I just don't understand why they're fighting so hard.
Don't they know what they "win"? -
>_> I only have one that's barely bigger and that's because it was cropped to show the relevant part. *shrug* I don't want to break the forums with huge pictures, or slow people's rigs down by having endless huge images.

Yeah this was kind of the only thing I didn't like about having my level showing. Actually I'd rather have it be a toggle in your Options area, whether you see it at all over sg/tf activity there.

Stop changin the rules on me! I could have sworn it was per-your-hour... o.o

We already have costume sets, collecting interesting and themed costume parts together for those who don't want to spend a lot of time fretting over which glove option goes best with that belt.
Now that we've got more control over the coloration of our powers, and since I've already seen at least one thread about help for them, I think it'd be nice to see some "color themes" beyond merely "dark" and "bright".
For those powers which come with full sets of bright and dark, perhaps a theme for elements - greens and blues for water/earth, browns and greys for stone, tan and yellow/white for sand, etc.
While it's easily possible for lots of us to make stuff like this and share it, it'd also be very nice to have a dropdown list for it where available.
Also I'd love to see a "match as close as possible to main and secondary costume color" but... since not everyone uses only two colors that is probably either a ways off, or not possible at all, and given that not all powers use the same set of colors as the costumes... -
Where's that color chart, Bill? Someone has it around.
What we need now is a chart with descriptive terms for the custom areas, definitely. the first thing I wondered about was what would happen with the colorblind folks -
Before suggesting vehicles please do a search on why they will never happen.
Before suggesting a level cap increase, please do a search on why it will never happen.
DC may or may not be coming out 'next year' and by the looks of it CO isn't having the effect they'd hoped it might on this game. Competition is good, but "good" competition isn't there yet.
Accessories and pets, yes. I want more stuff like that. But as for making a "neck slider"? Hello OP? what?
Right now, more options on the character's body are not likely to happen. I've already explained what the devs told me at the comic con several times: there are only 2 more 'nodes' which are possible locations to place items, and after that they would have to *completely rework the characters*. Completely. So while it'd be nice maybe to have more customization in terms of locations, like eye color and whatnot, I seriously doubt that will happen in this incarnation of the game anytime soon.
I'd far rather have the group working on full power customization for power pools, adding story arcs and cleaning up hero side contact trees so we don't have to run across hell and high water to get to one stupid Fedex mission location and then run back.
Also remember: this game runs on darn near anything. To keep it that way, the graphics must either have full settings to keep the low-end on and be flexible enough to reach high-end computer's expecations. Leaving anyone behind is just not good for any game. Already there are plenty of people who can't even enter Grandville because of the video requirements, so... keep it simple but make new tilesets. -
How odd, I hope it does get fixed. Have fun wherever you can, dude! That sucks, right on I16.

Ooh, we have a Dirty couch now? In addition to the Confused couch?
Because that might get some use, right?
... Oh, that's not what you meant...
Welcome, Commander! -
Once per hour, according to your last post time.

There are plenty of artists I'd love to see illustrate my stuff, but John Cassady is god as far as I'm concerned. I have a cover and an interior piece from comics he did (this one,
which doesn't appear anywhere online any more lol because I think it's a bit graphic...)
And an interior page I really should scan, since it's just gorgeous, of Planetary. -
Speaking of the sideways skirt, it did kinda look cute but ... no.
Then there's the classic (and still happens sometimes, I think) 'hairless heads through glass'.
Remember when Faultline went through its overhaul and the old sg base exit was in the wrong place if you had the old portal?
And the 'cowering on the steps of Atlas' effect?
I put that one to good use.
At one point when they added and started mucking with sliders...

TL;DR version:
I want a new game that has stuff this engine cannot possibly handle, nor come across well in a mmo environment given the differences in people's internet service and computer specs.

If I had to choose one of my many, many characters I would probably go for my ice/kin controller Winter's True Spirit.
-
Awwww, be! Well have fun whatever you're doing, and remember I16 is like... very soon

I think that last mugging might have addled your brain, Myo

Actually City Vault was halted because of the 3rd party programming they had used to make it. That 3rd party kept changing things, and interrupted how it was all going to end up.
They may still be able to salvage the idea, just not using that company and program.
And where exactly are you getting the "xml dump" from? You're assuming that's how it's done... -
While I agree with the suggestions, I can't say I agree with the idea that there's no sense of the world/area. The mood I'm given whenever I reach a zone - Faultline, Founders, Hollows, I can't speak much for redside because I haven't had the ability to explore there much - they're each very distinct. I just feel it part of the world itself that sometimes those doors lead to very improbable places.

Oh man, so many people attending PAX will be heading to other cons...
Get well, guys!! -
If the Cryptic thing could be overcome, which I do think it's likely that's a main cause for this, they could easily release something similar to what Valve has done and have their Hammer Editor out there for general use. With something similar it might even make their OWN devs have a much easier time, as I recall talking to Clayton at year before lasts' comic con party, the new character gen stuff is very different from what they even had before at that time.
So... I am all for it. I doubt I'd ever be able to USE it myself, I've tried using Hammer lol - I know how deep that pool is. But there ARE some truly incredible modders out there for any given game community that DOES have a shared or reasonably open-source method of making their game. -

I'd like to point out that it does NOT show here in the forums. Only Paragon and NC's logos. I do expect that their "contract" to show allegiance for the original code will expire at some point though, and frankly it's been almost 2 years since the handoff. I wonder if it'd be "soon".

You might think of it that way all you want, but that's not how this game works, and the developers already tried your way before the game went into alpha. *it did not work*. It's already not working in CO, either.
A game seriously has to start out that way, and be that way through the whole of its development, in order to "work". It would be such a radical redesign on the entire balance of the game, as well as how your powers are even assigned... so...

I'm calling Thursday the 17th, though I kinda wanted the 16th lol. I'm HOPING. HOPING HOPING. gaaaaah I want this to go live...

Adding redraw would make them entirely new powersets. It's not just an animation then. So... no on that.
However, I'm sure that eventually most if not all powersets will come with options like SS and MA do in I16.
