  1. Tax return will see a new 285 in pc. I had hoped that it would drop some in price. I can wait for ultra mode till it gets here

    Yes, the laughing-stock of Talos.
I'd add about ten levels to thier current upper limit and give them access to the Shields defensive set, at least amongst amongst the new, higher-level section.
And DB. The warriors would be my pick also. This is a great group, with a ton of potential.

Second would be Freak Show. I would love to see them with some glowie costumes like the Rikti have.
  4. I could live for weeks on a few screen shots of costumes WE get. I am not so excited about seeing more NPCs with stuff I would like to have.

I have read your comics, all good stuff. Fry an onion to go in them, and add a tady of Soy sauce. Makes it better
  6. I hope my Tax return gets here before Ultra Mode

  8. Too long of a wait I think. I make them as I am inspired.
  9. I read the HGL boards a lot before the crash of the game, and the boards being taken down. It all started just like it is over on the CO boards.

The really sad thing, is I feel like those who left CoX for CO are also getting what they deserve. I know this is a consumer world, and there is no real brand loyalty to most, but many of us did stay loyal. It is going to be really interesting to see how some of those people come back.

Reading to CO boards today, I saw a lot of names that I knew.
  10. With the company, and who they put in charge I saw this coming. Roper crashed HGL with his arrogance, and horrible management. I agree with PP, now is the time to do a huge marketing dump.
  11. I really don't think the new end game content will be designed around uber fully tweaked builds. I am pretty sure that one of the devs stated that they did not expect players to FULLY IO builds. So to make content that requires it, goes back on the casual gamer statements they have made for the past 5 years.

The Devs tick me off at times, offten here lately, but I still trust them to make this game fun for everyone. Not just the elite who have the time, or stored inf to make uber toons.

I want more power to be the reward for end game content, not the requirement. Based on the game so far, the Devs feel the same way.

  13. Glad my book came. I think the bigger problem, and the reason tempers are high on both sides of the argument is because of the lack of GR info.

Once the info starts flowing again, I think things will calm down a tad. That, ot the real DOOM will start to fly.

    I would.
While Arcanaville I rarely thing you are wrong (Because you aren't) this time I think you are. While it may not bee good, the ugly truth is the customer is allowed to act that way, those providing the service are not. It is a horrid double standard, but the world is full of them.

I was pretty happy to see that those were not terms I had used No matter what, I do think it could have been done better. As I said on my SG boards, I am buying GR (no doubt there) for Costumes, Powers, and Side switching. I am sure I will enjoy the other features, but as of now those are the ones I am most looking forward to.

I am not really excited about seeing new PCs who have items that I get to lust after for the next few years the same way I have wanted the Robo Cop style armor that the Paragon Police force has, or the Kheldian sash, or the Freak Show tattoos, or any other number of things in the game.

I had hoped that going forward enemy groups, and NPCs (too much to ask for there I know) would be created the same way that PC characters are.

I am looking very much forward to new GR info. This by no means decreased the excitement I have for GR.

    Good link, thanks!

I am also using my netflix watch now option, and fear.net. Still I am like a man in the ocean dying of thirst. What I REALLY want is GR or GR info, the rest are just poor fill ins.

    Spend My Money!

Cyborg, and Valk have some great costume parts, and I would be hard pressed to say which one I use more.

If this is grounds for getting angry, well, I'd hate to see what would happen to some of you if you were playing an SOE MMORPG when they pulled one of their famous sledgehammer patches, changing the game overnight - it's hard to predict whether you'd have a cardiac arrest or a head explosion.

There is a lot of crap on these boards that I find it odd that people get angry over. Shoot there is a lot of crap in life that I find it odd that people get angry over. Each person has their own triggers.

I am a loyal player of this game, and I can't see that changing till the servers go down for good. That dosen't mean i sit in a fantasy world where the Devs do no wrong. I am just willing to call them on it.

Much of the "anger" here is nothing more than net anger. The tone of message boards tends to be one of anger, even if it isn't. In person I think the most that would be said is "That was messed up." In person there is also tone of voice, facial expression, and body language. Not hard to get a point across.

On the internet it takes a lot more to get something across, and convey feelings. So more gets typed wrong, and more gets misunderstood.

I am annoyed. Partly by the lack of info, partly by the mishandling of the original post, partly by how so many rush to defend a mistake, and partly because this is not the first time. Is it life changing? Nope. I am mostly just bored, I finished a good book, and I am waiting for the next one to get here in the mail. I can't speak for others, but I will forget about this as soon as more info is released, or my book gets here. I am a firm believer in poop happens.

If you keep pulling out the pitchforks and torches, that could only cause one thing to happen... they clam up again and you get even LESS information in the future.

Why risk it? Do you really want that to happen? I don't think so.
This (I hate to say) is the most sound of the "don't get upset" logic. As I said before in the thread, costumes are something people are passionate over. This is a GOOD thing! People will defend, or lash out when the things they care about are... unclear. Combine that with the lack of GR info, and yes people are going to be angry. It is again a good thing that people get angry over this game. I promise those who have left could care less if that was an NPC costume or not. Those of us who will never leave, we care.
  20. I just keep an eye on the Dev and Community digest, most of the day.

You're blaming Sexy Jay for that? Harsh!

That's a fairly specific accusation. Personally I'd rather the Devs spent time working on the game itself, rather than monitoring the forum continuously just in case they could post a little bit earlier to save you a little time reading, posting and getting your hopes up about totally unsubstantiated speculation.

But maybe that's just little old me remembering that most MMO Dev teams don't interact with their playerbase directly at all (assuming they even have official forums) and that we should be grateful for the open lines of communication here - doubly so in this case, considering the lack of GR info in the last few months.

Here is where you lose. We have a community team who's job IS to read these boards. So THEY could have dispelled any misconception in less than 200+ posts.

You know, it is ok to get angry with people you like sometimes. I like the Devs, I even think Jay's posts are funny as hell, but I am annoyed that this was not made clear to start with, or at the least much sooner than it was.

Yes, it would have been sweet, but it does seem that the glowing “Tron-esque” armor is NPC specific. There could be a dozen reasons why it might not work as costume pieces – these things are always way more complicated on the back-end than you might think.

That being said, your overwhelming response to the armor did not go unnoticed by the Devs, so they are definitely aware that if there is ever an opportunity to bring you costume pieces of this nature, you want them! I wouldn’t be surprised if the wheels in their heads are already turning. I’m not saying that anything will end up coming out of it, but our Devs tend to be pretty good at fleshing out all the possibilities.

And by the way Jay, we don't have a basement.
Ocho, some days I think you community reps are keeping this game alive. Thank you for translating.

With that said... I think it would of been better if this was communicated in the original post, or VERY soon after. It can's be said that this is a new occurrence, because the SAME thing happened when the pics of the roman armor were posted.
