  1. very carefully, and keeping them out of range.. most mobs, when your throwing things at them (caltrops, web nades, etc) will target the closest thing to them.. i/e YOU, as your bots are down the road shotting them with laser cannons..
  2. mastermind attacks do suck, but you can slot some nice things in them to make it worth taking.. Devastion is one good set, gives decent bonuses for three slots (thats wasting two on a MM power.. which really isnt hard considering) and you can always slot the +rech proc in them, which procs ALOT, and gives you 100% rech for 5 seconds (very easily stacked by the way) which can really help with getting posion trap and triage back up quickly. just FYI
  3. he actually did that a long awhile ago... no temps, and few inspirations if i remember correctly. ill give Ultimus this much, he has a powerful character, but as others have stated. a well played bot/traps/anything is pretty powerful in itself. it just wasnt discovered for some time, so many didnt know its true power until well.. now?
  4. There is also quite a number of AV/Heroes in regular missions V side, that when you run relentless you can actually fight as AV/Heroes. They arent SFs, just regular things you run into.
  5. until i see him solo recluse, without any other temp powers, including base bonuses, im not impressed. Arbegla 2.0 did it on test, with a hand full of purples, and 80% of it was luck. Good luck man.
  6. it takes alot to solo AVs..

you need damage, plain and simple.
you need res, def, and regen debuffs, at the VERY least. (or enough damage to counter missing, resistances, and regen)
you need a way to keep up the first two, without dieing yourself

/Most/ MMs have all that in thier primary and secondarys, its just applying them that makes them powerful. My bot/traps can do everything ultimus can do and may even do it faster, as per her spec. her build currently is worth around 750 million infamy (LOTS of uniques, two purples, 9 more on the way, pet auras, etc) and well.. when you throw that much infamy on an already nasty combination (bot/traps) you get something that can really stream roll over anything you throw at it.

one of these days im gonna finish arbegla 2.0 and then post everything shes done.. but until that day, keep up the good work ultimus and welcome to the club.
  7. well, considering most mobs dont actually have toggles, alot are just inherent powers, i have noticed with my assault bots knockback power, or the protector bots grenade, that if it hits a flying mob (IE Longbow Eagle) it falls, assume they have 'fly' as a toggle power, it dropped it. Also with the Earth Thorn Casters rock armor power, either they turn it off, or after teh volley of rockets and grenades, its knocked off. It might be the 'stun' affect the grenades have. Thank you for the input, any more advice or personal experience would be nice. Hows the team setup work, vs actual team set ups?
  8. Im going to try to put together a Lord Recluse Strike Force guide, not because you cant do it, but because only brutes and corrs can do it successfully (dont bash me just yet, this guide is going to try to allow all ATs into the SF and still be succesfuly) What im trying to accomplish is a guide, or advice that will allow very minimal actual requirements and let ATs like Dominators, and Stalkers into the SF without seriously draining down the team. And a guide that doesnt rely so much on the secondaries as a requirement, so that /traps, or /trick arrow MMs will have a spot, and stalkers or dominators of any mix or match will be able to compete.

Ive cross referenced the powers, and basic stats and resists for the Freedom Phanlanx, and looked at the powersets for all the ATs, Dominators, by what ive looked at and researched, can be used in the LRSF before of domination, and immbolize, alot of the AVs do not have listed resist to immbolize, and if you immbolize a mob, and get out of the range of its attacks, its basically a hold. that can cut down one if not two Heroes right there while you focus your attacks, and shivans on another hero.

What i really need help on, is incorporating the Stalker AT into the LRSF without taking away from a spot that a /thermal could be healing, or a /dark could be debuffing. Please help me there.

Another place that i could use advice, is personal experience in the LRSF. How the Heroes work together? Who is the biggest threat? Other then the last mission, what makes it so hard? How do the pets hold up for MMs that are in the SF?

What makes this a beta is that i have a very basic structure for a team, and i wanted to know what other people think about it. This is what i got so far..

1 /stone brute -Who can tank damage better then that?
1 other brute - backup, can be /stone, can be anything, this guy is there so if the main brute dies, the squishy dont.
2 /thermal cors - healing is a must, no other AT has it like the thermal does
1 MM - doesnt matter what kinda pets, the debuff from the MM helps in general, and the extra firepower from the pets will back up the brute
1 Dominator - like i mentioned before, the immbolize trick can help, plus they have secondary attacks that do decent damage and can knock toggle (reference to the updated toggle dropping list posted after i7)
1 stalker - havent quite figured out how i can get this guy to work right, but i can assume, if powers like MoG or elude help, with warburg nukes, he can still deal damage per second, and the AS can be a finishing kill on a hero
1 other filler - could be buff like a /ff MM, could be extra damage like another corr, could be another dominator for extra immbolize power.

like i said before, this is very beta, and i dont know how succesfuly this can be without a solid tactic to back it up. A must tho, like with any team in this SF, everyone needs full shivans, knows the 'double your shivans power' trick, and have all three warburg nukes, with the buff going first, and the debuff waiting for statemen, or atlest the last three. with the nuclear ones dropping as a last ditch effort to deal extra damage. Please pass any advice you can to me, and let me know what you think. just be gentle about it.

P.S. the 'Double your shivan power' trick is simple based on time. release your shivan about 30 seconds before you need him. that way by the time he dies, the power has already recharged, and you can drop another one right then instead of waiting for him.
