Tanker Tuesday Tour '09

Heeeeellooooo, Cleveland!...er, I mean Victory server.

Most(if not all) of you probably don't know me, but you may have heard about Tanker Tuesdays being held on Champion. You may have been to the 3 year anniversary which gathered 500+ Tanks on Champion with some Dev appearances, and numerous contests for prizes, or seen that it won the 2006 Favorite Player-run Event award. Or not. It doesn't matter.

I'm just one of the Tanks that have attended, and helped run it when needed every first Tuesday for 62 straight months(5 year anniversary was October).

Well, to make a long story short, we thought it would be fun to hold some Tanker Tuesdays on the other servers. Once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday (regular TT is 1st Tuesday on Champion, 2nd Tuesday is on Justice) going in alphabetical order.

So, all you Tank lovers please meet up on the wall near the Independence Port Gate in Kings Row Tuesday, Dec. 15th at 9 pm est where we will split into teams to have some all-tanker fun.

All levels, and powersets are welcome, as long as you are a Tank.

The only requirement is that you have fun, and take the initiative to attain it. Any Victory Tanks who want to step up, and co-host/lead a team, please do. Just show up, and let us know. The more the merrier. No sign-up is necessary.

If you want to run a TF, let us know so we can see if others would like to join you, and we'll try to put a team together. We've completed pretty much every TF in the game with an all-Tank team, including STF, and ITF (results may vary ).

We usually try to form the TFs before normal mission teams.

To assist in forming teams, we ask that you hold up the numbers:

1 for levels 1-10
2 for levels 11-20
3 for levels 21-30
4 for levels 31-40
5 for levels 41-50

with the Judge emote (i.e. /em score 10) while standing on the wall. Once picked for a team, please join your team off the wall. It also helps if Tanks with like numbers stand close to each other on the wall.

I might even try to run a Tanking 101 team. For this, please let me know via tell.

I also ask that you join the TankHQ channel(/chanjoin TankHQ) for the event, or longer if you want, especially if you are late. Please let us know through the channel, and we'll do our best to put you on an appropriate team.

Tanker Tuesdays are good fun, join in if you can. I wish I could make it, but Tuesdays are terrible for me since I work late on Tuesdays this semester.

Works well at any level range, too.

So if you got a Fire tanker, bring it.

If you got an Invuln tanker, bring it.

Ice tanker? Love to. Bring it.

Shields? Oh yeah baby, especially if you got that shield charge...

Electric Tanker? Bring. It.

Willpower? It's been BRUNG. But Bring it it again.

Dark Armor? Hmm. (thinks it over) Hurrrmmmm. (pauses) Humrrmrmmrmmrmmrr. What the hell. Bring it.

Stone Armor? You can sneak a kinetic defender in but only if said Kin has SPEED BO... (Pep taps her mighty foot impatiently) Nvm. But bring the Stoner.

If you have one already bring them to King's Row by IP Gate (Line up on the wall, please) at 6pm PT, 9pm ET and get ready to join the scrum of Tanks bashing justice into the crooks of Paragon City! Winter Even is live. Will we be pounding Snaptooth or heading to the "Winter Zone" for frosty mayhem?

Another fun time was had on tour. Thank you Victory for being such a great host. I think we ended up with three teams running a mixed level team, a TF team (running Citadel?) and an upper levels team. In any case the mixed level team made a couple of forays into the frosty realm of Lord Winter (in between door missions) and participated in foiling his chilly plans.

As usual I had a great time and got to meet some of the Tankers on Victory. Thank you all for a great time!

Yeah, I'm sorry I missed out. You all need to come back during the spring semester when I can play on Tuesdays again, heh.
