  3. Your name goes pink in the SG roster waiting for you to return to either the path of the straight & narrow for hero groups or the path of might for the villain groups.

Villains and Rogues can access villain bases.
Heroes and Vigilantes can access hero bases.

If you are the super leader of the group and you go to the opposite alignment, you get demoted and someone else takes your place.

Turn off XP and hopfully you can do the other Neutropolis arcs. You should be able to pick up the Warden Arc off the street (unless you killed/disappeared the contact), but it will require you to go resistance for a bit.

Plots of the Four Tracks -- MASSIVE AND COMPLETE SPOILERS!!

The final choice of going to the Rogue Isles or Paragon City might also count to the badge.

    My thought regarding this..

  10. Introduction
Warning, picture heavy as I really don't want to spend the time converting these to text. I should note that all these trials took place on the Triumph Server. Usually between 4pm and midnight pacific time on week nights, and 6pm and midnight pacific on weekends.

    Part 1: Charts
For those that will have their heads swimming at the tables that follow, here is a simple graph breaking down the results.

Here is the overall percentages for the common/uncommon/rare/very rare tables.

Here is the percentages for the common/uncommon/rare/very rare tables for the 04/05/2011 patch (Issue 20). If you thought that you were getting a lot of uncommons during the first few weeks of Issue 20, you were not mistaken.

Here is the percentages for the common/uncommon/rare/very rare tables for the 04/26/2011 patch. This patch was supposed to fix the uncommon percentage by increasing the chances for higher level rewards. Instead it increased commons while decreasing uncommons.

Here is the percentages for the common/uncommon/rare/very rare tables for the 06/28/2011 patch (Issue 20.5). This patch introduced the Keyes trial. This patch significantly reduced rare drops.

Here is the percentages for the common/uncommon/rare/very rare tables for the 09/13/2011 patch (Issue 21 Head Start). This patch introduced the Underground Trial to the game, as well as brought some players back.

    Part 2: Spreadsheets
Here is a straight breakdown of fails/threads/common/uncommon/rare/very rare by trial by major patch change. I think the numbers pretty much speak for themselves.

Here are the previous tables, turned into percentages.

This table is for those that are mainly interested in the distribution of trial rewards, not including fails and threads.

Breaking down the numbers further, here are the results of the various Archetypes by patch. Yes, I tend to play controllers more than anything else.

Here is the character breakdown. Yes, White Succubus is my badge character and tends to be played the most, so it isn't suprising that she has the most trial experience.

As you can see, each character has widely different luck with the trials. This should hopefully give players a starting point for a discussion about overall trial rewards, difficulty/popularity of some trials over others, and provide a better picture of what is happening with PUG Incarnate Trials as opposed to having a select group to do the trials with.

Well, I'm learning to think about what you are saying. Just so that you don't need to waste as much time trying to find me something distracting to play with.

I have supported, and tried to help players get used to the trials. I'm sure that Arcanaville isn't suggesting that I'm not (in addition to my complaints ).

BUT THIS TRIAL IS STILL AVOIDED BY MOST PLAYERS.

So, something is still wrong, because if there is one bunch of people who will endure discomfort in the acquisition of desired awards, its gamers. This trial is so unpleasant that even the hard-core are avoidant. Smells like massive fail to me.

And that is from someone who would run the Underground trial twice a day, if I could.
Unless myself or a friend is hosting a Keyes Badge run, I'm not seeing Keyes being run.

Underground is such a mess as well. Unless I specifically don't announce a Underground and just invite through tells, I expect the Underground to fail at one of three points: The AV battles.

Why? Players cannot get their mind out of the "pile on the AV and attack" mentality.

There are players that say Undeground is too easy, just like Keyes. The difference is that the developers have missed the lessons that ITFs and Mothership raids have taught: make things simple & fun.

Underground isn't fun unless people know what they are doing or listen to the league leader. Keyes isn't fun thanks to the length and that people clearly are not ready for the amount of gimmicks thrown at them at one time.

Neither is worth the rewards at the end. Especially to someone that gets a common or thread table at the end.

Last night I was talking to someone on Triumph that waited for 2 hours in the queue last night for a trial to start, without success. I have one thing to say about that, Positron:

    I told you so.

Positron, I'd like to add one other thing that a LOT of people, including Arcanaville, has brought up on many occasions: if Anti-Matter freezes time, then it should not do any of the following:
    • Fire/target the Obliteration Beam.
    • Fire/target the Disintegration Beam.
    • Run the DoT effects of the Disintegration Beam.
Having "move or die" powers when the players cannot move, is a cheap tactic that doesn't improve the encounter.

  20. Great, I forgot the year token.

The year badge/token is actually the one I'm least concerned with. The system should be accurately figuring that out. On the other hand, it should be on the account page already, with no excuses. This is something that requires nothing from the Paragon Studio's development team for.

Why the monthly Paragon Rewards, Paragon Points, or Server Transfers have to do anything beyond checking if the account is active has yet to be explained. It should be as simple as your billing date comes up, here are your rewards: 1 Transfer Token, 400/550 Paragon Points, and 1 Paragon Reward Token.

If it is more complicated than that, someone needs to be reprimanded and told to simplify it. The also need to come to the players and apologize for all the confusion.
