Thanks for the clarification. And yes, I've been eyeing Staff as a primary as well. I suspect what I'll actually end up doing eventually is making two toons, one StJ and the other Staff. One will be SR and the other EA, since both of those secondaries look interesting and I haven't yet played them. Now I just have to decide which secondary to pair with which primary, and whether I want to make either of the toons a Brute instead of a Scrapper.
So many possibilities in this game. Makes me wish I had the kind of time and patience for exploring all the possibilities I had when I was younger. -
Thanks for the responses folks. One quick follow up. A couple of you mentioned EA as a secondary. Is that Electric Armor or Energy Aura?

In the process of wiping out the Knives of Vengeance (several times), I decided that the Street Justice animations look cool. I've also read that the set is supposed to be fun, so I figured I'd roll one and give it a try. Unfortunately none of my friends have actually played it for me to ask questions, so instead I throw myself on the mercy of the collective wisdom of the Scrapper board.
1. Are there any particular secondaries that work well with StJ? I'm considering Super Reflexes for the stereotypical non-super "natural" sort of thing, but that's just a thought. I'd prefer to avoid a set like Dark Armor that's going to obscure the animations, since those are a big part of why I've chosen to give StJ a whirl. I'd also prefer to avoid Willpower and Shield since my two most-played toons use those sets, but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
2. Are there any powers in StJ that are commonly skipped, aside from the always optional but situationally useful Confront? Does the first attack under-perform as it does in so many sets? Any others that kinda stink up the place?
3. Is Hasten required in a leveling build (ie minimal set IOs), or at least a good idea? Does Quickness change that answer if I go with SR for my secondary? Do Luck of the Gambler Global Recharge IOs change the answer for an end-game build?
4. How's the endurance use of Street Justice in general?
Of course if there are any other obvious points I'm missing since it's after midnight and my brain is starting to shut down, feel free to school me. Thanks in advance! -
I've always loved the stealther playstyle in MMOs, and I've tried playing a couple of Stalkers but I haven't been able to stick with them. I've decided to try again, this time with a Kinetic Melee/Ninjutsu. I was trying to put together a leveling build to post here and ask for advice but realized I have enough basic questions that I can't seem to get a coherent build together. So here's my questions. If someone could be kind enough to clue me in I'll finish a sample build for everyone to laugh at, er, I mean comment on.
Looking at Mid's, it appears that KM has an inherent accuracy bonus. Is that correct, and does it mean I can get away with only one Acc in each attack power?
Are all of the first three KM attacks worth taking quickly? In the abortive build attempt I was making I took Quick Strike and Body Blow at 1 and 2, but put off Smashing Blow until 16 in order to get the Ninjutsu defensive toggles and AS/BU/Placate in place. Smart or not?
How is endurance usage with KM? Do I need to be thinking of getting an EndRed into my attacks fairly early, or not? Can I get away with just the one EndMod in inherent Stamina until later in the build, or do I need to get those extra couple of slots into it fairly early?
I was thinking of picking up Ninja Run to use as my travel power. Should I still take Combat Jumping for the extra Def, or is that not enough Def with just the one enhancer to be worth it?
I was thinking of pickup up Caltrops at level 10 and putting a couple of slots into it as a place for a few of those entertaining proc TOs that new toons are now given. Does anyone know if those TOs will actually slot into Caltrops?
What other power pools should I be looking at? I know teams often expect Stalkers to have Recall Friend, and I'm not opposed to that even though I tend to solo more than team. If I take that, I assume it should be quite early. Is Fighting necessary for Tough and Weave, and if so should I be looking at Boxing or Kick as the pre-req? What about Hasten? I was surprised when I looked at some builds here on the forums and saw that Hasten was taken either very late or not at all. Is it just not needed for KM, or was that just a function of the builds I was looking at being end-game respec builds with lots of recharge from sets rather than leveling builds?
Speaking of IOs, when I think of a leveling build I generally think of a build using mostly just common IOs, but I realize there are certain set IOs that are just too good to pass up. I assume I'm going to want a -KB IO somewhere by the mid levels. (Maybe that's my need for Combat Jumping? I forget offhand where the -KB IOs can be slotted.) Should I also be looking for a spot for the Steadfast Protection global Def IO early? Is there anything else obvious that I'm overlooking?
Thanks in advance to those willing to answer. Sorry if the questions seem silly. I'm going to go ahead and blame it on the codeine and whatever else is in all these meds the doctor has me on right now. ;-) -
Okay, I've put my application in with the specs of three of the Macs I can test on. It will be interesting to see whether the CoH client runs any better than the EVE Online client, which also uses TransGaming's Cider Windows emulation layer thing, and which unfortunately was more or less unplayable in my testing.

Yes. It ignores the sender (their global, from what my chat log has been telling me) as a spammer. So just click that button for e-mails, and also left-click the spammer's name and select "ignore as spammer" for any tells you may get.

I understand that the button replaces the /ignore_spammer and /gignore commands for in-game e-mail spam. What I'm asking is whether it also replaces the /petition that was officially recommended in this announcement from Lighthouse. Should we still be filing a /petition before hitting the new Spam button, or does the button now take care of that for us? For that matter, the same question applies to the new "ignore as spammer" option for /tells. -

<ul type="square">[*] Added "Spam" Button to email window. It will ignore the sender as a spammer and delete the email.[/list]

Does this also take care of whatever is necessary behind the scenes to report the spammer/incident? Or should we still be filing petitions in addition to using this new button?
