  1. Congrats UHB on your 4 year anniversary!

You guys are a great bunch, and I personally have enjoyed teaming with you and appreciate your continued support at the raids.

    May your success continue.
  2. Congrats on your badge, Steel.

Don't listen to Fanged Knight and his unsubstantiated acronyms.

Happy to help steel. I'll look you up next time I run one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same here. Hopefully I'll be around to help out.
  4. Welcome to Champion.

Good call on the SG. Hope to see you around!

Happy Birthday Demo! Hope it's a good one. Wish I saw more of you in game.

Lay off Felicia guys. If my L23 Illusion/Super Reflexes Defender can solo Hamidon, I'm sure it's possible to kill Nictus Romulus four times in 60 seconds solo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have a lowbie Ill/SR Defender kicking around, but I had no idea it had such potential. Looks like I've been doing this Hami Raid thing all wrong. Thanks for the heads up.

    Also,

If your into PvP contact Protectors of Neverland, Pingu Coalition, L.E.S., or Renassaince De La Veritas.

Renaissance de la Veritas is a PvP SG? Sweet, I had no idea.

    MA Mondays!

Starting soon with arcs by Wrong Number. Please come to RWZ!

If that means that we try a different night than Saturday, we might need to do it. Maybe we can alternate weeks on Sundays with the Hero raid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd be more than willing to try to work out an alternating schedule if it turns out that Sunday nights are best for raids for most people. This would also free up some of the blue side leaders such that they could help out in the red side raids at a time that they are able to commit to.

Now, with that said, there needs to be some grave cleanups concerning his research. First and foremost, this is not an experiment. There are no variables. There is no control. There is no causality. Nothing in this man's research even remotely fits the model for a psychological, sociological, anthropological, or scientific mode of experimentation.

This is a case study. It has no applied value, no heuristic value, nor theoretical value. It is, for all intents and purposes, an observational case study. However, it is not natural observation. The researcher heavily involved himself in the carrying out of his case study to such an amount that its value is lost. He became, as he details, emotionally invested in his research. That is the first, and cardinal, rule of research -- don't get involved.

I'm still seeing the words 'research' and 'study' being thrown around a lot. Generally, when one conducts a study, or some kind of experiment, there is a clear objective in mind, a 'purpose' if you will, that relates to a measurable outcome. You might want to state some sort of hypothesis, and announce the method you are going to use, outlining controls and variables that can be later used as a basis of comparison such that the results may be interpreted in an objective manner. I've yet to see anything that resembles a study or experiment, or any kind of premeditated structure used to conduct said research.

To me, it is simply the story of a professor's experience participating in a leisure activity. The fact that he is a professor does not make what he does in his free time 'research'. The fact that he is a professor does not make everyone he has an encounter with a 'test subject'. The results of his 'study' are nothing more than a collection of observations. Furthermore, he has chosen to report the worst of those observations and draw conclusions.
  12. Right then. Thanks for keeping track of the important stuff.

    Happy Birthday!

    Thanks BMT

Welcome to the blue boards, Emperon! Don't be a stranger.

It's a non sequitur argument you have there, Cobalt. That is, I am a college freshman, but it does not follow that I am young.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That may be, but I'd say the fact that Cobalt is cantankerous in nature adds about 30 years or so onto his actual age, causing him to be certifiably 'older and crankier'.

    MA Mondays!

    [ QUOTE ]
If you guys are still running this monday june 30th i can join you. If you want to test my arcs they are:
    (This is a Trilogy)

Illicit Affair (ID 39278), 5 missions, takes about an hour.
contains: Arachnoids, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns, Rikti, and Rogue Arachnos. 6 AV's and 1 EB.
Illicit Affair is a gadgeteer and Public Relations expert who promises to make your group one of the premier supergroups in Paragon City if you help her test her gadgets.

Dragon The Destroyer (ID 184844), 5 missions, takes about an hour.
contains: Crey, Longbow, Paragon Protectors, Vanguard Shield, Vanguard Sword. 5 AV's.
Your group is under the power of Illicit Affair, she has used her gadgets to bend you to her will. Her master Dragon The Destroyer has ordered you to capture the Freedom Phalanx.

The Forging Of An Empire (ID 239837), 1 mission, takes about 30 minutes.
    contains: Custom Characters. 1 AV.
To free yourself from the power of Illicit Affair and Dragon The Destroyer, you must do the unthinkable....Free Lord Recluse from the ALL-OUT-WAR Superbase!

This sounds like a very confusing story, but that is on purpose. The story is about power, corruption and betrayal.
I will be on 7pm est on Monday.

I like to run this with 4 lvl 50's with 4 sk's on heroic, it is fast paced and fun. This does not auto-sk. The story runs better without auto-sk. If you run with all lvl 50's or the members are all purple'd out i would run it on Tenacious for a fast run, or Invincible for a very tough challenge.

I'd just like to remind you that all arcs are completed in the order that they appear in this thread, and not necessarily on specific days. So the best thing to do, if you'd like to be present when we play your arc, is to keep an eye out for it in the line up I post for the evening, or in the Champion MA MotD, where I've been posting the next 3 arcs to be played.

Also, in response to i15, I'm going to cancel tonight's MA Monday. We will resume the following Monday. Enjoy.

    (Happy anniversary Wrong Number! )

    MA Mondays!

I just counted, and so far we've managed to play through 27 arcs total, averaging at about 2-3 teams per night. I think that's kind of exciting.

Thanks to those who keep coming out to show support!
