Thanks, Transpires my Lenovo R61i is using proprietary Lenovo drivers which are no longer supported. Furthermore because its Lenovo home-brew I can't use an Intel driver even though its compatible with my chip-set.
I will never buy a Lenovo again. Bag of [censored]. -
Ty for the help. I'll post if it works, company laptop is pretty locked down so I'll have to call in a few favours.

Hello,
Can anyone help? When launching the game it constantly crashes while loading, I have only installed the game (purchased from the NC store) and patched but not been able to play.
I have also downloaded a further patch found here; ftp://client.coh.com/US/CoH_NA_Setup.exe
I keep getting the same "ig4dev.dll" file referenced. Please help.
Please keep it simple. I am mightily stupid. -
Playing drunk is good. Once the hand-eye coordination starts to go the challenge ramps right up.

Welcome back, AM! If we can avoid a flaming/bashing session I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on CoX vs WoW.
Come visit us on Infinity. We have cookies!
Y'know...the GOOD kind. Not like those other servers.

Ummhhhh... Cookies. I'll ping you a PM about WoW.
Currently having some "issues" logging. Nice to see some things never change.
@Lisar, thanks downloading the .exe now - fingers crossed.
@Jack_Power, Ipswich Town FC I'm afraid. Been "up north" for ten years but still follow the Blue Army. -
Ty guys. Currently having loading issues. Will keep you posted.

The title had so much promise. I find this thread deeply unfulfilling.

I have been away from the game for some time but the one question that keeps reoccuring to me is "When is CoX2 coming out?"
Has there been any announcements or rumours over the previous 12 months that I have missed? Is CO actually CoX2? Whats the general feeling on this? After 4 or 5 years there must be something in the pipe-line? -
I suppose we'll have to see. I can only see it happening as a cost cutting measure and for that to occur I think the total number of servers will have to be reduced.
Having a fantastic infrastructure is fine if you have the player numbers to warrant it but expensive if you don't.
BTW, could anyone give me a steer on which servers I should be considering? My main criteria would be how busy they are.
Fewer RP'ers would also be good -
Just idle speculation I think. EU population is pretty low as a whole though and it isn't helped by the need to provide multi-lingual servers which further fragments the limited numbers.

Cheers guys. Been humming and harring about come back for a few weeks and I'm really looking forward to it now.
Come on downloader! Come on!!! -
Hello there,
I just thought I would drop everyone a "hullo" from the UK. I am a returning CoX'er and forumite and was active on the EU servers for about 3 years before leaving for WoW about 12 months ago.
I have decided to come back to the game but on the "other side of the pond" as I believe from the EU forums the servers over there are a tad quiet.
I look forward to meeting some of you in-game, just as soon as the updater is finished downloading.
I would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who happens to have also come over from the UK.
See you soon.
