 before the end of the year. =)

Started on Friday at work with some of my lowbies, then the evening time ended short when I had to go pick up my brother in-law at work, so the FNF I had scheduled I had to cancel last minute.

Saturday was AE for most of the morning and an ITF that ended up short at the end.

Sunday was a Sara Moore that was longer than usual, but we all got through it in the end and took down the AV pretty well. Lots of bumps and bruises for my fire/kin in that TF.
After Sara Moore, took a break then came back on to run some other missions and finally an AV run with Draconis and his gang, with a dinner break of sushi for me and the misses.

So, here are the results:

So....needless to say, I am not going to be able to run this as I expected to.

Problem fixed apparently, I am able to log in my toon. Thank goodness, I really did not want to bring out that lawn chair out from storage. =)

Well, I will try again. Problem being that all of my toons are logged off in Atlas Park. So, if I can't get into Atlas, I guess I will make me some iced tea and sit a spell and watch the day go by. =)

Same problem in Miami, FL. Our provider is AT&T.
Tried three times to log in, and to no avail.
Hopefully this can get fixed, because as of tomorrow we will have no forums until Friday (72 hours, according to the post I read earlier today).

Well then, since Knight is AFK due to work and vacation. I guess I will run these. I also am tied up for tonight, my friend (who introduced me to the game), is in town. He is in the military (Army) and we have had little time to get together and hang out like the good 'ole days.

So, Friday Night Flights (Backup Edition) will be running on Friday, July 31st at 10:00PM EST at the AE in Independence Port. I will also do my best to make "theme" nights, as Knight as has done in the past. I will review the AE missions and post the "theme" sometime next week.

All 8 of our heroes showed up, however Sailboat had rubberbanding issues and had to reset his router. I am sorry we could not wait longer Sailboat.

We were able to acquire a 8th, thanks to Dayna Might. Wolfpack Watchdog filled in admirably for Sailboat.

Don't really do the theater anymore. There was a time where a night at the movies, was somewhat affordable, now...it's downright insane. In some parts of the country, the price of a ticket is over $10 per person. Factor in concessions, etc. a night at the movies comes in at almost $30-$40.

For that, I'll watch it when it is released on DVD/Blu-Ray on my big screen TV with all the popcorn, candy and drinks we want =)

Hope you all enjoy the movie. If it's anything like the first, it will do well at the box office. Dare we say, Transformers 3 - Return of the Autobots =)

I had to take a step back from the Shadow Shard TF runs I was setting up on the server earlier this year and I wanted to apologize for that. Life has been a bit harder than I anticipated and it has taken away alot of the time, energy and overall enthusiasm to play CoH/CoV. Now, I won't go into details, because this post is not intended for a woe is me rant.

However, I am going to try to put together at least 2 runs in the Shard a month until I can get back to a weekly routine for the Guardian server. As such, I will be posting either today or tomorrow a Shard TF for Sunday the 28th of June (only hiccup would be more house hunting, but we have usually done it on Saturday instead of Sunday). It will be in the AM EST, probably 8 to 9AM. The following Shard TF will be an evening affair (for the West Coast folks).

Eventually, once I am back on a weekly schedule, I will alternate the times/task forces so that everyone regardless of geographic location can participate and for some get those badges that have long eluded many a hero.

I have made many wonderful friends and acquaintances in the CoH world and I hope that I will make many more in the years to come. From someone who begrudgingly signed up to play CoH and now after almost 5 years, it has been a fantastic experience and I am looking forward to many more years of play.
