*steals some donuts for good measure.*
... ehh, it was here, and you have nice couches. I like nice couches when I don't leave customer sites till 1AM. Especially on DXP weekend.
*curls up on couch to assemble coffee IV* -
Feral Storm - 35 to 41 so far.
Seventh Line - 39 to 45 so far.
Some others being worked on, but not as significant on the progress department. -
Quote:I know. I mean, it's totally like Pocket D and it's whopping 3 people are consuming huge amounts of resources to spawn huge maps and massive mobs of nothing but bosses.LOL I can't believe people are actually trying to blame the RPers for the lag and mapserving problems. Too funny!
Oh wait... -

That new forums smell is actually toxic chemicals being released from the preservatives used on the old posts.
-
Seems to be stable for the moment, but I'm still seeing trouble with global channels - messages getting lost or taking several seconds to get through.
-
Hopefully somebody's keeping an eye out here for server issues this weekend. Globals are bouncing up and down like a pogostick now. Lost and rejoined twice in a minute. And it was working so well before.. sigh.

Virtue's finally throwing in the towel. It's taking me over 30 seconds after selection to get my character list, it takes over 20 seconds to load a character once selected, and I've been waiting over 2 minutes to get to the loading screen after clicking 'Enter Paragon City.' Character was logged out in Peregrine. I haven't had a chance to try any others yet, because the game is hung trying to get to the zoning screen.
EDIT: Roughly three minutes to get the Peregrine Island loading screen. Seeing lots of stalling, and constant mapservers now that I'm back in. -
Virtue's been reported and is being looked into. At least it times out now, instead of being a black hole from which your packets never return.

Arc Name: Internet Prawn's Happy Fun Sc4v3ng3r Hunt of D00m And Stuff YA RLY
Arc ID: 280463
Faction: Neutral
Creator Global/Forum Name: @M I M / AreEss
Difficulty Level: Silly Easy. Or just silly.
Synopsis: Internet Prawn. The most terrifying name in Paragon City, for it foretells annoyance, hijacking your WiFi and photoshopping. Hellions and Skulls fear him, for he has image editing built into his brain. Or what passes for his brain. And he's gone and gotten his hero license suspended again - this time for hanging a Hellion from the flagpole atop City Hall. By their underwear.
This wouldn't be your problem, if he hadn't found your home computer and everything on it.
Yeah. You're gonna have to help him now.
Estimated Time to Play: Estimated at around an hour, worst case.
Link to More Details or Feedback: N/A Currently
Important Notes: This arc is designed and enforced at level 1-15. You'll be fighting low level mobs. You'll be laughing your rear off. Fun for everyone!
Neutral because given it's Prawn, and license or not, we're pretty sure he's not exactly hero material. -

My rule of thumb is I never ever pose the result of an action on another player character. I was taught to pose the attempt and let the other player pose the result.
An example. Instead of "Character X puts a spider on character Y's shoulder", that should have been "Character X reaches out, attempting to place a spider on Character Y's shoulder."
[/ QUOTE ]
We need to put that in game and have it pop up every time someone logs into Virtue.
[/ QUOTE ]
We just need AreEss' Golden Rules of RP.
1) Always remember there's a person behind the character.
2) If the character doesn't belong to you, ask permission.
3) The character is not the player, and the player is not the character. If you have a problem with the character, try talking to the player.
4) Tundra calls everybody food.

oh wow! Congratulations! Quick, go get some sleep now while you still can.
[/ QUOTE ]
Too late...
...but so worth it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those who know the Smersh, know that he does not sleep. For when he rests, the capitalists will oppress the masses yearning for freedom and muffins. Possibly cookies as well.
Also, remember to mark the next KGB bake sale on your calendar. Totally unrelated, I swear. -

.....Ok. New approach.
We need Back Alley Brawler now. We summoned a Hickman. I ain't cleaning up after it!
[/ QUOTE ]
Just let Tundra deal with the Hickman. Then rent a pressure washer and load it with lots of bleach. I don't know what she's been eating lately. -
Tundra will go threaten Longbow into clapping for her.
Because she needs to remind them that she's sexy. -
Just my $0.02 as ever, but I think a lot of it is people not realizing or particularly bothering to be aware of the fact that actions have consequences. Maybe they're just used to always getting their way for whatever reason. I can't speak to that.
All I can say is that I have had two people who immediately became disinterested when I didn't respond to lame pick-ups - despite the fact that they were hitting on a character currently in a relationship, and another that eats people for fun. I'm sorry, no.
I've also had two people who took it just fine, no problems, no loss of interest. We found other common ground, and had interesting IC conversations, and have talked again.
There just seems to be a genericaztion, for want of a better term, of flaws and traits. Anything that doesn't fit into that generic mold, people take offense to, or think is you screwing with them, or whatever. I've always reveled in complex characters, which have flaws I think are more akin to what people of their sort would have. If a character's been the way they are all their life, why should they be freaking out about it? It's normal to them. By the same token, not everyone is going to view gaining powers one way or another as a blessing. And it just seems to me that a lot of the people I've seen that I'd consider "problematic" for one reason or another, have views very contrary to this, and no interest in seeing it any way other than what they want. -
Poke me tomorrow. We should talk Icarnus. Fits under Elemental, with a twist.
Tundra's an Icarnus. -
Who are the contact people for Virtue LFG? I think maybe channel info should include some method to contact a moderator, if the channel is invite only.

What servers are seeing problems?
[/ QUOTE ]
Virtue is definitely completely hosed. No global channels or global friends, doesn't look like it's even trying to connect to globals. -
Redwinged is back in town, and already appraised of the situation. She'll be there.
Redside, I'll have someone. I just don't know who yet. -
[ QUOTE ]
Not even WoW is that stupid. It would totally alienate ANYONE trying the game.
They ban you from Broadcast or Trade, and you can't trade/use mail/use the auction house, and there is a limit on how many tells you can send in a given period, but they don't outright stop tells.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, they do.
You have to have the person you're trying to send a whisper to in your friends list or you can't.
Yes, I'm on a trial account currently. -

Don't worry, the devs don't read this board
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't say that.
[/ QUOTE ]
So when are you folks there going to do something besides reading our little section of the forums? Like, say, giving us a Community Rep, perhaps? Or acknowledging the numerous issues?
Or should we assume the sole purpose of the Devs reading this forum is to find difficult to reproduce exploits for them to fix?
(Yeah. I went there.) -
Sorry, no screenshots, I'm lame.
- The dragon head (Monstrous/Beast 6) clips through everything at the base of the neck. And I do mean everything - front and rear.
- Glam hairstyle embeds itself in your shoulders. Could use a fix for that.
Thanks Jay!
