Gotta go with Posterboy!
Evens it out boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl. Plus he is devilishly cool.

Pretty sure it started with a 'B'.

This thread was serious?!? -
Ohhhh niiiice. I like the skintone you set there.
You may wanna say something akin to "May be NSFW," somewhere, though.
Oh! Also!

Did you make one for Ish as well?
Being the other side of Badge's brain, they still share the same B-Day. -

My time in the secret service has served me well but seriously, I was running a search for something and saw the piece you did for me and so I clicked on it and found your little hideaway
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess this means I should actually start posting some more work up there... sheesh! -

Is this a good start for a beginner?

Definitely.

I suppose I should have read the entire thread and/or looked at the dates of posts before I posted, but I still think that book is an excellent choice for a beginner. -
Awwwwwww. That's cute.
Just don't push yourself too hard with this, hon. You don't want to make things worse. -
Ohhhhh Viking, you crazy scamp.
Oh, and TA, tell Peng that the coloring on that is awesome. -
I like that style.
We definitely need more gore around here.
Just one question, though - On the tail of the trenchcoat that is over the right leg (our perspective) there seems to be a washout of the ink, where the black doesn't look as solid as the rest of the coat... Was that intentional? Because it kinda pulls my eye off the figure and brings my attention to that corner of the piece. -
That's right.
I'm here.
What more do they want before joining us? -
Awesome, man.
That giant mech makes me chuckle. -
Niiiiiice layout.
I love to see backgrounds with action in them. -
There are no skeptics. I'm just being a dick.
Edit:

...how in the world did that make it through the filter? -
I signed up.

I'm a bit wary, though... The board's User Agreement said something akin to "anything potentially NSFW is potential grounds for legal action."
Now granted, that is a translation as I interpret it, but the way it was worded has me wondering...
Oh, here it is:

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you.

Most of that list I agree with, but it leaves a lot of questions as far as what art pieces we are allowed to show. -
I have it on good authority that Trish from Food Services had a hand in creating this thing.
(>.>
<.<
I would have said "from Accounting" but it is always the accountants who did it... Which is why Trish has slipped up and let her secret out. She never thought anyone would suspect someone not from Accounting.) -
This is precisely why I prefer to use paper for the drawing portion of my art.
-
Because then it starts to get Spammy?
Because what if, sometime in the future, leadership in the SG changes around for whatever reason? Or we decide to spread to a new server? Or the base has a fire and we have to evacuate all of our things because our base insurance isn't all that great?
Ok, maybe not that last one, but still. I think having ALL the info in one place is a gooder idea, personally. Now, if we updated all the major info every couple of pages or so, well, I think that might be a good plan. -

Another tip for graphire users is binding rotate image to the two buttons at the top of the pad, bind the left one to rotate counterclockwise, and the right to rotate clockwise. Might help you paper twirlers
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm...binding rotate? Please elaborate...(fellow paper twirler). :-p
[/ QUOTE ]
I dunno what to tell you, but, as a paper twirler, my Graphire has no hotkeys to bind things to.
