    This sums it up. Chances are if they are being an *** with their KB then they are being an *** in other ways also. It tends to start small "Please don't use KB when the mobs are being grouped for an AoE." in case they are new. Then it moves one to various other forms of the same request, then when those are ignored or some one leaves because of it, then they are kicked.

    So, look at it however you want. If you don't care about the game being enjoyable for me, they I really don't care about your enjoyment. This has nothing to do with a proc, and everything to do with common courtesy.

    One of CapCom's better fighting games. Almost as good as the SF games imo. I am not sure why Talbon didn't make the roster for some of the CapCom VS games.

    And yes, I do see how useful this IO is, it's why I'm being so loud about it. Yes, it's "optional", except, you know, not. And that is a problem. If there's going to be a KB/KD tradeoff, it needs to be an actual tradeoff, not a no-brainer. So my question is, really, what are the devs going to do to improve knockback so this IO is no longer a no-brainer to slot?

    Knockback needs help, it's needed it for a long, long time. And this IO? It's not helping, at all. It just makes the problem even more obvious. But maybe that's for another thread, really, a bit of a brainstorm on how to fix this, properly, not just put a band-aid over a gunshot wound.
    You do realize why melee characters hate KB right? Because it takes the things they are trying to kill and pushes it further from them. It the gives them a head start if they decide to run. Yes I hate KB on MY toons. As long as my teammates are considerate with theirs, it doesn't bother me. However, there is little in the game more frustrating than having a group around me that I need to use energy drain on, only to see them scattered by a teammate's KB power before I have a chance to use the power. That is why there are people who dislike KB.

    With the old beast heads, I'd imagine the artist was aiming for monsterous (that's what category they're in), scary (some are) and grotesque (again, some are).     Problem though is, me personally, I don't do cute werewolves so can't use the new wolf head. The kind of wolf I'd like?



    Sort of similar to the old wolf monsterous face. It looks scary (eyes, teeth, expression), cool (because its a wolf...a wolf that will eat your face by just looking at it) and sorta sexy because...well, I just like scary things that don't look maggot puke ugly and that danger adds a special sort of element to them (kinda sorta how some people would think a sleek car is sexy)...The new wolf face doesn't hit any of those points (especially not scary). The old face though? It gives me the heebee jeebees when I see my Claws/EA brute, Cerberus Wolfe's, doppleganger rush at me in tip missions...I mean, it half way makes me jump out of my chair when he just pops up behind me all big, scary and red with big white fangs ready to rip my throat out.

    Sooo, back to the shark and any other animal piece, I think the artist should have a certain goal in mind when thinking up new animal pieces. Personally, it should look scary (I don't make animal characters with teeth just for them *not* to show how big, pointy and numerous their teeth are) and cool (having no nose isn't cool, that's just ugly...having a scrunched up face also isn't cool). And the main reason I think that should be the artist's point is because the faces are static...they don't move and their mouths don't open so a face of 'action' should be the aim (since you don't do much else in the game). If the artist can hit just those two points but also hit realism at the same time, that'd be a bonus.
    All of this. Werewolves should click some primal fear in the back of our brains, just like sharks. I want scary, the animal pack had Beast Run, which was enough for me to purchase it no matter what.

    I like the animal fur texture also.

    I have always liked Captain Mako's look. His skin always has a wet look to it, and he looks like a shark. The fin is poorly placed, perhaps now that the players have back items they will give him an update.

    KB is the devil. The rest is up to you. For me it means there are powers I can now enjoy on my scrappers and stalkers. This will go right into Crane Kick on my MA toons. CK has kept me from enjoying the MA set for 8 years now. Finally I can enjoy that power set.

    Not to mention my PB, the cone I skipped in KM, Shockwave! WOW I am so excited by this!

Even so, she herself did some questionable things. It's a shame EITHER had to die, in the end. But, when it comes down to it, Washington was nothing but noble, while Cleo was sort of skirting.
    I really hope she fights this. You both re stubborn as a mule, I may would pay to watch this debate.

    They better be. I already feel like I'm going to need a good amount of these for the procs and some for the regen bonus on my regen scrapper. If this is the only way to get these enhancements than the prices might shoot up on the market once the event is over. Which wouldnt be a bad thing at all granted you used common sense and prepared for such a thing.
    That is awesome, and makes dusting off my PB even more exciting.

    If it were more than just a chance, I would be doing back flips. Unless it is a 100% chance, them I may still do them.

    What is cool is that a few years ago we were told they had tried but never could figure out how to make an enhancement that removed KB or changes it to KD. That they did find a way is awesome! I guess some of the fresh eyes that looked at it paid off.

    I would love to hear the story about how that set came about. Also anyone know if the event is the only way to get these, or will there be other ways to get them? Because I have no issue playing the event over an over, it just seems like a set that I will want a lot of.
  15. I think less people would have had a problem with the death of these signature characters if it had not come off as making us look incompetent. Sister Psi was the worst offender in that area.

    As for the actual death, I felt like I was being forced to watch with my hands tied behind my back. If we had fought Wade together, and then Statesman died of his mortal wounds, I could have lived with that. As it was presented it was more like a snuff film, because I didn't get a chance to try to rescue Statesman.

    With Sister Psi, she died because we were too stupid to see the trap. Whether that is the case or not, it sure made many people feel that way. That death did actually shock me though. It even made me a bit sad.

    It was not the best writing in the game, nor the worst. I think we have come to expect better than what it was though.

    Having played the first mission of SSA2 on beta, I feel just from part 1 the writing is MUCH better. So is the experience of it all.

    What sold me on weresharks was the Rokea from the White Wolf books. The creatures inspired an almost primal fear/attraction (not in a sexual way) but in a way like people who go diving in shark cages.

    Wolfe and Shark anthropomorphic creatures were really the only ones that excited me. There was a TMNT table top game by Palladium games I believe. That allowed for the playing of any creature anthropomorphic, but it was never one of the games I played.

    Werewolves are my all time favorite monster. I am unsure of why it is ok to love vampires, but not werewolves. I also agree that it is yet to be done well in this game.

    The pic Leo posted was amazing and just they way I would like to see something like this done. This is a costume set that I could get excited and giddy over.

The Statesman could have been used for so much more, instead he was discarded.

    And what eats the most is the Statesman didn't die because it would make for a better story. He was killed because Jack Emmert made him. And don't get me started on Sister Psyche, who seems to have been killed so Penny Yin can replace her. I struggle to imagine a WORSE way to introduce a new character, to be honest.
    I don't really disagree with any of that. I just don't think he was killed out of spite.

    I think I need to let up in general, or just take a break for a bit. It has become a bit of a thorn in my heel, or that popcorn kernel that gets stuck in your teeth at the movies.

    You are correct, and it revolves more around the statement that Zwill continues to stand behind than what is happening in practice. That and one single costume item...the sash. Also you left out the conversions that were done from male to female, but if you were not here for that thread it is understandable, and it was done in a dev's free time, so not really part of the larger issue. So, it is a perception issue for me, which may in part be caused by my current level of burn out.
