Forum Cartel's sappin his team!
[/ QUOTE ]
Obviously his team isnt lvl 22 on the count of I see the same ppl in my /search and they are either A already on team or B not lft -
[ QUOTE ]
Those aren't terrible builds. They just not optimized.
If you're looking for absolute optimization, then yes, Stamina is required to reach a level of optimization you are looking for. That's already been mentioned previously.
I'm confused as to what you're looking for? You want someone to show you an optimized PvP build, or a farming build, without Stamina? And one that you personally don't think sucks?
And when we do (Warshade), you'll make the assumption that you must now only play Warshades? Well, if you want an optimized build without Stamina, yeah, you'd pretty much have to play a specific build, AT, etc. That's what you ASKED for.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm primarily a pvper and I pretty much always need stamina for dueling and such. -

Currently on a team of 5 with a lousy healer because there are like 2 healers around my level lft right now...And i sent a tell to every single 1. Go ahead, make a lvl 22 team right now, Red Side.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a problem I find that is very much prevalent blueside and almost non-existent redside. You don't "need" a healer, or any archetype for that matter. Let me give an example: I ran a Moonfire TF with my Warshade a few days ago with: 3 scrappers, a blaster, and 3 Defenders. The defenders were Trick Arrow, Sonic Resonance, and Cold Domination. That means we had absolutely no heal and no Tanker. We still completed the TF in a reasonable amount of time (between an hour and a half and two hours, not entirely sure) with only four deaths throughout the whole TF.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have everyone on my team that would come...4 people total right now, trying to get more. -
Once again, how many Farm builds/PvP builds can go without stamina?? Regen Scrapper? I think not, especially when you are facing off against a really sturdy brute. Fire/kin trollers with transference? Maybe if u are io'd out and slotted for some major rech, tried it before without stam, it sucked terribly. Give me more terrible builds to play without stam please. Do any of you people actually play the damn game? Log into freedom on a busy day, ask, would you guys like for there to be no need for stam, but rather have it as something that just adds to endo? Then ask, do you find it harder to find a team these days? These are things i discuss daily on my server, the information is there, the problem is, all you forum [censored] rarely play on freedom

... and then tried being disparaging when someone *cough* went on the exact same server, within minutes of your post, and found plenty of folks willing and waiting to team. Were it not against (or at least very grey in) the forum rules, I'd have happily posted the character names of those people so you could /tell them and ask to team.
I saw no lack of "LFT" broadcasts, as well, in Cap as I went about my business either. Again, jumping from Marshall Brass to the PVP zone liason to do the talk to mission and back, I saw enough unique (as in non repeated) LFT broadcasts to have formed a near-full team if I'd so chosen to.
What your issue is, opportunity for snarky remark about that aside, I couldn't say.

Dude, when I made the post I wasn't lft, it was addressing my experiences since coming back as compared to four months ago...man how can I put this in layman's terms for you people? You in particular do not seem to understand that it is no specific instance or day, it is that generally it is tougher to find a team. Plain and simple. As simple as I can put it.
[/ QUOTE ]
"Dude," I can find a team at any point, any time.
And no, to head off any chance of this being brought up, it's not because I'm a "forum name." Fewer than 10% of the population is on the server, and I don't name every character some variant of my forum name - it's not even my global *on either account.* Nor do I advertise who my characters are. Yet through two separate means (the search tab and just LFT broadcasts that came in,) I could've thrown two near-full teams together.
YOU, on the most heavily populated server, the same one I hopped on, couldn't.
I could do the same thing right now and you'd probably call it "not valid because it's a weekend" or some nonsense like that.
The issue is not the population or how difficult it is in general to find a team.
Edit: I'm half suspecting your definition of "Find a team" is "Fill up a full 8 person team before I get started or it doesn't count."

Ares, there's a very good bit of advice found in a book about writing professionally, and I think that it applies to pretty much everything online:
"If one person gives a disparaging remark, it's their opinion. If 10 people do so, it might be time to look into their complaints."
So far you've seen plenty of ways that other people have directly found teams, and direct evidence that there ARE people playing, teaming, and doing the typical things that we all do in this game. The fact that you're "not" finding them, seems to be because you aren't doing those things.
** Get on a global chat channel that actually has people on it. Not one that your friends might have been on at one point but they don't play any more.
** Get in a supergroup that has people on it all the time. Not a big deal to find one on Freedom, I would expect.
** Search your server's forum threads about teaming, task forces/strike forces, groups, and events.
** Arrange pvp in your forum threads in the time and zone you're most likely to be on. By making the first move, people will follow YOU. By waiting, you're going to be twiddling your thumbs for a long time.
Standing around for 20 minutes yelling 'lft!' isn't going to cut it. Being polite and asking people first before sending a blind invite is good. Being *respectful* of people who "don't pug" is nice too, you don't need to assume that they're being snarky or having their noses stuck in the air at you, they *don't like teaming*. Move on. There are plenty of people playing.
So yeah, so far, it's been 'you' here, and no fault of the game or anyone playing on it. People are back to playing in different zones - gosh that's why there are so MANY zones... Because there's content in them. AE farming is gimped now, good. That means that the AE will be used for it's intended purpose of having people write great stories and entertain themselves with it, instead of merely rocketing through the levels. Pvp? Has long been considered a joke in this game, and pretty much everywhere on all servers pvp is way down from what it had been, especially with the 'nerfs' encouraging other folks like myself to head into the zones or participate on a more fair basis. Redside has *always* been more empty than blue. I don't know what time of day you're trying to play, but some hours are just less busy than others.
All of those things, you can easily change by creating a hero - or waiting for the GR update, that may change the dynamics a LOT.
But waiting for things to happen for you, not gonna work. Go down to the forum area and start something up yourself. You may be surprised at how many people are interested, even if it might take some time and effort to get rolling. Hell if we can do it on Protector, you can do it on Freedom.

You can make a highly functional build without stamina.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, let's take this ball and run with it. What build is "highly functional" without Stamina? On what AT? And don't say regen; tell us something new. After all, the canon argument is that no one needs Stamina; one of the real thigh-slappers I remember was that people who picked up Fitness are "greedy."
[/ QUOTE ] Warshades.
[ QUOTE ]
And even if you can think up a build, how does that address all the others that cannot move three steps in any direction without it? Rhetorical question only, there.
[/ QUOTE ] Rhetorical or not, I'll answer anyways. Oh wait, I already gave some suggestions on that. Which you ignored.

I believe you've amply demonstrated your point already. After seeing the way you've behaved in this thread, I wouldn't want to team with you either.
If you want something in the game changed that will let you share the same amount of company that others can find on Freedom, look to your own demeanor.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you actually read the post before once again blindly typing like and idiot you would have noticed that I began the discussion asking for someone to suggest another server before being met with "it's just you" "wait all you wanna do is farm?" Yeah, I take the defensive approach when people start to insult me. Sorry that I just don't sit like an idiot because a bunch of vets that want the game to be "THIS WAY" and never "THAT WAY" tell me that i'm playing a friggin game the wrong way. Sure, you 'legends' and 'forum cartel' are the majority here on the forum. You guys tend to move away from the subject, insult the OP, and blindly agree with one another based on the shear fact that you are used to one another. But go ahead, keep it coming.
As for my friend that thinks stamina is unecessary...ever PvP, ever Farm, ever actually help your team do stuff? Give me a break dude. For a decent steady amount of damage/heals/buffs/debuffs at least at those levels from 22-40 you will need stamina, and maybe IOs will help after that but def not for my play style. -

If you ALWAYS have to get stamina you should make your builds better. That simple. If I can get by without it, anybody can.
[/ QUOTE ]
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
And yes, that was sarcasm. Once again, what is claimed on these forums and what goes on in the actual game bear little to no resemblance to each other. If they DID, everyone I saw without Fitness in-game wouldn't 1. have 2 ticks of END left at all times and 2. be continually begging for spare blues.
Next: Forumistas claim that their Dark/dark Brutes and Scrappers NEVER need Fitness and HAVE NEVER NEEDED IT. If yours do, UR DOIN IT WRONG. Once again..... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiight, I believe that. I sure do! You bet.
p.s. to Ares: I agree that an Ice/psi Dom is an unpleasant creature indeed; mine made it to level 18 and then was deleted in a fit of rage, mid-mission. Logged off in the middle of a mission and nuked her right then and there! that was how fun she was to play. WORST EVER

Challenge?! If they are looking for a challenge go play Halo or go fight GMs solo lol. Personal experiences proove otherwise. Team wipes generally mean half the team is quitting. When I said buff I didn't mean like perma build up, I meant slight buffs, to ease the leveling. Also, please help me with not needing stamina lol. I play everything but stalkers and pretty much all of my toons need stamina II have discuessed this in-game with multiple people and it would appear that most of us need stamina, maybe not at lvl 50 when we IO out but at those important levels while leveling, i'd say it is a must have.

Try soloing with a ice/psy dom...no dmg at all. takes like 5 minutes to kill minions lol. Same can be said about my troller. Not every toon can easily solo, and it is annoying that I ALWAYS have to get stamina. Also, i do not disagree that this game is easy because it is, but how does buffing pve really hurt anyone??? Will people really complain that it is now easier for them to do damage in a mission!? I think not my friend. -

Here's a question for you all to chew on- should newbies to CoH/CoV ever Powerlevel?
In my opinion, no. Once you've been playing for a while and understand how the game/archetypes/powersets work, then go ahead and PL.
But if you're new, I don't believe you should be PL'ing. You do yourself and your teammates no favours if you've quickly gotten to a high level and still don't know where the auction house is, how to find the train stations, and such, or how your archetype should function.
Instead, if you're new, take your time. Play through the game's content- what's the point if you skip it all just to hit 50?
Learn how the different archetypes function, what their strengths and weaknesses are. Observe the different powersets in action, note their pros and cons. You don't have to be a master number cruncher, but take the time to understand how enhancements work, how to get around, use the markets and NPC stores, and so on.
In short, learn the game before you even think about PL'ing.
You have friends who've been with the game awhile? Either have them make new characters to play with you, or have them SK you and do some of their missions. The beauty of the SK/Exemplar feature is that people of different levels can play together (minus level restricted zones and TFs).
Of course, with any rule there are a couple of exceptions I can think of:
One might be that the newbie has some supportive real-life friends, or a very supportive SG who help them gain levels quickly, but at the same time are also doing a lot of teaching about game mechanics, playstyles, etc. So the newbie does not end up with a high level character they are clueless about using.
Or if newbie needs to level up a character quickly for a specific purpose (they are in a PVP SG, or their SG needs a few more of a specific AT for things they like to do), and helps the newbie roll a character for that specific purpose and level up, again with lots of teaching along the way.
Aside from those sort of scenarios, newbies should not PL, IMHO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Problem is newbies log into their brand new MA edition of CoH Atlas Park and bam!!!!! Not sewer teams, but this new thing "lvl 54 boss farm" "AE farm!" Poor newbies, no choice. They just simply think this is the way. -
Addressing as many of the posts that have been made since I logged off today for work. To all of you saying "there are specifically x amount of people lft right now, try harder" I have been leading teams since I first started playing 17 or so months ago and I know how it works. Just because someone says "lft" in their status or w/e it doesnt mean they are lft just simply send tells and you will realize that only about 10% of those tells are returned which is complete BS. I always respond to every single tell i get, come on ppl! it takes 3 godamned seconds.Go ahead! Please keep posting numbers out of the air, this doesn't change the fact that it is substantially harder for me to find a team now than it was 4 or so months ago. Also, when I mentioned PvP zones i was not mentioning pvp teams but raw numbers, the fact is since i13, where CASTLE stated for a fact on test that "this is not for the general pvp public" that is jsut a slap in the face, and since i13, the PVP population has diminished significantly. I'm sorry that I wish I could find a team at 12pm pst 3pm est when I generally log on but it is just not there! Maybe on blue side, but i havent been playing there lately. But the facts are here, i'm not lieing about not finding a team, im not lieing about having so few people to pvp with. Believe me, I have no investments in any other game, my only investments are the CoX toons I have spent countless hours on and If anyone wants this game to do well It is me! Ares as many of you know me. Farming, Tfs, PvP, Radios/Papers, raids, I love it all! And I just want this game to do well and continue to prosper but atm, I just do not see it. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, I am just stating that I feel this game could be doing MUCH better. For isntance, buff up pve toons a bit, one way could be making stamina less significant.

It's just you. If you cannot get a team nor pvp on Freedom, it's definitely just you.
The population of the game has *increased* measurably and visibly in the time since I13+ has been out. If AE farms are "terrible at best" ... Don't do them.
Start a real team, in the right zone, for your level. Nothing wrong with that.
[/ QUOTE ]
If the game has increased since i13 I am really not seeing it at all and I am 100% sure I am not alone. How about you go out and check this place out before opening your mouth. Sure, I get a bit of pvp in, but nothing compared to the population that I saw pre-i13 which is funny. -
