    It's a joke video, though.

If you want legit PvP vids, watch them from these people:

    graffx3x
    AuraNRGFX
    Hoj808
    M3zmer1ze

Myk, Elite, Vert, and a good number of other "legit" PvPers have some vids up, too.
    Thanks, I'll check 'em out.

Regardless, here's the Suggestions and Ideas forum.
Thanks and yes, thats what I mean.
  3. That was the type of detailed response I was hoping for! You rock, Dispari - thanks again.

edit: Also, good advice from Adeon.

    edit 2: And Thaumator ;D
  4. I couldn't find a place for suggestions. This looked like the closest thing to it so if this isn't the place, direct me to a better alternative

Being able to move around the different frames is nice but it would be really nice if there was a way of locking them in place. By locking, I mean disabling the ability to accidentally drag them out place.

    Thats it
  5. Hey, new player here and my character is at level 25 now. I have a few questions about Enhancements and Inventions.

    - Enhancements -

I'm not sure what I should be doing at the moment. I'm finding that slotting is difficult to keep up on and I'm oblivious to the cost/benefit of really doing it.

On one hand, I imagine it is easier to make Inf at 50 so maybe I shouldn't worry about spending now and be willing to pay more in order to hit 50 faster. On the other, it seems that replacing them every couple of levels costs quite a bit and may not even matter that much.

    Specific questions:

    1) What type of enhancements ( should I be buying (if any)? SO, DO or IO?
    2) Should I keep all of my slots filled?
    3) If yes, I'm finding this pretty difficult to do... any suggestions on the best way to do this? Maybe I'm leveling too quickly at the moment and it will be easier once I hit a higher level...

    - Inventions -

I have a weak understanding with what I should be doing with Recipes and Invention Salvage. I usually have a bunch of salvage and recipes but not the combinations to actually make stuff.

Again with the cost/benefit thing. On one hand, I could just sell the extra stuff... on the other hand, I'm looking at that Field Crafter Badge for the portable table.

    1) Should I just sell everything?
    2) Should I sell on the Market or just to vendors?
    3) What about IOs that I can use? I understand they don't have to be constantly upgraded... maybe these are the answer to my Enhancement problems?

    Thanks for any assistance.

Snowstorm, however, will interrupt most powers (but won't keep a Stalker out of hide since it's not a damaging power).

    2. Presence is a really really bad pool. Especially with the way mezzes work in PvP, there are very few builds that can take advantage of that pool in PvP, and a Fire/Cold isn't one of them. More likely than not the power pools you'll want will be Fitness, Speed, Leaping, and something else of your choice (Leadership if you take Leviathan Mastery, or Concealment for Phase Shift if you take Mace Mastery).

    3. For the majority of combat in arena and zone these days, slotting up Super Jump and Super Speed, and running them in conjunction with one another, will be more than adequate. Many players take Hurdle from the Fitness pool (as a gateway to Stamina, mostly) but giving that power anything more than the base slot is usually a waste.
    Thanks, Mac.

    2. mind/nrg or mind/fire dom: i've been messing around on my mind/fire and i've come to realize how insanely powerful the combination is, post dom-buffs.
    3. unusual... you like control, so i say consider an ill/cold troller (target disruption + healer griefing) or a fire/cold corr (emp griefing + dmg)... both are relatively rare, but very useful if you're interested in running disruption in a kb. i seriously back the fire/cold here, as it's one of those toons you can really grow on; you'll simply disrupting, but as your ability to lock a target while benump recharges increases, you'll start getting in on spikes and being a pretty good asset to your team.

do not roll a regen scrapper. it will give you downs syndrome if you don't hang out with the right crowd. running around on a regen scrapper is like having a big sign on top of your head stating "i am potentially retarded, would you like to be my retarded tru warrir friend?".
Black Barrier, I've decided to take your advice with fire/cold corr. So far, so good. I found a nice character planner and have been playing around a bit. I am hoping you could answer some questions for me.

    1. Is there a way to tell which spells apply a DoT? Some descriptions are pretty vague. Specifically, I'm wondering which Fire spells. Is there some database I don't know about that has some detailed descriptions of powers?

    2. I'm considering picking up Presence for the two Fears but I'm not sure of exactly how that works. Does fear break on damage? Do they share a recharge timer or anything I should know?

    3. I'm looking at some sort of combat movement speed increase. I've noticed that there are a few moves that have slots for SpeedRunning... specifically, Sprint, Swift and Super Speed. Do they give the same bonus per slot of SpeedRunning or do they have varying effects?

  9. Greetings all.

I just purchased the game last night but didn't get too far into it thanks to the awesome character creation.

I am a PvPer from multiple games and while I understand that PvP is in a difficult spot at the moment (at least from what I am reading) I know that is the playstyle I will gravitate towards.

What I would like is some insight into what a good "class" would be to play.

    3 things I am looking...

    1. Ranged
    2. Control-centric
    3. Rare (not many people playing it) <--- Not a necessity but it would be nice.

So, what would be a good plan?
