Quote:Is there a trick to sending your dxdiag in a PM? I keep getting an error message. For those frequently crashing in Incarnate Trials: I'd appreciate receiving any PMs with your dxdiag info. This info will probably be cut off by the text limit in the PM, but we don't need the parts that get lost.

Better late than never! So I forgot to take screenshots until the fight with Reichsman, so this week's album is pretty empty. Oh, also we failed the Master run again, but at least this time it wasn't my fault.

We improved the Strike Force Sunday average Barracuda time by almost 5 minutes, not bad for a cautious master run!

Next up on the List is a double header: the Mender Silos Strike Force followed by the Apex Strike Force! Mender Silos starts in Villain Ouroboros, so only Villains and Rogues can join. So if you're interested meet up in Ouroboros next Sunday, October 9th, at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

I usually don't get home from work till around 10pm PDT, not sure what time you guys normally run?
-
Had sort of a late start this week since an Underground trial started recruiting right before I did, but eventually enough people joined. Also I kinda slacked off with the screenshots again AND forgot get a screen of our time so I don't remember how long we took.

So I must have been really absent-minded earlier because I announced in-game that next week would be Mender Silos and Apex, but then I checked the List and saw that next week will actually be Barracuda. So anyway, next Sunday, October 2nd, at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT we'll meet up in Grandville for Barracuda and probably try another master run, since that one is so elusive.

I do plan on leading sewer trials more often in the next few weeks for new players to see what the game is like on a team. Redside of course. The last thing I want to encourage is more heroes on protector, we have too many as it is.
-
OH!!! I'll be there, probably with my main. Elec/Dark brute.

Quote:I generally have to restart the client after each trial to avoid crashes. I say generally because every once in a great while I will be able to skip a restart and not crash till I try to exit the trial. Also I have never made it through an entire underground trial without crashing, even when restarting right before. I'm guessing this is due to the length of that trial. This particular crash report is from a lambda trial.
I have had these crashes during BAF, Lambda and UG trials. Can't say anything about Keyes, I've never participated in a Keyes trial (not popular enough)
Restarting the CoH client after doing 2 trials seems to avoid most of these crashes through, and some other people on the trials today told me they do the same. -

It was a day of many crashes. Somehow that made me forget to take lots of screenshots. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Next week we'll either go for the Lord Recluse Strike Force, or if that hasn't been fixed yet, the Barracuda Strike Force. So if you want to do something somewhere, meet up next Sunday, September 25th, at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!
-
Yeah, so no patch which means no fix. Looks like this sunday we'll do the 3rd respec trial and then a Lady Grey Strike Force.
-
Ok, so if tomorrow morning's patch doesn't include a fix for LRSF we'll do lady grey instead. Either way I'll post here tomorrow evening to confirm.

Well, I went ahead and started a Protector-based villain group on Exalted. If anyone from protector decides to roll a villainous alt over there and wants to join just let me know.

So tonight when I get home from work (8:30pm PDT/11:30pm EDT) I'm going to run an Ice Mistral strike force to say goodbye to the Circle of Thorns' current look, since tomorrow they'll be getting their makeover. If anyone is interested in joining post here or send me a tell (@Zaloopa) around that time.

This week was ITF and it filled up fast. I know I'm surprised.

Next up on the List is the 3rd Villain Respec Trial. And since that will probably only take about 10 minutes we'll also do the Lord Recluse Strike Force! So meet up in Nerva next Sunday, September 18th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

So on a whim I tried to copy the files from my beta install to the test folder and it seemed to work out well. Now I just get the database error that everyone else here is getting.
-
Yeah, the ITF grind has *mostly* been replaced with the incarnate trial grind.
-
I get an error at the launcher that says "No patches were found from version 2010.201105180358.1.0 to version 2100.201109080039.1.0. Please select "Repair" to bring City of Heroes Test up to date." and I've repaired and tried again several times and keep getting the same error. When I force play without updating it doesn't show the freedom load screen and I get the error "You are attempting to access the server in an unsupported manner. Please contact Customer Support at http://support.cityofheroes.com."

I was having similar issues a few months ago. It turns out my DSL provider oversold locally and had too many people using the same gateway router. After about a month of dealing with their tech support they finally admitted the problem was on their end not mine but said that they had no plans to add another gateway. My options were to either quit and find another company that hadn't oversold or stay with them at a discounted price and hope one of their other customers quit.
Anyway, if your netgraph shows red spikes like Arcanaville mentioned then try the line test at www.dslreports.com and use their forums to try and figure out where the problem is. They even have techs from some of the major DSL providers that frequent their forums and help resolve issues.
