Quote:FYI I have every Doctor Who DVD release up to Peter Davison's finale. (and will soon have more when I have the money)Meh, original series at it's hight was far superior. Find yourself a copy of "Genesis of the Daleks".
While the old series is brilliant, I hardly think it's appropriate for someone who's just getting into the show. -
Well, I can't really add any info, since it's all be done.
If you want to get into it, I suggest you start by watching the series from 2005. I believe they have it all on Netflix. Because Doctor Who had been off the air for so long, it's designed to reintroduce the the series and characters for a new audience. -
The answer to that is that the production team wanted him to be the dark mirror of the Doctor, as was the original intention way back in the 70's with the 3rd Doctor. Thus, they needed a young, manic Master to play against the young, manic 10th Doctor.

Quote:Indeed, her regeneration process seemed to take much longer than the Doctor's and there was no sense of urgency. My understanding of it has always been that Romana was able to control her Regeneration because she was choosing to regenerate, rather than being forced into it as the Doctor always seems to be.
Think of it like City of Heroes. You want to change your costume? Cool, take as long as you want.
But, say, if you get killed you are forced to pick a new costume... and you only have 5-30 seconds to do it in... and you'll lose your character forever if you don't chose a new costume... you'll probably just hit random and hope for the best.

Quote:You don't think going back in time and torturing people is evil?Did think Amy was a pit psychotic - she could easily have got the entire 400+ crew of the Tesseract killed. Okay, she was trying to save her daughter, but it's not as if they where evil.
Yeah, I know that the people they are torturing are evil, but to use a cliché, two wrongs don't make a right.
I'd say they're just as evil as the people they torture. -
I kinda felt sorry for Rory and Amy in this episode by the way.
It was all really starting to pile on top of them and every moment it just got worse for them! -
Quote:Yeah, that. That was confusing. I think I'm mostly caught up on the order of events now... I think, but my parents were left in the dust.
I dunno, I understood it fine, my parents thought it was confusing though.
I really enjoyed it though. Can't wait to see what's next! -
Quote:Y'know what I'd like, a Star Trek series without a gimmick.Actually! I think it could be awesome if they do a giant leap forward style series.
[snip]
Just set it after Voyager. By a little or by a lot. And just continue the saga, boldy going where no man has gone before, on board an Enterprise.
Let strong characters and stories be the draw, not gimmicks. -
Wow... that gear looks really dumb. It looks like they are wearing striped knee high socks with MC Hammer level baggy trousers tucked into them, whilst wearing an oversized comedy rucksack.
It also looks like he has a really long torso and really short legs. -
Oh, and to make it easier for everyone, I decided to make this.
These are all the ones we haven't worked out yet.

Here's a tip for anyone, open both images in separate tabs on your browser then just flick between tabs. That way you don't need to keep trying to match up each image manually.

Ah, I was looking for him but never saw him, but he's there!
135 is Nono from Ulysses 31. -
All Punisher films have been terrible, I'm not sure how they manage to keep doing it, it's not a particularly complex concept.

44 QT1 - Out of the Unknown
I had to research it a bit, they reused the costume in a classic Doctor Who story The Mind Robber, which is where I recognised it from. They modified is slightly for Who, painted it white and added some electronics to the front. Didn't remember where the original costume came from though, and now I've found out! -

Actually, I've always wanted to see if I could kill someone over the internet. Hey, Ironik, watch this!
Enhance! -
Never watch CSI Ironik... it will make you have a brain haemorrhage.
