PvP is deeply unbalanced. Which is why I rarely PvP. Its even worse since issue 9. To all boasters in PvP: I completly fail to applaud your skill when PvP is now largely down to getting "uber" IO's and having a PvP build / powersets. YOu can have my congratulations when you win with a Fire/Fire blaster without a medicine pool.

PvE is fairly balanced. SOme toons Solo well, are rubbish in teams (these are often PvP toons), Some toons do the reverse. Most are fairly in between.

If you are going to have a pick up tournament with random toons, you'd need to ban the strongest support toons or randomization would create unbalanced teams I think. Or make sure there is always one in the team.

The support toons skew the team pvp tbh.

But seriously unless there's hardcore prizes I don't see it taking off. S4 worked because everything was new, there wasn't a team right at the top of the skill/experience ladder, there wasn't a set best team that'll work 9/10 times. It was just a bunch of people dicking about having a laugh trying to win free stuff.

Now though, I don't know. As much as I'd love a new pentad ladder backed by NC, I can't see it coming soon.

its a shame to see u go mate, teaming with u made pve fun for me which takes some doing had a great laugh teaming with u in the states and will always remember our couple of matches in the last squished tourny when u subbed in for gat. i'll never forget how u took apart those sonics, truly amazing, have fun, enjoy teaching and come back in the school holidays
