I wander how I can enlist myself as an actor? Movie theater would probly just be that you work in the ticket office at the theater or some other job there. I've noticed there are actully signs in some areas for a live theater in Paragon City. If I could log off there that would put me into my real life day job. lol
Can't remember exactly where that live theater is but I belive it's in Atlas Park.

There is an outdoor theater in Perez by the lake. -
Going to play devils advocate with the day jobs feature. I'm not saying its good, or bad - more giving food for thought.
One downside to characters earning skills offline can be looked at by what Eve Online does. Their skill system is entirely based on real world time, not game time. Their downside is it can be elitist at times - if you don't have the skill points, you don't play with the big boys. Since it is real world time based, there is practically no way to catch up with characters that are around since the beginning of the game.
Also it leads to character and account sales being more common - which in Eve is actually encouraged by the company since they have a sponsored way to trade characters instead of ebay.
Finally, it makes your account significantly more interesting to account hackers and ebay sellers. There is now something in the game that can't be obtained by powerleveling and farming. The way to get that asset quickly, is to target characters that are older. Keyloggers and account hacks could become wider problems in CoH to nab accounts that have longer skill trained characters. Eve has a SEVERE problem with those tools.
Now likely those problems will be minimal compared to Eve. Or even nonexistant. Just something to be aware of though. -
I wonder if there is going to be an option allowing you to randomly pick a player created mission out of the bunch. Then at the end of the player mission arc or each mission, you can rate and comment on them. This would help possibly find new good authors that aren't highly rated yet.
By going the random selection route it probably won't encourage farming so much, since very likely the mission will be a non-farming friendly type.
To encourage this, maybe up the rewards to be between the full blown rewards of a standard mission and that of a selected mission that isn't dev's choice yet. Or badges just for this like number of random player missions completed, number of missions rated, etc. -
Took a look and had to run away in confusion.... Positron isn't bouncing!

Here's one tip that I used on two teams successfully against Ghost Widow to get significantly more use out of scrappers.
Try to hold her repeatedly, and have the controllers declare when she was held and when she wasn't. The teams I was on called it "The Archvillain Hokey Pokey". When held, the scrappers went in and used their biggest attacks as much as possible. When she wasn't held they pulled back. The tank was the only individual that stayed in melee range while she wasn't held.
Pulled this off on a team with 3 scrappers, a tank, only 1 blaster, 2 controllers and an empath. She went down faster than Cap'n Mako did with his insane defenses. In both teams I used this on we didn't have much for debuffs and didn't have any shivans. -
As an addendum to the epic stores, you should add General Hammond in Firebase Zulu. You can do one mission for him and he sells all SO origins 40+. I like going there since there are fewer pedestrians to push me around while upgrading.

By the way, how are AoEs going to work with confuse? Will each character in the radius get a random roll to see if they get damaged? Will it work the same way for buffs and debuffs?

Heh, I can imagine some blaster setting off a full powered nova/inferno/misc nuke and wiping both teams at once. New form of griefing. I would hope they lean toward the acc check for effected players in the area to avoid that. -
First up are superbases. Ya, they sound cool but what exactly are we going to do with them? If there isn't anything there to make a superbase a superbase, it will end up as empty as the dance party. Purchasable things (with influ) such as supercomputer that can show stats, graphical map of member locations in realtime, message board, and give impromptu supergroup missions for realtime threats to the city. Rec/study/practice room to hone our new skills. Supergroup emergency room instead of the hospital. Teleporters to different sections of the city or world. Garage for vehicles. Waiting/security checkpoint room for prospective and visiting members. Holo room to fight holographic versions of villians to try their skills against (no risk==no exp, and must capture enough villian of a type to unlock it too). Land line phone where we can call contacts that we don't have their cell phone number for. The list could go on. Point is, make the superbases meaningful.
Another item: linked supergroup missions. Not necessarily have a mission where you can have more than 8 members on a team, but a chain of missions that the supergroup can only do that requires 4 or more members on any given mission. Just like the contacts now, but for the whole supergroup.
Thanks for asking for input Statesman. 6 stars for you and your great work on this game!
