  1. I think I never have much lag there is because it's hardly ever that populated.
  2. Add one more to the I12 awesomeness list. It should even keep the PvP people happy for a couple of minutes.
  3. The overall point is that villains want to to bad things to good people. The Rogue Isles is the antithesis of this in that we are forced to do bad things to mostly bad people, making us back-handed heroes. The ideas of a villain version of Paragon are the best way to get that. Make it chocked full of NPC heroes along with the standard Longbow/PPD fair and were good. I would even go as far as suggesting the ability to degrade the look of the zones ala RV were the more crimes we commit out on the street, the worse the zone looks.
  4. I think Lord Nemesis is staring right at us in that picture.
  5. OK I know noone have noticed this. The man in the hat and monicle that is staring right at you in the main I12 image has a octagonal iris. Could this man actually be Nemesis? Could they have put the clue right in front of us to see if anyone could see the obvious?
  6. Anyone notice the new shiny textures? in the costumes? Yeah for real metallic looking skin!

Put simply. It's never going to happen folks, it's too much of an investment of budget to justify such as small feature to the game.

I'd like to make a "Gentleman's Wager" on that Tal. I'll bet we will see some form of color customization on effects by summer 2009. I would have been of the same opinion as you a while back, but the CC has been gaining more and more momentum. It has been fueled even further by WC and the announcement of CO. So I think there will be an change in the "value" of this particular feature. I think we will see either the implementation of a new tech or a rolling up of sleeves to get it out the door.
  8. Awesome! Time to get some badges!

only 2 more years togo then before i can grab one of these.......and thats why im not going to care about vet rewards anymore, it's become a "meh" subject to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Did you get off at the wrong bus stop or something? All of us were in the same boat at one time. Most played without the lure of Vet bonuses.

Pretty sure it was already confirmed the buffs affected only the owner. So the page the Devs wrote up is either wrong or they made them team buffs just in the last few days since they were discovered. Frankly I think the Dev write-up about that is wrong.

Then again if it is right this is a HUGE new advantage.
Almost too good to be true if you know what I mean...

    [/ QUOTE ]

No doubt. This is a cool pet and all, and the buff is nice and all... but i doubt i'll ever use it... I can't think of ONE of my 25 active alts that'd have a wisp/fairy/clockwork/orb following he everywhere he goes... well maybe ONE... i do have a tech FF/Archer the orb could work with... but still...

Not that i'm bashing it, but to me... it's MEH.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well I have a Cosmic character that's a living Black Hole. I can see a wisp to go along with his Singularity. Any of my tech/devices characters could use an extra drone and well the fairies really go without saying.
  11. Im sure there some sort of ridiculously long recharge rate for each.
  12. After getting team-teleport and a respec, it was hard to believe we would see any cool stuff again.
  13. Wow and I was sad about my 3 month wait.
  14. Sorry Loth missed it or thought it was a hoax, take your pick.

Sure, a dedicated person to develope PvP and promote more players to actively participate. I think there's a idea around here that would be perfect for someone like that to start with. Human Being, do you know where it is?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know a great one that has been in the works for a long time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Seems HB's idea is in some ways an extention of that, while making PvP more inviting to folks who are on the fence.

I wouldn't have a problem if the rewards were solely for the risk of PvP, but they have the NPCs that must be dealt with as well, so does that make them PvP or PvE rewards?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The rewards are PvP because PvP is the risk that is taken for getting them. The NPCs are the means by which the devs decided the rewards would be obtained.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Okay, now ask yourself if this philosophy helps or hurts PVP playerbase-growth.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I asked myself, but all I heard in response was muttering about lack of any developer focusing on PvP in the first place.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow really? In a game that was touted for not having PvP, the Devs brought of the Arena. They were popular for about an hour (exaggeration), so instead of saying, "Ahh well it was a nice try" and just scrapping it, they came out with three entire PvP zones. I think the Devs truely want to support PvP, but this game was doing fine before it, they now want some justification for why the grass is greener now.

I mean a "PvP Developer", as Castle is the "Powers guy". Get what I'm saying?

I don't like PvP, so I don't go into the PvP zones at all. I consider any rewards in the zones (badges, Shivans, nukes, etc) to be PvP-oriented rewards. They don't require PvP, but they may very well result in PvP.

  19. I don't see how some folks still want to deny that PvE content in the PvP zone is a lure to get non-PvPers in the zone. Honestly if you took all of it out, you would be left with a streamlined version of the Arena.
  20. I wonder if all the PvE content were removed from the PvP zones, how many people would still go there for the pure desire to fight a living opponent.
  21. One lets previously non-PvPer get their feet wet with the idea, check out the zone, or ask questions and the other puts a big "Kill Me repeatedly the instant I make my presence known" on your forhead.
  22. I still don't understand what the the big deal is about flags. Is it that folks are envisioning people toggling their flag on and off to attack people without being attacked?
  23. We have no money this weekend so it's Top Rahmen and CoX.
