  1. resistance is futile. You will be assimilated and your back-stories and role playing distinctiveness will be added to our own.
  2. yeah in my particular case some guy was looking for people to team up within my level range, I asked if they needed a tank, and he said sure.

next thing I know we're in AE facing AV's and I'm like, WTF I cant tank these.
  3. Healer is an appropriate term though..

It roughly translates into, we've got a bunch of dps/tanks who's healing is reliant more on inspirations than actual abilities. we need someone who can cover healing when nessecery.

Some people take this to the extreme and say you are supposed to do nothing but healing, but the way I see it. If we are all standing after the mob of critters kisses the floor, I dont mind if you are slinging in attacks.

I just wish people would be a little more reasonable about expectations of teams. My little level 9 invuln/stone tanker isn't going to be able to handle an archvillian regardless of if I get SK'd up to level 50. I'm sorry I just dont have the tools to handle it.
  4. Hey, I just joined the Virtue Server (this will be my second time playing CoH, previous time was a couple of years ago.)

So far I'm playing Agent Impulse

    Name: Marcus Donavan
    Alias: Agent Impulse
    Age: 22
    Race: Human (mutant)
Powers: Agent Impulse has the ability to manipulate energy into bolts, waves, or infuse into his punches. This energy typically sends the target flying. As of right now he can fly (clumsily) but prefer other modes of transport.

Bio: Marcus Donavan (Mark for short) was a student at Paragon University, and had a part time job as a courier for local bussinesses. He basically delivered parcels from bussiness to bussiness. He had some run ins with the Hellions and Skulls but for the most part had been able to avoid capture. This all went south about one week after Marcus came down with a flu-like symptoms. He had returned to the job after a couple days off, but he was a tad sluggish and somewhat irritable. He was accosted on 3 seperate occasions by the various gangs, each resulted in him being roughed up and his package being stolen. On none of these occasions did one of the city's elite super heroes swoop to his aid. Well on the third one a man in flamingo pink tights swooped down to save him, saw the rest of the gang around the corner uttered the words "oh crap" and high tailed it out of there. The gang gave chase and it was what allowed Mark to limp away to safety. This was the final straw, Marcus got into a fight with his boss about routes and safety of the couriers. His boss said he was free to leave. Marcus flipped him the bird and left. He was wandering around Atlas Park trying to figure out what to do next when a hellion appeared out of nowhere behind him. By now Markus was frustrated, angry, and had a lot of pent up rage regarding the local gangs. So as the hellion opened with "your money or your life" Marcus spun around and delivered a blow to the mans stomach. Marcus had taken some self defense courses the blow was meant to wind the man. Instead was it did was there was a brief flash of blue light followed by the hellion flying away from Marcus towards the center of the park, perfectly demonstrating the dopplar effect. It was later discovered that the hellion plowed into a small group of aspiring heroes where during the process of sorting out the heap he groped one of the female heroes by accident which resulted in an even bigger ruckus. The local authorities would find marcus standing in a daze at the spot where the fight took place. He had the situation explained to him regarding heroing, marcus reluctantly took up the mantle of superhero hoping to further discover how to control his new powers.

Personality: Marcus isn't a coward, but at the same time, he's none to thrilled about being the target of gunfire/energy blast/knife wielding maniacs. He prefers to use strategy and suprise to take down his foes, and running away is an option! its listed under the strategic repositioning of vital assets tab. He is still suffering from the shock of being introduced into the world of superheroes, he's a little more open minded thanks to this which allows him to get on fairly well with other heroes regardless of type.

    Signature Moves:
Hacky Sack of Doom: This move was dubbed as such by one of the people he saved using it. Marcus was looking for a way to incapacitate people without having to hit them with a full force energy blast. He got the idea from riot police when they use bean bags to disperse riots. he bought some hacky sacks from a local toy store, he flicks them with his middle finger. The result often incapacitates the person in the same manner as the Beanbag ability from the assault rifle power set (note this is an rp ability, not an actual ingame ability)

Edit: bah got so busy hashing out the bio I forgot the reason of the post...

I'm interested in a somewhat laid back SG with active friendly members. groups that want to do missions in the game.
