Global Co's 4th year Anniversary

It’s been Four year already!

And we have no choice but to celebrate.

So we planned to run some events all weeks, to end up with a very Epic Event…. The Hamidon Nuke Raid. (see this link : http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=248175)


Here the planning:


Monday 3rd : Blue Side CoP 10pm EST

Tuesday 4th : Red Side CoP at 10pm EST

Wednesday 5th : Blue Side CoP 10pm EST

Thursday 6th : Red Side hamidon Raid followed by Blue Side Hamidon Raid (out of the regular schedules) starting at 9pm EST.

Friday 7th: Red Side Hamidon Nuke Raid

PS: Ill be out of town til Jan2th, if im stuck somewhere due to a snowstorm, either someone else from Global Co will lead those CoP’s, or we just postpone them.

Battle plan:

We learned a bit from last year.
I can’t stress you enough to eat an EoE on time as well as a T3 Breakfree. Make sure to monitor your status icons at all time an eat more EoE’s/Breakfrees when tey start blinking
Note: EoE do not stack, so only use one at a time.

Will start like any usual Hamid by clearing the initial Mitos. Then we regroup for the nukes/buffage phases.

(Strategy may change, with some open discussion, so keep updated)

Steps will be :
- Everyone Dismiss pets
- Cast all bio nukes (they are 5min duration, and cover only 20 targets)
- Cast all pets, HVAS, Shivans( they will auto attack hamid, creating agro)
- Cast all AoE buff, Am, Mind link, WoP, regen tree, etc.
- Things go fast at that point, Brute team cast there chem Nukes (cause they will be too far later on), and move back to position. Only the main brute team go back to yellow mitos position (previously thumb tacked).
- At 50% everyone cast there Chem Nukes(debuff) then there Nuke Nuke (dam). Spam heal /buff and DPS on Hamid.

Keep in mind this is a one shot deal. And the momentum is very important. Everything will be played inside 3minutes, or less

I also suggest you set your AoE heal on auto, I started to do that on my Dark,Kin and Emp, if I get lagged out, at least I know my heal may continue on.

Hamidon Nuke Raid Jan 7th, 10pm EST


Global Co will be celebrating it’s 4 years of activity this January 3rd.
Part of our celebration plan is to run an Hamid Nuke Raid this January 7th at 10pm EST.
This will be a red side raid, since our Main groupe is red side.

You may wonder what is an Hamid Nuke Raid?

It’s an Hamidon raid, where we use massive quantities of the Warburg temp power aka WB Nukes.

Back in the days when hamidon raid were long runs, with evacs, Nuke raids were a huge contrasts. As in, you had no evac, and killed Hamidon through tree full blooms.

These days the contrast is not there anymore, we often if not always skip the 25% bloom and do not evac anymore. We succeeded many times pushing the 50% bloom (pushing through 2 blooms) sometime even with few ppl in zone (I remember we did it with 30 ppl only).

50% push is not that hard, with a trained crew. If you stream EoE’s, have ppl healing, and have bit of mez protection, you can stay under the 2 blooms stress for a good while. But there is a price to pay, if things go south. That is not taking in consideration the inspiration bug (eat an EoE and its gone after 3sec only) and the Lag. When things go south, you have to evac, rez ppl and you are stuck with two full blooms to clear at once. And that easily transform a speedy Raid into a Long one. That is why I have stopped trying the 50% push lately. I rather spend 5-10min to clear a bloom, and then have to deal with the consequence of a failed 50% push.

I also saw/experienced the 75% push attempt led by Arky, and there is no way to clear 3 full blooms, if you fail the attempt.

Back on Topic…

We plan on clearing the initial Mitos only, then we regroup for our attack phase (explanation coming). We will kill Hamidon from 100% hp to 0, We will be under tree full bloom stress, We will experience awesomely awful lag, Will take pics, and Brag we did it for a whole month.

One more detail before I explain our battle plan.
We need at least 20 ppl with all 3 WB Nukes. More is better; you have a few days ahead to gather those. HVAS/Shivans are also a good idea.

And that not counting the time we loose in base, cause one guy AFK, that other guy dc'ed, and I take ages to give instructions, :P


Blue side been forming real fast lately, even Red side.

I think ppl have more interest, because of the shards reward, and also because, the days, CoP was hard and fail after fail (when it was bugged shortly after i18) are long gone.

Last week, someone was griefing in Indy port about that....

Maybe it was you or someone else.

And that after we said countless times,

"Teams are almost full, we are looking for some specific AT's to balance them..."

If you get in zone late, you could miss lot of the earlier chats.
Also there is a lot of noize over chats, ppl talking in broadcast, locals, etc.

And last points, the team leaders, just focus on there task, If you already have a migraine, trying to fix the teams, and someone just get in zone and complain they have no clue what is going on, you answer once, then you move on.

On that specific occasion, i remember clearly we answered the person (who i forgot the name). My team was full, and was having an hard time getting a feed back from from my 2 other team captains, as they had ppl alting, and they were not sure, what they lacked, or if they were full or not... all taht inside 10min.... as we filled fast.

If ppl cant wait 10min in zone for those event to form, there is an issue somewhere.

As i said on another thread, I try not to make this a scheduled Event. Well as far as I am concerned. If other ppl willing to make an official (or pseudo official) Virtue event... then ill be happy to do my share.

Anyways, since i18 came out i ran 1+ CoP a week, most of the time on Sunday night, after the Red side Hamid, or later on the night.

Last week we did it on Friday at 8pm EST, Red sidee then Blue side. And i havent done any on Sunday. I think Arky did led one that Sunday.

If you need the badge, ill be more then happy to help. We could find a schedule that work for both of us. I can normaly yell enought to my sg/vg mates to find 2 others to help lead it. (only need 3 fomr the same vg/sg).

So what time suit you guys?

Ive stopped racing time a long time ago, always nice when we do a good Time, but its not what matter to me.

That said, I just love when everyone pull his weight, and we blitz everything fast. Always fun to race to be at The AV, before everyone else and steal Alpha, specialy if you are on a squishy AT, and manage stay alive ^-^

Well, i try to not be scheduled, this is a game after all.

Already have issue to keep up with Hamid raids (that are somehow scheduled).

But it is true, that i have formed, CoP the past few sundays around 8/9pm EST.

I normaly spam on a few public channels, when i do. Last night we did red then blue side, and for blue side, somehow we had more then enough, before i even spam any channels <.<

I do CoP randomly, on weekdays as well, always depend on my own motivation and what the sg want to do.
