None: they've already said so. They know that people would want complete control over their cars - and like I said earlier, the development team already looked at this and said "We don't want to make City of Cars".
We don't need vehicles. -

Dagnabbit! Zek beat me to it! I hope her innies turn to outies and her ears go vicey-versey!

No, no you do not want that. -
Put yourself on Invince, and go do someone *else's* MA stuff? That way, at least, you'll be surprised?
-
If you just use the AE testing feature, you don't get xp, right? I think that the AE pretty much fills the need for a danger room, though I wish at some point we could design our own areas and levels, which would kind of complete the work.
-
I think maybe it should just default to "three of whatever, changes to the lowest tier of the three". So if you've GOT three 3rd tier insps it'll change to that, if not, to whatever the lowest is. They drop like skittles from the rainbow, so it's not like they're a commodity.

I'm starting to feel like a troll... I had no intention of starting anything, I just wanted to knwo what I'd missed when I was gone.
At least it's not a flame war!

Oh no, no. This is just fond memories of campfire shouting -
I think it's because in game, I have hardly ever had a gold title. I've been in the wrong pocket d, or on a different server, and by the time someone blurts out "DEV IN POCKET D!" and I get there, they're long gone. So I'm compensating by getting people to spread my caustic joy here on the forums instead.
And yeah - the whole "I can't type because my fingers are fused from a fire" was ... so inconsistant and idiotic. I would doubt that the kid was old enough to WORK let alone be in an accident at work. Guh. Anyway. Probably enough bashing of people who aren't here any more heheh. -
heheheh. Awesome. I love it when I say things that wind up in siggies.

Great thread, with one major drawback.

Only one?! -

Ouro portal shiny!
and take me to PI?

What, so you can whine about getting pl'd? NO WAI! -
Reversing the color scheme is MUCH nicer, I think. Enough trim to break it up, very nice.

This isn't those games, pal.
LotRO ALSO has "monthly subs". D&D, etc etc etc ALL have monthlies that make the bulk of their subscription base. Not lifetime subbers.
Unless you're going to produce hard actual evidence to that effect. Which... well, you know, you can't, because there isn't any. -

At heart, all of you agree with me.

No. No we don't all agree. Some might. Most won't.

A one time fee would be far better.
[/ QUOTE ]
For cheap people who don't understand the first thing about long-term investments, perhaps. This game is a long-term investment, not a one off.
[ QUOTE ]
You may be ridiculing it, there's nothing wrong with the idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is plenty wrong, as shown right above my post. Many holes can be poked in the theory that this is a 'great' idea.
[ QUOTE ]
The continuous fee is more ridiculous than the idea to replace it with a one-time fee.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you have it exactly backwards. It's better for YOU maybe, if you get xmas money and don't know what to do with it.
But the developers of this game have a long-term release schedule to keep up with, along with *actually paying their employees* more than once in a while.
We JUST had this discussion. Fifteen bucks is not expensive, it's 2 Starbucks visits, 1 movie with popcorn, cheaper than most DVD releases, etc etc etc.
Scrape the lint off your coins and dig into the couch. The game is worth fifteen bucks.
If it's not, don't play. B'bye. Enjoy your "free" mmo's. But keep those reciepts for the expansions you have to buy in order to get anything more than dirt nothin' in them. -
Pffff. I can solo Envoy on an emp.
Okay I kept *falling off the damn cliff* every time... lol. -
Wrong, people like to pvp when it's an organized event like this one. Plus: if it's a pokemo... gladiator event, I love those, I suck at it, but I still have fun.
-
Not white. Silver, one of the middle greys. And then, you might change the trim around the shoulder detail to that same grey. It would give a little more definition to the guy, instead of just black across him.
-
Actually, yes, yes it does make it incredibly stupid.
The people putting up entirely moronic ideas got pissed that people would just out of hand say "no" - because they supposedly wanted feedback about their idea.
When it came down to it, some of those ideas were *so* bad and *so* impossible to tackle, just a plain old "no" was the ONLY option. It wasn't mocking - it was the truth.
And of course - when those people who couldn't put a good argument together to salvage their ideas in the face of ANY critique - even "the devs don't want to do that, it would take too long" or "we don't have the game mechanics for that" - they would flip out and start crying "they're hurting my feelings!"
The only butthurtness going on was by people who could neither take a joke, NOR criticism. When given that indepth "not just a no, but here's a no and why all the reasons no is the best reply" responses, *they did not think it was good enough*.
So... sorry, sometimes /no IS the best answer. Sometimes people do NOT understand that THEY are not being judged by their posts - until they decide to force the issue. Someone saying "no, that's not a good idea" is NOT saying "I think you're stupid".
Until the poster in question starts coming back with "you all hate me! I don't know why I even post here! this is the worst community ever!"
Which is ... well, stupid and wrong. Some people are, just... stupid and wrong. And yet, they type and have access to the internet. >_> -

And for your WoW comments, remember Blizzard has a development team about 100 times the size of Paragon Studios and their advertising shows that they have plenty of money to throw around.

And yet we can still hover around 1/10 into the game, fly if you're a peacebringer, and have options to get us where we need to go that far outstrip the lack of "personal vehicles" that some folks seem to want.
It's just a want. It's not a need. Yes, it would be cool. But short of having a cut-scene made exclusively for your character every time you hit the "emote/power" for a vehicle, *it wouldn't make any sense* in the game's setting.
Maybe the closest we should get is Gravity's Propel power throwing cars and bikes around... -
The devs have already indicated they don't feel like turning the game into City of Cars.
That pretty much says it all. The idea that this game "must" have vehicles? That's crazy talk. Why would I need a car, I can *teleport* wherever I need to go.
Plus, have you SEEN how the idiots on Paragon's streets drive?! -
Having been in on the "discussions" at that time, I am personally surprised *I* didn't get at least a temp ban during the issues.
He wasn't messing with those two. He was saying "no" to their incredibly stupid ideas, at which point both of them *went ballistic* in a way that no one - NO ONE - could have explained. For 2 or 3 nights, the forums were on fire. Jranger was not the instigator of this- their moronic ideas and kneejerk reactions to criticism were. I gave them a /no in more or less uncertain terms - they were positive that I was also a horrific villain. They were just stupid monkeys who I hope learned a bit from the experience... -
The thing is that each game code is *permanently* attached to an *account*. They are *not* transferrable. I would still say, if you know the account info, just change it to your billing preference and let that be that.
-
I'm sorry to hear that.
Do you have all the NC logon info? Because you should be able to just change it to your info, if you do. If not... I don't know if they *can* do anything for you there.
