Quote:Can't log in here either. Never got a patch and my updater also just says "version" instead of the actual build number.I am getting the same message and i have tried to log in several times. I also noticed on the initial start up page where it says Project City of heros, it now just says version where it use to list the patch numbers. guess ill keep trying to log into the game.
Hmm still cant log in ...this is frustrating
Edit: Well, after closing and re-opening my updater for 20 minutes I finally got the patch! -
I can be a teamless player if needed, since my kin won't need to be on a team to buff people with FS. I also have a few other 50s I could alt to mid-raid.
My vacation starts after Dec 17th, so after that for about a month and a half I'll be able to participate in the weekly raids again! -
The first ever Strike Force Saturday Apex TF was a big success! Thanks to everyone who showed up. We had a full team and everyone had their Alpha slotted, which was a big help. The first mission went smooth, I think we only had one or two deaths, and one of those was someone who went afk briefly. The second mission had a lot of deaths of course, but we stuck with it and finished the TF in just under 1:30. Here's the screenshots:
My pre-Tf pep talk. Team Roster. Strike Force Time.
As usual more screens can be found here, along with a couple of group screenshots at the end with Stargeek and Antisocial spazzing out.
Next week we will be doing the Tin Mage Task Force. Since that wiki entry I linked to has no real info, I'll give a little bit here.
Just like the Apex TF you need to have something slotted into your alpha slot otherwise the enemies will be +8 to you.
The first tough part is the malta AV. He spawns a ton of land mines all over the room. Constantly. When I did this TF in beta we didn't have much trouble, but I read of others who had a tough time so I think I just got lucky.
The next really tough part is the fight with Bobcat and Neuron. Bobcat can two-shot a brute who is at the lethal cap and Neuron spawns a ton of clones of himself. I've heard that you need to defeat the two of them around the same time otherwise you get a debuff on you, so keep that in mind.
I think that covers the important parts. There's no real tricks to this one like there was in the Battle Maiden fight.
If you're up for this one meet up in the Rikti War Zone next saturday, december 18th at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST! -
Do you guys want to meet up tomorrow and finish it? I'm available any time after 1:30am PST.
-
So, we attempted a master run but that didn't last too long. Thankfully once someone died we cut loose and had a little more fun with it. Also I remembered to take screenshots! Including a shot of the team Roster and the Ending stats.
And of course some action shots can be found Here.
At the end a few of us were talking about next week and decided to go for the Apex Task Force. Since there's no Wiki Page for this TF yet I'll give some of the basic info here.
First, all the mobs are level 54, no matter what. If you don't have something actually slotted into your alpha slot you will have a -4 level shift put on you, so the mobs will effectively be +8 to you. So I'd like to have everyone have something in their alpha slot. Now this isn't set in stone of course, something like an empath wouldn't really need it to be able to heal well, so use your best judgment.
Second, this TF is very range oriented, but that doesn't mean you have to have a lot of range. On the beta server I took part in an Apex run that was all melee except for 1 blaster and we still were able to finish without too much trouble.
Finally, expect to die a lot on the Battle Maiden Fight. A lot. Do not stand still in this fight any longer than you have to, this includes melees. Just because you can laugh when statesman punches you in the face doesn't mean you can shrug off the AoEs that pop up in this fight. Everyone that stays in one of these dies, no exceptions. This fight will be a lot of hit and run tactics, -regen is VERY useful, so bring an envenomed dagger or a vanguard heavy if you can.
If anyone else has any helpful hints, please post them here.
Now, all that being said, if you still want to join in meet up at Apex in the Rikti War Zone next Saturday, December 11th at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST. -
The Lady Grey Task Force went well, and of course I wasn't paying attention so I have no idea how long it took and I forgot to get a group shot before everyone left. Still, 3 of us stuck around for fun in the last room so I got a screenshot of that:
I did at least remember to take one or two action screenshots while everyone was still on the team, go Here to take a look.
According to the List, next week's strike force is the Barracuda Strike Force. So if you're a villian, level 45+, who enjoys beating up nazis, then meet in Grandville at Barracuda on Saturday, December 4th at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
The late night version was just as fun as the morning one. Thanks to everyone who showed up!
-
Well, the early edition of Tanksgiving was really fun. We all had a blast running around like idiots without having to protect squishies or worry about being squishy. In fact we all had so much fun we came back with alts to do posi part 1 a second time with non-tankers. Mostly to help out a scrapper that wanted to join the all tanker team earlier... even though that scrapper didn't show up for it when we came back to run it for him. :P
Again, the late night run will be at 9pm PST/12am EST, so meet up at posi if you're interested in that. I *should* be done with my holiday stuff by then, but if it looks like I can't make it for some reason I'll be sure to post here to let you know. -
What I will end up doing is running it twice, once at 11amPST/2pmEST and then another at 9pmPST/12amEST. Those that are interested can attend whichever one fits their schedule. I'm sure there are non-forum players in game that may want to join as well, so I'll be advertising on Protector TFs, Protector Vigilance, and Protector Watch when I form the teams.
-
Well, we managed to get a full team, but without buffs or debuffs we couldn't finish the final mission. Still, we had fun along the way! I forgot to get a group shot, so instead here's a screenshot of me doing the grief emote outside the grandville hospital. :P
Next week's strike force will be the Lady Grey Task Force, so if you want to fight clockwork, hami, and loads 'o rikti, meet up at Lady Grey in the RWZ next Saturday, November 27th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!
*shameless plug* Also, if you're interested in my all tanker posi runs on Thanksgiving day, be sure to check out this thread and let me know what times are good for you! -
So more of my actual thanksgiving plans are in place now and it looks like I either have to do it at 8pm PST/11pm EST or sometime before 2pm PST/5pm EST.
-
I'm also on the west coast. I was thinking later in the evening might be best, sometime after all the family obligations that many will have on that day. Do you think 7pm PST/10pm EST would be too late for some people?
-
Ok, so I'm thinking of arranging an all-tanker posi run(both parts) on Thanksgiving day (Thursday, Nov 25th for those that don't know). If anyone is interested, then post here to let me know what times are good for you and we'll see if we can get this together.
And yes, I'm doing this entirely because I enjoy the pun. -
Personally I just wish they'd throw out the whole teammates increasing criticals thing. Instead, make each skill's crit chance based on that skill's accuracy. That fits more thematically with stalker crits representing their skill at hitting vital spots. Either that or add a debuff like -regen that procs when a crit or AS lands to simulate "poisoned blades". Not saying either of these would solve any stalker problems, I just think they'd fit with the stealthy assassin theme really well.
-
That depends on what ATs show up for it. If we think we can do a master run I'd be up for it, but otherwise I'd like to keep it casual. People tend to get bent out of shape too easily on master runs when things go wrong.
-
Sadly no one showed up this week, except rin, who was late and couldn't get into cimerora anyway. I did manage to join an ITF that was already forming, but since it wasn't really SFS at that point I didn't think to take screenshots or anything.
According to the list over at Paragonwiki, next week will be the Lord Recluse Strike Force, and if Issue 19 makes it to the live servers before that I don't think we'll have any trouble finding people to fill a team. But, of course I'll give the first spots on the team to any SFS regulars who show up or post in this thread. So if you want to take down those pesky heroes and hopefully get some shard drops, meet up at the big spider himself, Lord Recluse, on Saturday, November 20th at 5PM PST/8PM EST. -
That's awesome, but I still prefer Nemesis Crunch.
-
We had a very good team for the Ice Mistral SF and managed to get it done in under 45 minutes. Unfortunately my "toggle screenshot ui" button must be set up wrong on my warshade so I didn't get the exact time or the team roster. I did however remember to get a team screenshot (minus our MM who left the mission before I could get the screenshot) as well as a couple of action shots during the boss fight and ambushes.
Click here for the other screenshots.
According to the list next week's Strike Force will be ITF so if you're level 35+ and need some roman costume parts, or just feel like experiencing the lag that you've been hearing so much about, meet at Imperious in Cimerora on Saturday, November 13th at 5PM PST/8PM EST! -
This sounds like a really good idea, but I think it should be a global thing, not just Protector. But even if you make it global you could still organize stuff on protector like you suggested, and have others who run things on their own respective servers, that way any arcs that generate buzz on the chat channel would find a larger audience.
Even better if you have a full on committee attached to it, kinda like the PVP committee and I think a base building committee is starting now. Except you'd have a specific dev you could contact, unlike PVP and bases. Maybe you could even work out a deal with Dr. Aeon where the committee could make dev choice recommendations to him. Unless there is already a MA committee I don't know about, if so disregard this whole paragraph. -
Yay, we had a lot of good players this week, and also Rin was there. The Tesseract SF was over in under 20 minutes and was a total breeze. The Lazarus SF was also pretty easy, but got very chaotic at the end when the AVs kept calling in ambushes. We managed to finish that one in just over 45 minutes, so we almost made it under an hour. And I remembered to get a group shot at the end!
Also, click Here to see a couple of bonus screenshots taken during the SFs.
Next week is the Ice Mistral SF, level 35+. Meet up in St. Martial at 5pm PST/8pm EST on Nov 6th to join in the fun. -
Quote:New patch notes for training room. Its not critical, which at this point is the only patching the will do until i19 goes live.
What was that again about non-critical patches before i19? -
So, looking at the list over at paragon wiki, it looks like this week is the dynamic duo of Mender Tesseract SF and Mender Lazarus SF. Tesseract's minimum level is 25, while Lazarus' is 30, and I think last time we were able to get both done in under an hour total (not counting the brief break in between for people who wanted to switch characters). So if you want to fight some retro arachnos and then go overthrow the 5th column, meet in Ouroboros at 5pm PST/8pm EST on Saturday October 30th.
-
Those are all awesome, but you really need a nemesis one! Maybe one where the bottle cap is actually hidden on the bottom and the one on top is just a decoy.
-
It was a good run, the only faceplants were when we got separated. Our time was 1:03:18 which is pretty good since we weren't ghosting or anything. I have a few more screenshots posted Here, one of which features a robot getting tossed about while we were lining up for the official screenshot.
