    Brute != Tank.
    Dom != Controller.

    Sure, a brute will possibly take an alpha, do you expect him to be a taunt-bot for you?
    And a dom uses their secondary too which, unlike controllers, doesn't normally help with the control/support.

    Just sayin'.

    Well, of all the toggles, only Lightning field is end heavy, but I don't think you'd use that for PvP. The others drain 0.1 to 0.13 EPS(I think it's EPS), so that's quite good.

    3 slotted, you get 41.3% res to all but energy, neg, and toxic. Energy gets to 97.2%, neg is at 35.4%, and you don't get any toxic res except in Power Surge.
    If you add tough into the mix, that's a good 59% s/l res. Not bad, eh? With Power Surge, you're pretty much capped for all but psi and toxic. Psi stays at 41.3%, while toxic gets 41.3% res. I like these numbers.

    The bad point, of course, is no self heal. Aid self I find good, slotted with interrupt reducers.

    As for kb protect, in PvE grounded is more than enough, however in PvP you'll be chasing people alot, most likely in the air, so I'd reccomend Acro, if you can fit it. Lightning reflexes is ace for getting your powers to recharge faster, about a DO's worth of recharge I think. Only skippable powers, in my opinion, are lightning field, Grounded(if you get acro), and conserve power. Power Sink can get you end when you're toe-to-toe with someone, so long as they don't run away.

    With 8 people, that's 20%def, and 3 slotted, all of them, 31.2% def. Don't look like near the cap to me
  6. AM has no status protection. That's status resist, doesn't stop you getting mezzed. Besides, the only reason for doing this is not because it's t3h l337, but to show empaths can do more than just heal. Or to fail showing that. Plus, empathy will mean we get lots of regen, too.

    My favourite Offender conept had to be the Rad/* Offender who let their teammates die so they could cast Vengeance and then go to town with Fallout. As such, you could Radient Aura. Something about being able to heal but choosing not to is just really creepy for a Defender - especially if you don't tell the PUG you just joined why I heard a team of 8 such folks could lay waste to pretty much anything, but that was before (and probably why!) they made Vengeance unstackable.     I've always wanted to do a themed offender team. If anyone else wants to try the whole 8 xrad/rad I would SO love to try this. I think rad/rad would be the best thing to have 8 of because EF+AM+Leadership alone, on all 8 people pretty much provides you with all the defence, accuracy, damage, stamina, recharge and status protection you could ever wish for.

  16. Hmmm, seeing as I've already got a kin controller, I may tip towards storm.

    The thing is, if I went for, say, FF/, would the time freed up for me to blast be worth it? Like, would I even be able to do noticable damage?

  18. ... no idea as to what primary though. I'm looking at kin or storm at the moment. I'm mainly PvE. I'm thinking of kin, so I can pump out some nice fast damage/buffs, but at the same time storm looks like it can give me a pack of great tools.

    Advice?
  19. Yeah, I will always carry a respite or two, but in most situations, 2 DO intreds is doing me fine. Just as long as my team knows i am NOT the tank, especially as I have no AoEs/taunt auras. I'll possibly take the alphas, aid self as soon as most of the DoT stops, and watch the agro spread as I beat on the boss/lieuts or whatever.
  20. I was thinking of LR before Rage, simply because I have so few attacks, it helps to chain them better.

  21. Well, aid self is handy, seing as /elec doesn't have a self heal, and with 2 intrrupt reds(3 at a push), I can pull it fine under heavy DoT on other chars.
    On rage, may swap it with grounded. And I will be on the ground most of the time, it's just I'll be using hurdle to get around
  22. Okay, I'm currently building my SS/elec, level 11 atm. I'm skipping my travel power until 41, which is fine, I can do fine with just hurdle Now, I'm unsure on the order for a few powers. These are Aid Self, Grounded, Health, and Rage. Health I definatly need to have before 20 (For stamina), and I want a self heal at the moment. Will I need it anymore with health? It doesn't boost much, so I think so, but what of Grounded and Rage? Is that kb protection essential, or can I sacrifice it for more damage? Bearing in mind, rage won't come into it's own until SOs, when it can be perma'd.

    I made a /psi defender on test, and found mental blast actually fast, compared to how it used to be!
