I've got a couple of video cards around here that I could get on E-Bay now for next to nothing! When are the graphics card companies going to reimburse me for the price difference!?!?
Pththththththhh.
I want to know about the offline character "awards", myself. XP while offline? A new line of badges for days offline? ("AWOL" badge - for being offline for 500 days! ) -

Who cares....what are these future IP plans? How do these changes affect the IP, and how does the IP affect the combining of the games? What does this all mean? Any ideas?
[/ QUOTE ]We are getting CoX vs Marvel.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, with DC vs Mortal Kombat, I'm figuring on CoX vs Soul Calibur. I sure hope Sister Solaris is an unlockable!
Offline rewards... ummm... that sounds like a system where you get xp even if you never use a character. Some other MMO's have used a system like that. I'm kinda hoping that isn't what this is. -

Justice never hurt so bad. Action Shot

Could be worse. I think it's a mercy we can't see his face.
You've heard of angels dancing on the head of a pin? Well, Castle can dance on the small of a back. BAB is doing an interesting dance back there, too.
Nem staff attack
Slapped!
Stomped!
Trick shot - I can beat these guys standing on my head!
Static Discharge
Dead Drone 1 and 2
And... a few hundred more. I better quit before I blow the whole afternoon. -
Oh my. You, uhh, did get one of those bio-degradable microphones, right?
-
Number 12 in order of submission. Certainly not #12 in order of quality. Quite a few of those are past 'blah' and into 'ouch.' The World of Warcraft one was all right but, I mean, come on. WoW and "go fast"? Yyyeeeah... Pwned.
I hope they show your vid on the Discovery Channel! -
Chat bubbles can be a bit tough. Remember, your video is going to be shrunk down to a little square. People with higher rez monitors may have a hard time reading them.
My own voice sounds great... with a nice skull to act as a sounding board. Now if I could just figure out how to stick the microphone far enough up my nose... -
On the plus side - lots of folks are hitting Gametrailers.com now to watch E3 trailers and there are big advertisements for this contest right there for them to see.
On the minus side - Gametrailers has started letting some RMT advertisements through again. They are for Everquest but still.... I complained about these advertisements once before on their forums and the advertisements did vanish for awhile. Now they are back.
I wonder if NCNC could explain the whole "RMT is bad" concept to these people better than I did? People around here clicking on the winning video and finding our old spammer company's advertisement sitting in the links below it wouldn't go down too well, IMHO. -

You can always buy more CDs and rip those to your computer if you don't have the song you want already on it or use something like Itunes to buy more songs.

<AHEM> Probably not a good idea to go recommending illegal activities (assuming the OP actually intends to share this video). -
That sounds like it's saving wrong, which isn't surprising. Those bases aren't text data like the rest of demos, they are binary. My demo editor doesn't even try messing with that stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if Notepad got confused sometimes, too.
It's a pity that the base command doesn't use that old "uuencode" technology to store 8-bit binary data as 7-bit text. Ah well. -

Why is it that I can get 30 FPS while recording with FRAPS in-game at the highest quality but when I launch a demo in the DemoLauncher and try to record with FRAPS -- even at medium quality -- I get like 5 FPS? What gives? Is there a workaround? Tweak?
[/ QUOTE ]
Dunno, I don't use FRAPS much.
If you are using Vista, make sure you are running the game under the same account as you normally play the game. If you normally enter your admin password to play the game then right click the demo launcher and run it as admin as well. That way it will use your real game settings.
Make sure you haven't got any advance settings left on, either. If the demo launcher is craking up the vis scale to 400, that would certainly slow you down. Quick way to check this is to turn on the "show command" option in the bottom left.
[ QUOTE ]
Also, Why is there no 1280 X 720 Resolution in the DemoLauncher?
[/ QUOTE ]
Cuz I don't know what crazy widescreen options you LCD people have these days! "My Default" should make it run at whatever your normal game settings are.
BUT - if you really want, you can just type in any resolution you want. Just give it the same format as the other resolutions.
BUT - dang thing has a bug in it. It's trimming an extra character off somewhere.
BUT - I fixed it. Version 2.0.2.1 is now ready for download at the same old place. Also fixed a similar bug that was causing the fool thing to think you were not pulling your demo from the demo directory. -
Awww, I wanted to see them crash into each other! Preferably with some big guy in white and blue armor getting smushed between them.

You can get almost all the CoX music at ftp.coh.com under music.
I know there's one animation not playing right now but that's on the Widows, not a plant/thorn.
You might want to look at WeGame.com and their video recorder. When you don't pay for FRAPS, it's pretty rough. Also, there is a command in the game that will let you hide the entire interface. Check in the options menu under the keyboard controls. You'll need to pick a key to use for it. -
You could do a bit in a Council cave base, then a bit in a Council cave base, then one in that multi-level pool room, then back to the Council cave base....

...although if I can scrounge the extra money, picking up the World Music soundscape stuff for AcidPro might be a good place to start
[/ QUOTE ]
Whosee whatnow? You've got a microphone, you've got a voice. Sing it yourself! You'll be done in 10 minutes and won't spend a dime. -
Check the keyboard binds in the Options window, there's an option to bind a key to 'hide interface.' Letting the camera roam free is quite a bit more difficult. Check out demo editing on ParagonWiki.

Hehe, Hex Girl WILL make every single dev (past, present, and future!) understand that the costumes have changed!! Keep fighting the good fight, Hex! (Because I want my original face back!)

Also, Loved the Bab 5 vids.

I've been meaning to watch those, I really should...
[Zloth spits Coke all over the monitor]
MARRIED and you haden't even watched B5 together yet!?!? That's.... that's just not possible! Oh wait, now I see, this must have been one of those pre-arranged marraiges! -
Cryptic still has their logos all over town, too. I don't think they want us to get DQ'ed if one is visible.
Better watch for in-game ads, though. -
Makes me want to hunt down one of those books.

...and hearing it. Perfect music!

!!!!!! Holy excriment!! That was great!!

The song itself actually sounds VERY familiar to me. I could swear my sister played something like it (many MANY times) back when we were kids. I've got no idea what the song's name/composer is but I can whistle it just fine. A pity there's no tune-google where you just whistle your tune into a mic and google looks up the song.
Ashecraft: Holst's "Mars" can be your next project. Just don't make it TOO scary, ok? -

Has anyone grokked what Toyota is really looking for out of all this? I mean, I'm guessing that it would somehow tie in with a marketing campaign for the Matrix.

Sounds right to me. I already ran into some advertisements for the contest over in Stardock Studio's forums.
