Is there a gaming LAN up in the DC/Baltimore area with City of Heroes/Villains installed? Family may be traveling up there soon and mah laptop is not a gaming system.
-
Oh, great, I forgot how to add photos, hold on hold on...
It's... BACK ALLEY BRAWLER!
And yes, I kept hassling him for more pirate stuff like shoulder parrots and Pirate Masterminds.
So much so that he turned into this to avoid me!
Hey, who brought a Tank to a Tanker event...? -
Just want to say now to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR
Are we gonna run more Hami Raids in 2010?
Are we gonna run more Mothership Raids in 2010?
Are we gonna run more TFs in 2010?
Are we gonna run more pirate-themed Mission Architect arcs in 2010?
Are we gonna eat more pie in 2010?
Are we gonna wait in line for Iron Man 2 three months before it even comes out in 2010? ...seriously?...
Are we gonna get employed in 2010? (glances about) Okay, so I gotta work on my priorities.
---
New Year's Resolutions
1) get a full-time job
2) get the NaNo book finished, edited and sent to print (will need a professional artist at some point)
3) restore the Grand Republic -
Who is planning what for 2010? And where?
Me: another attempt at the A+ Cert exam in January. MegaCon in Orlando in March. After that, it's all job hunting. I might put my name in as a write-in candidate for Congress maybe. My campaign slogan? "I NEED THE JOB!" -
We had a good early turnout, but the WL battle took a good amount of time, by the time of the actual TT event we were down to just one full team... we still did damn good work in Peregrine yarrrrrr...
-
Hey. Instead of winning prizes, can NCSoft just hire me instead? I needz the job!!!
-
...the Avatar movie comes out and three days later Atlas Park is full of blue tall catgirls.

So if you got a Fire tanker, bring it.
If you got an Invuln tanker, bring it.
Ice tanker? Love to. Bring it.
Shields? Oh yeah baby, especially if you got that shield charge...
Electric Tanker? Bring. It.
Willpower? It's been BRUNG. But Bring it it again.
Dark Armor? Hmm. (thinks it over) Hurrrmmmm. (pauses) Humrrmrmmrmmrmmrr. What the hell. Bring it.
Stone Armor? You can sneak a kinetic defender in but only if said Kin has SPEED BO... (Pep taps her mighty foot impatiently) Nvm. But bring the Stoner. -
Back in the ancient days when the Game Devs unleashed the Villain Epic builds - Soldiers and Widows - a handful of us were invited into a VEAT-only Villain Group, Arachnos Death Squad.
Well, have to say that while there was a lot of activity with that VG early on, interest seemed to have died down...
Pretty much to the point I inherited the Redstar uberleader post by default because of logging Gecarcinus on a regular basis.
heh. hehehehehh... BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! (more maniacal laughter)
Relax. I didn't go completely crazy with the VG.
I did, however, relax a rule: the non-ranked members - Privates - didn't have base access. Considering that people hadn't logged in for awhile to where their rankings would have slipped to lowest rank, I decided to open the base to all ranks.
Telepads to all major villain zones were already installed, so that's good.
There was a lot of prestige on hand to add another workshop room for more storage. I also spruced up the medbay (just a little) and shuffled some of the furniture in the large workshop for better flow. I did keep the giant Arachnos ship there...
I did lock down the storage bins so that Private cannot access them, so there's some security to that.
I do need to hear from ADS members to ensure you guys are still on and still willing to run your Epic Spiders from time to time. Maybe with Winter Event around the corner, it's time for
SPIDERS ON ICE!

<---- goes back to dig up all the info on his seven MA arcs for re-posting.

I DID IT.
50,000 word count (so far). Over 174 pages (so far).
And the damn thing's not even finished yet!
I've still got:
A confrontation with local Yakuza.
A poker game.
Three shooting attempts.
An awkward late-night conversation at a fridge.
A kamakazi tank going over a cliff.
And a surprise twist ending (it turns out that _____________________ and ________________ which won't be resolved until the next book).
This damn thing's gonna take me all of December to finish.
Check it out at http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/125773 -
Cake mission is available on Architect Missions! Head to your nearest AE building and log in for "You Say It's Your Birthday!" at ID 3630 (or 3691, I lost track. Either of them is the Rum Run, by the way, so DO BOTH! :-) )
Happy birthday! -

With one week to go:
Just reached 30,000 plus words. Out of 50,000 needed to 'win'. Meaning I'm 3/5 done with the contest (but about 1/2 done with the actual book, honestly).
At 107 pages so far. I figure about 224 pages for the final novel when I get to it.
When is the operative word. No longer an 'If' like my other attempts.
This is, by the by, the most I've ever gotten on a NaNoWriMo.
I can DO this. -
Last I checked, servers were down. They said they would be back up by 8:45 est. Gonna go back and check...
-
Can anyone up there check for me?
-
All apologies for the lateness of the posting.
If I recall correctly the teamage for this Shardtober fest was
Psychotro Paul
Exodus Force
Dr. Malthusian
Ready Aim Bubbles
Amdis
Bullet McGraw
Feride Edain
Delerious
If I were incorrect, please sue me for emotional damages. Just remember I am unemployed and an ex-librarian, so there's no money at this end of things...

We had a banner spawnage just as TT started to form. Pity we didn't get enough people in-zone to finish it in time.
Had some fun trying to ToT for a few minutes, but found out the xp and the debt wasn't that all good so we went with radio door missions instead (which went a bit better).
So. Justice server next week again, followed by Triumph server? -
Absolutely no Trick-or-Treating being done in Grandville. or any other CoV zones.
Shame. SHAME!
I know full well there are forum lurkers here with Villains in dire need of a) badges, b) banners, c) costume salvage, and d) rocks.
I formally request that we get all-day Thursday people working their Villainous natures and rocking the Rogue Isles until the vampire cows come home.
I want to see up to 3 spawns of Grandville zones.
I want banners destroyed every hour on the hour.
I want a cookie.
I want Statesman's helmet on a pike outside the Centauri Emperor's palace as a warning to the next ten generations that Nerfing powers come at too high a price. >.> <.< Yeah, you heard me.
Join us AND DIE! shall be the watchword of the day.
Thursday. If I don't see at least 120 people in Grandville by 2 pm EST, I will begin yodeling and call forth Wormsign the likes of which would shatter the whole of Arrakis!

I'm so sorry you weren't able to make it Force... we also missed Maxi001 and Stoll Nagga Da Bob, so we had to keelhaul Myr and bribe two others to join us on the final Shard...
We had Dr. Malthusian (dc'ing every third mish sigh)
Amdis
Renamon
Delerious
and my boy Psychotro Paul (hitting 50!)
with special guest star Starcrasher (Myr! dinging 50 but also suffering the worst case of DC in the Storm Palace zone I ever seen... had to be the environment graphics)
and introducing Julia Roberts... no wait...
and introducing Steadman (@Gasoholic) and Phobia Phantom (@Phantom Knight)
And with that, the Shard realms return to normalcy... calm... restored to... WAIT ZOMBIES IN FBZ! NOOOOOOOOO (zombie Dr. Boyd: "Brrraaaaaiiinnnnsss...")
Ahem
Many thanks to all you joined in on the Shardtober run this year. Especially a ton of thanks to the Saturday team and to Cherry_2000 for hosting those TFs. Danke! -
I did ITF... SOLO... in nine point seven seconds.
Of course, I was in the middle of my deepest REM sleep pattern at the time, so I could have imagined the whole thing...
...and it might explain why the 5th Column in the third door mission all turned into flying mermaids talking backwards Creole... -
