Quote:2. U-Naught - It's funny how American Jane is sitting in that tiny chair, and little Amerikatt is totally into drawing. Kinda feels like Jane staying there was involuntary.Quote:Originally Posted by U-Naught's DeviantArt Page"Today, Atlas Park Kindergarten had a special, surprise guest visitor: the Hero American Jane! Quote:I think you may be right, Caem! On closer exam, I noticed that the side of Blob's mouth is raised -- as though he's burping after nomming something delicious! You were in the picture until a bit of ice cream melted, dripped off the cone and landed on your tail... Then the blob ate you just before the picture was taken!!

Wow! So many beautiful works from which to choose!
In fact, there were so many pieces which were aesthetically pleasing, that I had to adhere to the letter of the theme: "Everything I Need To Know, I Learned In Kindergarten".
Of all the entries, only two met that criteria. My third choice captured the *spirit* of the theme.
Therefore, my choices are:
1. U-Naught -- Captured both the letter and spirit of the theme. The work is beautifully rendered and makes best use of the materials. I chuckled when I read the description at the DeviantArt site, and had to ask myself, "Would I rather stay after class and work on my art under the supervision of American Jane ... or clap erasers?" The answer was simple. That I got to guest star in the picture was an added bonus, though it had *no* bearing on my judgment.
2. ChristopherRobin -- Earth Day is something which helps to shape the perspectives of young minds and lets them have a positive impact on their futures. Very nicely rendered, CR!
3. Frost -- Winner for reflecting the spirit of fun, innocence, and technical simplicity of Kindergarten art.
Honorable Mentions: Everyone who did not get into my Top Three! (*group huggles*) -

Yeah, the bow is just that last little "eff you" touch.
As for "hazzing" a t-shirt, I need to get them uploaded. No idea about extra-extra-petite, but I'm sure you'll want the "I <3 Nerd Flirting" one.

Quote:That vid is on a *VERY* short list of my all-time faves that you've done, Miss Sam. In fact, until I saw "Avatar", it was my #1 fave! The RMTers and their users were rather miffed at me - within 24 hours of that video going live, I got something like 168 absolutely SCATHING YT comments, in-game tells, and the like of "u ***** suk", etc etc etc. The REAL players, however, loved it. (Side note - I showed this video at my HeroCon 2008 panel on making vids, and the entire room just cracked up laughing when they saw it.)
The beauty of that vid is that it was short and to the point (and the bow at the end was absolutely epic).
Most telling of all is that the gold price has dropped substantially since you made that vid.

What exquisite work, Mr. Bindweed! She exudes power! If you hadn't said that the markers were dried out, I would never have known.
Nice picture, Princess! Nice use of color and texture. Blue and green were excellent choices.
FYI, Lusca is female. I should know, since I was her healer one day when meanole peeps were trying to hurt her. Despite my best efforts, their damage exceeded my ability to heal her fast enough. Thankfully, she slipped under the water and managed to get away and recover over time.

Quote:Thanks for including me in your piece, U-Naught! (*huggles*)Okay - here's my entry "American Jane stays after class with a student at Atlas Park Kindergarten." (Crayolas on Construction Paper):
And I agree with Juggertha - I wish I'd have worked larger. Oh well.
+10 Interwebz for including me in your artwork ... and another +5 Interwebz for getting it right that Amerikatt is a southpaw (literally)!
Heck! I'll throw in another +3 Interwebz because you made me look like a monkey. I guess that befits the "Imp of Impervium", right?!
I would also like to commend ChristopherRobin & JohnnyKat for the beautiful works they've contributed to April's Fan Art contest.
Good luck to all of the contestants!

I was on an SG team, doing the Katie Hannon TF. We got a couple of non-SG people in order to fill out the last couple of team slots.
Things were going fairly well, but then we started having team wipes around the sixth or seventh wave. It was then that I noticed that the Fire Controller and his Imps weren't around and he didn't respond to team chat or tells asking his status.
I eventually found him & his imps hiding behind a wooden wall, sponging the xp that *we* were working for.
When he didn't respond *that* time, he got kicked from the team ... and we managed to finish the TF without further wipes. -

Moar artz ... NOA! -

Quote:The conversation is *A LOT* more stimulating when I talk with the moths, birds, and squirrels. The most important question is would you chatter at moths and birds? Or just Hellions?
Very nice piece, Miss Frost. -
Quote:But I *have* a reference picture right in my sig and a face shot as my avatar.*holds up picket sign* where gonna picket Amerikatt tis she gets some screenies of her character for reference..
I'm a blue-furred Blue Russian, wearing a purple costume with 4 pink stars on each sleeve, 3 pink stars in back, a circle of 12 pink stars around a larger pink star, 7 pink stars along each leg, and a mini-cape with 9 pink stars (in a u-shaped pattern, sandwiched between 2 upper & 2 lower wavy lines) and a lavender interior. The cowl itself is very well represented.
I'd like to add how wonderful the April submissions for the Fan Art contest are coming along. I'm not quite sure if extended middle fingers, buxom Orion slave girls, and thermometers in certain places are *quite* what Kindergarteners are displaying in their artwork, though. On the other hand ... um ... paw ... I'm being home-schooled! -
Quote:Warshades can blast opponents into day-after-tomorrow, but *can* they heal other people? Nope!I just came to this thread late, and have resisted jumping in on conversations that began months ago. However when I finished reading the thread, one thing jumped out at me. Not a single person defending Kheldians mentioned Peacebringers. It's all "Warshade this" and "Warshade that".
Personally, I much prefer playing a Peacebringer than a Warshade. The whole "drain their essence" thing (while visually stunning) is about what I would expect from "The Dark Ones". -
Quote:I find it odd that *any* Kheldian would be dropped simply for being a Kheldian. I can *sort of* see if they were stretched too thin across a Tri-Form or not slotted properly, but simply for choosing *that* AT?!Let me give some examples of people who, according to the forums, will get kicked from the team because of their own foolish considerations:

I'll add the dulcet tones of my melifluous purr to Moggie's. We need more stuff in the NCStore. As far as shirts go, how about a purple shirt with 4 pink stars on each sleeve, 3 pink stars in back, and a picture of ME (see sig) on the front? Sure to be a best seller!
Quote:Furries are totally harmless
All the ones I've met so far in the game have been normal polite, helpful people - they just seem to get way more of a bad rep for the weirder and extreme section of their community than other communities get for theirs.
As in all strata of real-world social interactions, it is the extremist fringe which adversely colors peoples' perceptions of a certain demographic.
By the way, Mr. Pebble, sir ... I would gladly pay $10 for a booster pack which (among other things) contained an actual cat/kitten character skin, so that I could put a tiny costume on her and Amerikatt would actually be the size that she's *supposed* to be (she's a cat, NOT an Atlas catgirl).
I know that it would be more difficult to see a 1' long avatar (rather than the current 4' tall one), but I've got $10 USD just waiting to be added to NCSoft's till! (*waves $10 bill*)
Finally, I would like to add my voice to the multitudes who support Miss Dark_Respite's/Samuraiko's employment by Paragon Studios. She's not only a gifted videographer, but a very talented writer as well.
Her exemplary work will greatly enhance the market presence of not only City of Heroes, but Paragon Studios! -
What a beautiful collection, Miss Katfood.

Nice vid, Miss D_R. My favorite parts were the animated tails, new badges, and -- of course -- Posi dancing with the Carnies!

Quote:(*squees with delight*) Congratulations on your Blessed arrival! (*huggles*)I'm being held up by Coppercat. I'll try recreating the costume on my end but better screenies and more details would help. That and we had a baby last Thursday. That slowed me down too
