  1. Sign me up as an alternate for Muse of Destruction (Crab) please E. I probably will be able to make it, but because my brother is trying to set something up that's family related and hasn't even told me what day this week it'll happen, I can't completely guarantee I'll be there.

    Thanks.

  2. Can I get an auto signup as an 'Alt' member for these teams with Muse of Destruction? Odds are I should be able to make most, if not all of these (and will try to let you know ahead of time if I will), bust since I can't garuntee anything on certain Wednesdays over the next few months...

Thanks! And I'll send the Crab then.

I was unfortunately insanely burnt out for a bit (all right, so pretty much for the last year), but this past weekend was enough to get me more or less playing again (at least for now).

  5. Long time no see, E!

If you don't mind a small 'blast from the past' I could send one or the other of my Muses (probably Muse of Destruction, my crab, but I can send something else if that doesn't work) to help with this.

  6. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for running this Valor!

I kinda hope so. After my last post I got curious and did a count of articles dated October 5th or newer that had the tag champions-online associated to them on Massively, and then I counted the number of articles from that same time frame that had the tag city-of-heroes associated to them, and I came up with 33 CO related articles, and only 12 CoH ones (of course some of those talked about both CO and CoH, as well as other MMOs, so I'm not sure if that's truly a valid count).
  8. Gel, you should have the 'Friends of Fire' brigade help with this event! That way we can show 'em how to really have a 'hot' time on the ol town tonight!

*Hides from everyone groaning at the bad joke*
  9. Bah. All I'll say is that I sare someone to go and count the number of articles that Massively has done in the past month about CO. Then in turn go count the number of articles they've done about CoH. Then post the counts here.

Why am I saying that? Because at times Massively has come off as majorly CO biased, at least in regards to the number of articles (which are probably being fed to them as press releases by CO) and in their opinion pieces (which are as biased as the people writting the opinions). Heck, they didn't even do an article about the GR reveals at Herocon until almost 24 hours after MMORPG.com did an article (which itself was posted half a good 3-4 days after Herocon ended), and after they were prodded about it by people via Twitter (likewise MMORPG.com did the better part of a full page article, while Massively did a parapgraph). It almost makes me wonder if all of their 'articles' are spoon fed to them at times (especially after their article which were basically CO patch notes and article just announcing that players in CO were getting free respecs at the time).

    -Aoide

P.S. Anyone who does do the count, be warned, every week you try to coount for, there'll be multiple CO posts, but multiple weeks between any CoH related posts.
  10. Microsoft just confirmed that there's a key logging worm out there (that sometimes even embeds itself in MMO games) targetting MMO players, so make sure to update your anti-virus software and run it regularly!

Since I got this from two different MMO news sites, I'm including the links to show that I didn't make this up:
    http://www.mmogamer.com/11/03/2009/v...ets-mmo-gamers
    http://www.massively.com/2009/11/04/...s-mmo-players/
  11. Unless something comes up last minute, I'll be there for this. Not sure what I'll bring yet, but....

    First of many...

    Tax....

I can't even find words for that. Or I should say I still can't. That's insane, but in a good way! From another member of the Sisterhood, thank you!

As to everyone on team #1, that was a kick *** run! Thank you!

Of course I can't help but find this a little ironic. I have 2 out of 3 of the mo badges on my Vil badger (which I haven't done any serious badging on in a long while), but none of them on my Hero 9which is on another server).
  14. May you have good luck, and fun in what ever you do from here on out, Joe!
  15. Count me in with Muse of Destruction, E.

That way they're not busy for Halloween itself when they bring their younger friends/siblings out trick-or-treating and can get candy.

P.S. I can't believe I forgot to say this earlier, but I can't wait to see you back again Dazz!
  17. Happy Halloween to everyone!

Hopefully you and all of your stuff survived Cabbage Night in one piece.

    The 600 Club!

Just hit badge 600 earlier today, and I'm still doing a 'happy dance' over it (especially since I was working on Flashback Badges recently, and the enemy bug was causing flashback badges not to award for some reason).
  19. I'm surprised I didn't make a post yet, but thank you for the review! (I admit I've held off as long as I have because I've been afraid to look at the review) And I agree, the reviews do help!

As for things you mentioned in The Null Earth Saga:

Loose/lose - Fixing that as we speak. I guess this is what I get for using an Internet grammar/spell check web site.

Retro Arachnos - The for/against Recluse is a hold over from using the 1960's Arachnos enemy group. I've yet to find an easy way to fix this without turning them into a custom enemy group, which has the potential to mess with what I wanted the enemy groups to consist of in that later missions 'Arachnos' appears in. In other words, I'm working on it, but it might not be fixed 'Soon (TM)'.

Mish 3 - I'll just say that I've never been fully happy with this mission, and wanted to go with a map that isn't seen that often. The clues made sense back when I was making the mission, but I'll try to fix them, and the mish as a whole.

Mish 4 - I'll be blunt and say this right now, the map is to blame for more problems making this arc than all the rest together. For any mission that requires multiple allies/enemies, it's a spawning nightmare. While I never ran into your 'Couldn't find 'em' bug, the running back and forth is not as bad as it use to be, back before I tied various things spawning to other things being defeated. Originally, with no spawns tied to any others, it'd spawn a boss right at the mission entrance, but it'd only spawn for some reason after the other named bosses were defeated. Again, I'll try to fix this.

5th Column - Again, I'll try to add more information in regards to this. Originally this arc was intended to be one of a set of semi-related arcs (all of which would of been part of the Null Earth Saga), thus certain facts were meant to be held back, but I'll try to fix it so things are a bit more clear without giving too much away (in case I ever actually create those other arcs).

More details (including in Mish 5) - Working on it. I'll put them in as soon as I can figure out just what I want to stick in, and how I want to do it without having to completely redo everything that's already been done.

The other bits - Let's just say that as I work on this arc I'll keep referring to your review as I try to improve things.

    Again, thank you!
  20. It was a good Run E. Sorry I was kinda (all right, a /LOT/) out of it during the run. I have no excuse. Sorry.

  21. Dang you Bubbawheat and your stealth edits/additions to the list of winners.
  22. Marcian Tobay. Or he should get a special award because of what he just put up on Twitter:

    Quote:
@MarcianTobay Got a request to tweet the AE winners. As Westley said to Buttercup...
So, to anyone who was nominated for an AE award at HeroCon, Marcian Tobay will tweet when he finds out, and in turn I'll try and stick them up here ASAP (unless someone else beats me to it).

And yes, I believe this is the same Marcian Tobay from the forums.
