What if you miss on of your attacks? Can you make a bind to reset all the bind files to the starting attack?

Either re-load the files, or create a seperate notepad file and bind it to another key. Or do what I do and step back and hit keys until it Q's the first attack again.

Or you can create this bind:

/bind KEY "bind_load_file C:\binds\weaken1.txt$$
bind_load_file C:\binds\empower1.txt$$ bind_load_file C:\binds\vitals1.txt$$ bind_load_file C:\binds\sweep1.txt"

Pressing the key you assign this bind to will reload all the bind files.

When you’re running around in a team like a raving lunatic, the last thing you want to worry about is memorizing your combos. Worry no more! I’ve put together a bind file for you that will make your life much easier.

This works for all Dual Blade Scrappers, Tanks, and Brutes. Stalkers, scroll down for a special edit guide.

How to install:

Download the file , then unzip directly onto your C:\ drive. All the notepad files HAVE to be in a folder called “binds”, or only the first attack will work. Once the folder is in the right place, all you need to do is type the following:

/bind_load_file “C:\binds\weaken1.txt”
/bind_load_file “C:\binds\empower1.txt”
/bind_load_file “C:\binds\vitals1.txt”
/bind_load_file “C:\binds\sweep1.txt”

What this bind file does is assigns a combo to a single key. The default is shift+1-4. For example, hitting shift+1 will fire off the first attack in the Weaken Combo. Pressing it again will activate the next. And pressing it again will finish the combo. The next time you press it, it resets and starts at the first attack again.

Here is the default key layout:

Shift+1: Weaken. (Nimble Slash -> Ablating Strike -> Typhoon’s Edge)
Shift+2: Empower. (Nimble Slash -> Ablating Strike -> Blinding Feint)
Shift+3: Attack Vitals. (Ablating Strike -> Vengeful Slice -> Sweeping Strike)
Shift+4: Sweep. (One Thousand Cuts -> Power Slice -> Typhoon’s Edge)

How to change the keys:

This is actually really easy. To change what keys these are bound to, (BEFORE LOAD YOUR BIND FILE IN GAME) simply open each text document and type the key you want where it says shift+X.

For example…

Weaken1.txt
Shift+1 “powexec_name Nimble Slash$$ bind_load_file C:\binds\weaken2.txt”

Becomes

H “powexec_name Nimble Slash$$ bind_load_file C:\binds\weaken2.txt”

Nothing else gets changed. Please note it’s *really* easy to “break” a key if you mis-type a bind file. In the event you later change your mind and you don’t want to default ALL your binds, simply copy these lines…

/bind shift+1 "team_select 1"
/bind shift+2 "team_select 2"
/bind shift+3 "team_select 3"
/bind shift+4 "team_select 4"

These are the game defaults for those keys.


Stalkers:

As I’m not really big on Stalker playing, I don’t really know the combo strings, mainly because I haven’t looked. But chances are if you’re reading this, you have some interest in getting a bind file for your character. Well, that’s also easy to do.

All you need to do is change the text files where it says “powexec_name AttackPower”. Simply replace the power names so they are in the right order.

In honor of my 3rd anniversary of playing City of Heroes, more specifically having the character Fan-Fania, I am holding an art contest. So here's the info:

What do I draw?
My character, Fan-Fania, in any fight scene, or "static" pose you choose. You can feature her with a character of your own, or another character you know of, be it DC or Marvel or CoH. You pretty much have freedom to do whatever; the only requirement is that Fan be involved.


What can I win?

1st Prize:
- A Permanent Feature on my Shoutboard
- A one-year subscription to deviantArt
- ONE of the following:
*A Game Time card of your choice
*Any $25-30 sketch from any artist you choose. This can also be multiple sketches that total to $30. I have a few good artists in mind if you want suggestions and examples.

2nd Prize:
- A 6 month feature on my Shoutboard
- A 6 month subscription to deviantART
- A sketch done by me

3rd Prize:
- A 3 month feature on my Shoutboard
- A 3 month subscription to deviantART

Between November 1-30. No sooner, no later.

I will post all entries on my dA journal, then set up a poll. Through the first two weeks of December, voting will be open to the general public. If you do not have a dA account, sign up. I have tried to set up prizes so that anyone can enter, even if they are not a dA member, or don't have a character to be drawn. The prizes will likely change as time progresses and I see what I can and can't do.
