Hey guys.
Anyone willing to share a pic with my guy, Viewtiful Shmoe? I just got this cool idea for a pic in my head now, but I need a Stalker to put in. Really, it could be any villain, but a Stalker would probably be best for the pose I'm working with. I'll be pencilling and inking this one. Maybe colors if I like it enough.
Thanks! -
Really great stuff! I hope to see more!
Now don't get in a rut and just not do it. -
I actually did have that before, but only for the first contact on the list, no matter which character.
I updated my ATi drivers. Fixed the problem. Have you tried that? -
The hardest step is starting. Can you do stick figures? Draw a stick figure, then try adding circles and ovals to the stick segments in order to make muscles. If you work at it, you can improve in front of your eyes. Always keep experimenting.
In less than a year, I went from this to this.
Good luck! -
Just uploaded the new file because I felt like fixing the problem. Wow: huge difference. Went from 2.5 MB to ~300 kb.
Thanks!
Finished version coming...eventually! -
Yeah, I figured out why it was so big a long time ago: There was a part where I had copy and pasted the same frame with a drawing while only changing one part (that ending thing). That'll definitely be fixed in the final version.

Hey, guys. Just wanted to clue you guys in on a new flash animation series a friend and I are working on: Peeping Tom.
You can check out the rough work for the intro here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/51554447/
It follows a superhero, Peeping Tom, who has the amazing ability to see through glass, air, water, and some species of bird. He's also a birdwatcher. His favorite birds are unfortunately the ones he can see through. His sidekick is I C Things, who usually does most of the work for him. He's the small guy in the French get-up.
This series features a somewhat wide cast of random character that'll be revealed over time. There's also bickering and random conversations between myself and the other people involved in producing the episodes. This can usually be seen throughout episodes or works in very small details you have to look for to see. Try finding some in the preview; you may have to stop the movie to find one.
In case you're wondering, the song was produced by my friend and I. He came up with the main bass and guitar riffs. I just did the little squeadly meadlie solo part.
I hope you enjoy. I'm on spring break now, so we hope to finish Episode 1 before we head back to school. Stay tuned. -
I just use the space I have on my desk. Right in front of the monitor.

I still completely support 'Drawing From Real Life' though :P If you can find a good model (or yourself, in a mirror), it will help much more than already drawn pictures. Learn the way the REAL human body works, and then you can draw comic style or anime style pretty easily. Don't start with comic style or anime style first :P It'll handicap you later At least so I'm told. And there are exceptions to the rule.
Remember 100 bad drawings for every 1 good one!

It doesn't work that way for everyone Rowr. It sure as hell doesn't work for me. I need printed knowledge on tips and such.

Whole. Eee. Carp. I finally got how to ink digitally on my tablet. I found my niche!! Yay!
Practice
For those interested, here are my brush settings (Photoshop 7.0):
(With Document at 72 pixels/inch--I'd reccomend going higher):
Brush tool:
Width: 5
Brush tip Shape: Angle 146, Roundness 32, Hardness 100, Spacing 1, Opacity 100, Flow 100, Mode Normal.
Shape dynamics: Control pen pressure (for tablets!!), Minimum diameter 8%.
Need to work on varying line weights with pressure, but I'm happy how it came out (save for the gun--I'd probably redo that, that's what I started with). I'm really excited to use this in my future works!
Edit: ooo--changing the resolution to 200 pixels/inch made the inking process a LOT more bolder.
